Came today for the spa day and lunch and was absolutely blown away how peaceful it was. I had a back neck and shoulder massage by Katie W and it was so relaxing and tranquil. I came extremely tense and in pain and Katie soothed all my tense areas and my body felt so relaxed. I then went on into the spa area and the facilities were fabulous especially the salt water plunge pool. My friend and I came away feeling so relaxed. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, we'll be booking again soon.

As a world traveller I have a lot to say about different hotels :) this quaint hotel is A real hidden gem!!! What a wonderful hotel & spa it’s very clean all of the staff can’t seem to do enough for you :) we stayed in a twin room which had lovely views of the hills :) the price was the most competitive too and we would absolutely would recommend this hotel to everyone!! Absolutely 5 star treatment

We've just come back from here and wow. It's incredibly rare we'll leave a review, however... It's also Been a while since we had an absolutely INCREDIBLE meal. We had starters, mains and dessert. Not one dish disappointed. We both had beef burgers. Absolutely incredible, even if you take away the toppings, the actual meat was top quality, superb tenderness and flavour, superb thickness and denseness. We recently to Marco Pierre White and this place absolutely superceded Marco's. It made Marco's look like a McDonald's. The dessert was amazing. Service was friendly and swift. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They seemed to enjoy their job. The food was excellent and the dining room was very pleasantly laid out We enjoyed the swimming pool, together with steam room and the sauna. Plenty of parking. We found our 2 day stay relaxing.

We had a fantastic time in the White Spa. I’ve been to a few others and this one surpassed them all in that everything was right. The staff were absolutely brilliant, spa and facilities were lovely and clean, tidy, inviting spaces to be in. Facilities were great and no crowds. It was lovely and peaceful, relaxed and the treatments were amazing. Nicola was brilliant and my treatment was so needed, I want more already. Food was great too and a really speedy service. Will definitely be going back again. Hopefully very soon.

Stayed for a few nights B and B. Room itself was nice enough, good shower. Wish we hadn’t bothered with the breakfast, strange system of having to prebook precisely what you want down to the exact sausage the night before with exact time you will be downstairs. Don’t really understand this especially as breakfast is £10 each set fee and latest time is 9am. I have never stayed in a hotel with this system, set menu or the £10 price tag which feels designed to spend as little as possible on food while clawing more money off you. Sparse offerings in terms of cereal no pastries etc. Didn’t bother having the breakfast for two mornings as it genuinely didn’t suit us, asked for refund but as was prepaid we were denied. So if you want to sleep in a bit don’t bother at all. Another issue was restaurant opening times; not open Sunday evening which was disappointing but fine the barman gave a recommendation of another pub restaurant. The booklet in our room said the restaurant was closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It wasn’t, we walked past a full restaurant on Tuesday evening after having gotten a takeaway after a day out, we would have preferred to try the restaurant which gets good reviews. Also found spa staff unhelpful when I enquired about availability for treatments during our stay and were told no availability at all. No effort to slot us in if there was a cancellation or an ask of how long our stay was, just a feeling they didn’t really want to help. Overall odd experience there. I probably would go again as location suits me for visiting family but definitely not bother with breakfast some lovely cafes near much better value and less faff. The room is definitely serviceable and is in a good location but definitely skip the breakfast offering .

Quite pricey but located on the campsite that we were staying on. Fine dining with an excellent choice from the main menu and also recommended chef specials. Dog friendly which is a big plus for us as we travel everywhere with our dog who is as much a part of the family as we are. Dog treats on the bar and bowls of water readily available. As I said, pricey but you get what you pay for and The White House certainly ticked the boxes. They also have a spa attached to the pub, so I can see the missus treating herself to a pamper the next time we visit.

Very very disappointing, kitchens were visible and my husband ordered the Fish n chips only to watch the chef scratch his head, wipe his nose with the back of his hand and then manhandle his food onto the plate! When it came out my husband refused to have it and told them why but they still charged us for it which wasn't cheap! Lesson learned, won't be making that mistake again!!

