lengthy
email
communication
back
and
forth
with
Matalan
customer
services
(😩)
I
was
told
I
unfortunately
I
couldnt
have
a
refund
but
I
could
have
a
gift
card
for
the
value
of
the
shoes
(£18)
I
complained
that
this
was
inadequate
after
the
treatment
I
received
in
store,
and
I'm
not
actually
getting
a
refund....just
the
opportunity
for
Matalan
to
keep
my
money,
and
purchase
something
else
that
may
break!
I
was
then
offered
online
voucher
for
20%
off.
I
declined....why
would
I
want
to
spend
more
money
at
Matalan???
So,
that's
where
we
are...
No
refund,
I
dont
particularly
want
a
gift
card
-
I
dont
even
want
to
set
foot
in
there
again-
and
I'm
certainly
not
going
to
spend
even
more
money
online,
discount
or
not!

I
came
to
store
today
to
exchange
a
pair
of
shoes
my
son
has
had
for
a
grand
total
of
17
days.
The
metal
part
of
the
zip
used
to
pull
up
the
actual
zip
had
snapped
off.
I
had
proof
of
purchase,
from
3rd
November.
The
assistant
manager
was
quite
rude
and
refused
an
exchange
(which
was
what
I
wanted
for
a
cheaper
pair
-
originals
in
the
size
required
not
in
stock)
and
was
refused
on
the
grounds
that
the
shoes
were
'too
worn'.my
son
is
11.
He
has
learning
difficulties
and
possesses
a
blue
badge.
Hes
not
exactly
running
marathons
in
these
shoes!
I
would
suggest
if
they
look
too
worn
after
17
days
it
comes
down
to
poor
quality
of
the
shoe.
In
my
opinion,
the
only
worn
looking
part
was
the
fleece
upper,
which,
when
constantly
rubbing
against
socks,
may
arguably
look
bobbly.
Soles
were
fine.
The
zip
was
the
issue
and
no
fault
of
mine.
I
rang
head
office,
who
said
I
should
be
refunded.
Rang
the
store
and
was
told
be
the
supervisor
she
couldn't
overrule
her
assistant
manager's
decision.
I
am
so
disgusted
at
this....I
felt
embarrassed
in
front
of
a
whole
queue
of
customers,
and
like
I
was
the
one
with
a
problem
for
returning
some
shoes
after
17
days.
I
stated
I
felt
that
this
was
unacceptable.
The
assistant
manager
looked
like
she
couldnt
care
less.
Its
certainly
made
me
reassess
shopping
there
again.

son

have
some
reasonable
wear
from
these
shoes.
