Often stop here on the way back to the ferry. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Luckily we were upgraded because it was 28° and the air conditioning wasn't working. Breakfast is always very good with plenty of choice. Great value for money

Hotel was in a lovely location, perfect for me and my partner, staff were absolutely lovely! I would say that the rooms need a real overhaul, due to it being hot we had two fans on but there was no sockets near the bed for charging phones. The bathrooms would need a little bit of work as there was mould around the edges of the walls

Room was a little dated but otherwise service provided at the hotel was great. Fantastic location for east access to North Wales. McDonalds and Costa is 30 seconds away. Free parking is always a bonus. For any halal eaters, there are a few restaurants available on Uber eats if you don't fancy veggie options on the restaurant menu.

We arrived and checked in with no fuss. The room was clean and tidy. Had evening meal and breakfast, which was very nice ( cook the bacon a little longer!!). Staff were very friendly and smartly turned out. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will be using this hotel again .

The staff are amazing. Brilliant with the grandchildren. The food was fantastic. The portions were so big we couldn't eat it all. I honestly couldn't recommend the Holiday Inn A55 enough. We will definitely be back. I have stayed at what some call top hotels but this stay definitely beat all of them.

Considering this is a holiday inn at a services, it was a brilliant hotel for a business trip. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty, i would highly recommend the veggie sausage and large Yorkshire pudding. The staff were excellent and the chef was happy to make me a veggie tikka instead of the chicken one on the menu the second night I stayed. Good location for where I needed to be for business, and the center of Chester was easily accessible. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is next to a busy road, but with the window closed it didn't bother me. I will definitely use the hotel again.

Had a two night stay here for access to Chester Zoo, Chester City and Cheshire Oaks Shopping outlet. Around 20 minutes travelling to the various locations. The hotel is great and would certainly stay here again. The room was good and kept modern. The staff were all wonderful. All genuinely welcoming and helpful. Had breakfast each morning and was delicious. Mix of traditional and continental breakfast.

Basic, dated room but immaculately clean and tidy. Ate in the evening before going out to a local gig and had breakfast. Food was very good on both occasions, staff were friendly, coffee machine was on the blink at breakfast but we still had a good breakfast. Good value for money and all staff, housekeeping through to front of house, were clearly doing a great job.

Stayed one night. Room 309 was okay, fairly modern, could do with being a little more clean, there’s sockets next to mirror & table for my partner to do make up hair etc, could do with sockets next to bed (phone charger), Wi-Fi was free and decent enough, we had room service which was quick and food was good, breakfast was good, buffet style like at an all inclusive hotel help yourself with good choice which makes it worth the £12. Overall the hotel delivered on what I expected with a few improvements needed but not the end of the world.

The car park was a safe area to be towed to after a major breakdown on the A55. 5***** for the car park just a short distance away in emergency, as we didn't stay, or dine there, we just felt safe in that car park untill that lovely orange van turned up!!! So thank you the A55 patrol men, the RAC, and Holidays Inn for being there.

Rooms a little tired in decor and furnishings.Wall paper was slightly coming away from the walls.Very clean though in the room.Took us,a while to find the beverage tray.Breakfasts Mark's out of 10.Would give it a 7. Location Quite noisy at night on a very busy A road .Had to have the window open room was warm. So getting to sleep was hard.Staff polite and friendly. Breakfast fit more of a €10 cost not £14.95.

I use this hotel almost every week for business, it fits well in budget, rooms clean and tidy, staff excellent and friendly. Evening meals good, but menu needs to change more frequently, breakfast is great and for hotels not bad value at £13.95. Location is okay for road access but a bit of a pain if you are heading from the West as there is only one access and that's on the Westbound carriageway.

Nice hotel no breakfast included in price quite expensive was told on phone did cheaper version coffee croissant etc but on the Sunday morning advised they don't do that so unsure why I was told this. So we went to the McDonald's instead. Hotel itself nice rooms so comfortable stay overall .got there late after 1.30am after being at a wedding so comfortable bed was much needed

Would have given much higher rating if the price of breakfast was communicated accurately. Was told 7.50 when checking in and then charged 12.50 in the morning by a different staff. No written information on price anywhere at the reception or restaurant. Not sure if this is deliberate or lax management.

Nice hotel. Very clean throughout and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Room pleasant and bed comfortable. Breakfast, which was included in the price, plentiful with lots of choice. Only drawback for us: unable to have bedroom window open due to horrendous road noise 24/7 so room very stuffy at night and no air conditioning. Otherwise, good value for money.

I've stayed here a couple of times for work purpose and have to say it's lovely here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Doesn't matter what time of day. All super friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely and clean and food is very good also. Will be here again in New year for sure

It's situated right next to the A55, but traffic noise is not too bad. You're only going to hear the really big stuff go past. The rooms are spacious, though the oil filled radiator took a little time to warm the room up sufficiently. Breakfast was good. There's a decent selection, but I wasn't a fan of the pepper on the mushrooms. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Nice hotel. I enjoyed my stay, but it's a bit out of town and you have to exit onto the dual carriageway, and take the first exit to come back on yourself if heading into Chester. I did not eat evening meals but had breakfast which was a nice selection. Room was pleasant and I'd stay again.

The food is great and the staff are amazing. They still remember us . They are so helpful and kind, even when they are clearly tired. We've been staying there for 10 years for one night. It's a must.

It's located along the motorway with the beautiful scenery of the surrounding countryside. The room was well maintained to a good standard. The was great, it was fresh and hot. There's no noise and disturbances because of its location.

I wish i could have given 0 star , but unfortunately can't. Checked in on 28th June 2022 for a night stay. Paid nearly double the price of Premiere inn and the hotel was rubbish. Spider webs on the lamps and many places in the room. Hot water not working till 5 minutes and when it came it didn't mix properly, so kids couldn't even do face wash. Toilet was extremely old and the bath tub was very dirty with yellow spots in it. We could not even stay whole night, we checked out by midnight because it was not comfortable at all. No signal WIFI is very weak as well and gets disconnected every 10 minutes. Very bad experience and would never stay in Holiday inn again.

Firstly, must see the photos for better view. Friendly and Welcoming staff. Clean inside out, spacious room. Pleased with kids bed as it was similar to ours its usually a folding sofa bed which uncomfortable provided via others. Enough free parking. 2 minutes walk to Dinner and McDonald's. The only downside is location as there is next to nothing around hotel. If your visiting places near via car then you'll need to take long diversion as there is no straight slip road to the hotel. Must visit Famous lonely tree and sounding areas.