Staying on the campsite at the back of this restaurant. Was highly recommended to come and dine here and WOW we sure wasnt disappointed. Food was spectacular, so delicious. We had dessert as a takeout and even that was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone. It's that good it's even worth driving 1.5 hours from home to eat here again and bring the family. Photos don't do the food justice but look fab all the same. Staff very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Couldn't recommend any more highly 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The room was OK but simple and basic, our shower leaked, soaking the bathroom my wife reported it and was given extra towels so that we could clean it up before the maintenance man came to look at it. Tea and coffee had 4 tea bags, 4 coffee sachets, and 4 small milk pots, could have done with extra milks. The Sunday menu is limited, but the food is cooked well and presented nicely, although it is a bit pricey, the staff are very helpful and don't rush you even towards the end of service. The bar isn't the cheapest, but again the staff are very friendly and helpful, unfortunately even for people staying the bar closes by 8.30 (I can understand it with how quiet bars are these days) it does mean there's a lack of drinks for anyone who doesn't drink tea or coffee

Didn't stay in the building but in the caravan park behind. Service excellent and quick, squeezed us in without a booking on a Saturday night, no problem, so book if you want to be sure. Very vibey bar modern but chic. Nice menu, staff are happy to spend time making sure you got exactly what you wanted, tweaking if necessary. Not the cheapest, but attention to detail and food quality and ambience show that this is no 'pub grub' establishment. It's definitely worth a visit especially if you're looking for somewhere a little bit more special.

We recently got married here and it was perfect! The room is beautiful and the private courtyard garden is perfect for stepping out for some air. The manager Kylie was so lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble when it came to planning and arranging meetings. The food was amazing! All my guests kept telling me how much they enjoyed the food and how generous the portions were. The bar and waiting staff were all so lovely and friendly, nothing was ever a problem. Lastly the DJ included in the wedding package was brilliant! He knew how to read the room perfectly and keep everyone on the dance floor. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone for any kind of event. Thank you all for helping make our day so perfect

We have been to the White House on two occasions and the food has never disappointed. The service has also been outstanding: on both occasions we have had the pleasure of Gracie serving us - she had remembered us from our first visit and took time to interact with us, which made our second visit feel even more special … thank you Gracie. The second visit was for my fiancé’s birthday and the staff made it special by surprising him with a dessert . We will definitely return … highly recommend it.

Amazing!!! We had a half day spa package here as a couple and what bliss it was. The spa is modern, bright and clean throughout with the staff being absolutely professional and courteous. We absolutely loved our time here and will be looking to return soon, a great one of a kind spa who truly care about the little details of what makes a good spa.

Lovely place.. lovely food.. but meal spoiled by service.. no one seemed interested in looking after us.. we had to ask several times for dessert, coffee and bill.

I love this place, for a Sunday dinner the food is amazing!!!! Service is the best anyone could ask for, set in a picture-perfect location, however party nights aren't quiet there yet. Food and service isn't as good, but atmosphere is fab and tbh worth going.

Nice looking room but all furniture low level. Nowhere to apply makeup or use a laptop. Small TV long distance from bed, basic hospitality tray, stairs to 2nd floor rooms an absolute killer. Bathroom mirror broken so no light above basin, minimal toiletries provided

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. You can also have your food served in the bar which is dog friendly. They have treats for your dog which mine really enjoyed. Will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed a half day spa and treatment. The service was great, all the staff were so professional. The food choices were excellent with a good selection on offer. The spa itself is modern, intimate and immaculate. I had a facial which was one of the best I've had, and my friend had a massage and felt the same. We will definitely return.

After being recommended this restaurant during our trip away for our honeymoon, I was absolutely shocked at the service. The waitress who took our original order could not have been more disinterested, instead choosing to look out the window while we were talking to her. There was then over an hours wait between the starter and the main course which would have been fine as we can appreciate Saturday nights are busy except during this time not a single person came to check if we needed anymore drinks, to the point we had to flag down a waitress to order more who then looked extremely annoyed. We were essentially ignored all night, the only saving grace of this place was that the food was nice. The service was absolutely abysmal, I would 100% not recommended this place, in fact I would encourage people not to dine here.

A star down this time due to some of our party not enjoying the food. The onion chutney on the burger just didn't work and maybe should be served seperately and the duck stir fry was considered lacking in duck and somewhat watery. Apart from that it was fine though mash would be better than chips with steak and ale pie and more veg would be nice

Visited for a family birthday. 2 of our party were vegans and the options available to them were not good. One was a pasta dish, which was not very exciting, nor did it have much flavour! It said it came with garlic ciabatta, but it did not. I assumed this is because it would have dairy butter, this could have easily been swapped for vegan butter. Yet we were still expected to pay the same price without the ciabatta? Also, the vegan burger was not a vegan burger, rather a vegetable burger. The dessert's were also way too expensive for the portion size. The customer service was not the best either. I had high expectations for this, thinking it was quite 'posh'. But it was nothing special at all.

