Decent coffee, with a fantastic selection of very good-looking cakes, though I didn't indulge on this occasion. Nice coffee in a great city

Coffee served was good. Toilets disgusting, mens toilet wee all over seat, ladies toilet no soap and no toilet paper, not checked for four hours, staff were informed, but after thanking me, went and closed the toilets rather than cleaning them, no excuse as they had no customers to serve.

Nice and cool in the hot weather and nice and warm in the winter weather, good seating and stuff on sale for food and drink options as well.

This Caffè Nero is mostly excellent. The staff are all wonderful, helpful, and polite. The coffee and food are excellent as is the atmosphere. The only thing letting this Café down Is the terrible internet/wifi. Paying for drinks/food by card/contactless is a nightmare. You need multiple attempts for the transaction to work. The general Internet is non-existent and you can't get online anywhere in the building. This is affecting the staffs ability to do their jobs properly and affects the customer experience. If anyone from Caffè Nero's head office or I.T.dept. see this review, then I strongly urge you to install a mesh wifi system throughout the building and fix the Internet as you're losing business. Other than this, it's a wonderful Café.

Review 1 : Warm and cozy atmosphere with great service and would definitely visit again. Review 2: On my second visit I wanted to mention that coffee was great, service was excellent but Internet service not so much. Struggled to pay via app due to bad Internet connection. So hopefully the company are able to sort that and make the transaction in the future much easier.

On entering we thought nice place. Coffee good staff noisy but friendly. I used the toilets but they disgusting. Build up of dirt every where,floor skirtings and the bin covered in grime all round it. As I left the toilet you could see all up to front of cafe so the light was good. The floors were disgusting. Not just a days dirt but a lot of built up dirt ground into the floors which made the whole place feel dirty. Crumbs on floor and tables. Sorry won’t go again. It was quiet so staff could of bin cleaning up.

Me & Parnter always find staff to be super friendly & we enjoy the Croissants etc for a quick bite to eat

I like Cafe Nero and love the currently closed one nearby and their staff. However, the lady who wears the barista of the year runner up t-shirt in this particular chain is quite rude. Clearly barista of the year is solely based on the coffee and not customer service… Because she has none.

Tables needed a clean, overall look of a very dingy, dirty run down cafe. Friend had piece of cake which was so small you could hardly pick it up. I had cold drink, no glass offered at counter so drank it out of bottle. No atmosphere and not much customer service. Prices nice and high though.

Great location to sit and have a coffee, watch the world go by.

I've been putting this review off because I couldn't find the words to describe the service in which I received. I am a man of the globe to which loves a good cup of joe and I will say the service from Amelia. From the moment I walked in, she welcomed me with a warm embrace of honesty and companionship. The service, coffee, carrot cake was impeccable. All credit goes to Amelia. Not all angels wear wings Sincerely OB

Dirty cafe, lukewarm tasteless hot chocolate. Male bathroom out of order and the female bathroom was unclean and unsanitary. Avoid.

When ordering my 2 hot chocolates and 2 cakes only 2 of the 6 people behind the counter were serving, once drinks were obtained we sat down to find they were almost cold, definitely not hot chocolate. When we complained we requested tea instead as time was short, we were offered no refund or apology. We appreciate they were busy but at the price (£16) the drinks should be at least hot.

The staff at this cafe need proper training as they are simply not able to do a proper job, not able to do proper hot drinks and also a good manners course is needed for them. Tables are dirty and they never come to clean/clear them. Pity as the location is nice.

Called in as we needed a toilet stop & thought we'd use it as an excuse to get a coffee as well (Mocha & Latte). Found the drinks a little lacking in flavour which to be fair can happen anywhere. Our local Nero is overall really good but even there you can get a weak drink with no flavour from time to time. Couldn't stop off at the toilet either as we found it was blocked off with chairs & a cleaning sign. All I can say is those toilets must've ended up being cleaner than a hospital because after about 15 minutes or so there was still no sign of any cleaner coming out of there. Unless of course no cleaner was in there. So we left with bladders more full than when we went in. Seats were comfortable though.

Was ok. Nice coffee but still charge 40p for oat milk and no vegan options for breakfast.

Nice fresh baking. I had a mocca which was very nice and a chocolate and caramel biscuit. The others enjoyed their coffee and cake. Staff good and very welcoming. Would go back again.

Stopped off for a flat white and mince pie at Chester Caffè Nero. This establishment is very nice. Staff are polite and service was excellent. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere and the seating and tables are good. There are toilets 🚻 and is ideally located for Chester shopping area .if you're in Chester and fancy a coffee ☕ pop in you won't be disappointed. 👍🤷🏾‍♂️

Friendly staff. Good drinks. A chain coffee shop. Serving good coffee, light food a tea is okay, with a reasonable selection of teas. This Nero stays open later than most other places. The inside is generally relaxing. There is outside seating where you can see eastgate clock. There usually are some vegan and vegetarian cakes and snacks available as well. Thee is a disabled bathroom, good access and customer bathroom at the back (a few steps down, nothing much). Access around Nero is good.

What you would expect from Cafè Nero, reliable service, good food, and a nice place to sit and relax for a bit. Staff have always been friendly and efficient.

Always a pleasure to go for a coffee first thing on a Saturday morning. Coffee is nice and hot. Tables and chairs are always clean too, unlike some other well known coffee shops.

An oasis of cool on Tuesday as it was very hot ,the staff were very good and kept refilling the water jug with iced water, coffee and a bun were very enjoyable thank you girls

Typical Caffe Nero, as usual better coffee than another unnamed coffee chain ( they Costa bout the same) Comfy two seat table in the window to watch Chester go by.

Ordered from a delivery app and received the wrong order. rang the cafe and instead of informing us there was nothing they could do, they instead mocked us to their coworker while still on the phone

Went in and got a flat white and a latte and were served by charlotte. We were very impressed by her professionalism and the fantastic quality of the drinks, we had to go in again for more! She is a standout employee who deserves a pay rise!!!!!

Great place to study or work, lovely staff. They have sections towards the back that are useful for groups too. Usually open late compared to other businesses on site which is a huge bonus.