New manager sticking his oar in from the get go instead of leaving front of house to do their job, but a fantastic meal out. Food tasted great and generous portion sizes. Only slight was empty glasses never got collected so we had quite the stack by the end of the evening on a table of six. Can thoroughly recommend just for the food though.

Lovely staff, food is always delicious.. Spend every birthday here for a meal! Never disappointed.

We have just got home after a meal along with my brother and his wife at the White House and had to write a review about the evening. The food , drinks and service were all fab and James our young waiter dealt with my brothers heckling of him admirably and that young man has a very bright future I think. Well worth a visit for good food , nice surroundings and attentive and very pleasant staff-I also discovered Alcohol free Gin tonight which will be my go to drink when driving in future-10 out of 10 from me guys👍

Ambiemce and service amazing! Food very uninspiring. Really let down by quality of food. Penne has too much oil in it and didn't taste as expected. Steak was bland. They didn't have any sauce but mayo ans ketchup! No salads came with any food items.

We went to the spa last week on a Friday. It was lovely and quiet. I felt like had it been busy there wouldn’t be enough space for all to use facilities. We didn’t have to wait to use anything. The facilitates were great and we each had a lovely massage. Great value for money.

Wonderful restaurant with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside. Friendly service and delicious food . I had the Sunday roast , followed by the Chocolate truffle cake and honeycomb ice cream, a match made in heaven, the cake was light and velvety and I didn't want it to end . I will be back !.

Worst pedicure I've ever had. Therapist exfoliated my toes and top of foot never touched my heels. No foot file was used either. No cuticle treatment. No base coat or top coat for polish. I was told to walk down corridor in bare feet and sit and wait for polish to dry, felt like my feet were dirty. Treatment was for 60 minutes but she only took about 45 minutes. Not the experience I was hoping for, for £30. I should have complained but I was too gobsmacked.

We have enjoyed the tastiest meal tonight at the White House, Rhuallt with James absolutely making our day with his humour, witt and professionalism. Lovely to see a young person with real individualism - he looked after us all night - he’s a star in the making 🌟

We only booked in at the Whitehouse because it's situated next to the Rhualllt Country Park campsite, where we were staying. Pleasant atmosphere and very friendly efficient staff, as do many places. However, the food quality really sets it apart from your run of the mill eatery - We both had risotto (Two different types) and they were quite simply the best we've ever had. A wonderful balance of flavours and consistency that was absolutely delicious. We then both opted for the cheese plate instead of a sweet dessert. These each had four enormous helpings of stilton, cheddar, brie and another that escapes me, but they tasted great and came with a good variety of biscuits, plus apple and chutney. To be honest, one plate between us would have been more than enough, but we just managed to finish both! I can't recommend this place highly enough - You won't be disappointed.

I work away alot and I must say, this was definitely one of the better ones. Parking was easy, staff friendly, room very clean and comfy. I paid for Spa thinking I had my shorts but sadly forgot to repack a couple of days before so didn't get chance to experience the Spa facilities! Nice and quiet location so had a peaceful sleep. All in all....enjoyable stay

Great out of the way restaurant. Loved the huge windows that goes across the building - makes its inviting, bright but also, seeing the nature outside was lovely. The staff were polite and attentive, my server came back to clarify my meal with me which was great! Food service was quite quick which was also great. Starters were amazing and fresh. Mains were also great and the dessert also. Great prices as well. Would definitely come back to this beauty when visiting N.Wales again!

Been to the spa this morning and had a facial on the discovery package. This is honestly the best spa I’ve been too, the facilities were amazing, the staff friendly and helpful and the treatment was so lovely and can honestly say; the nicest I’ve had. Such a lovely experience and will definitely be back. My friend also had the back neck and shoulder massage. She echoed my views and said it was the best spa she’d been to and massage was so lovely. I had a 60min massage courtesy of Sarah yesterday and it was incredible. Released a huge amount of stress and a fantastic night's sleep came later. Sarah was really thorough, working very knotty problems out and made sure I was comfortable and calm throughout. Will be back again! Thanks so much Sarah.
