Backford Belles Jersey Ice Cream

Cafe Ice cream shop

👍 Nice playground with a few farm animals to see - the ice cream is GREAT though, lots of choice and some really quirky flavours. Great place to spend a few hours with the kids, but I’d say you’d struggle if it’s for any longer than that. People often mention cream, area, kids, flavours, good, animals, play, Lovely,

Fantastic spot to take a break and have a wonderful ice cream. Best ice cream I have had… ever I think! I had the double scoop honeycomb and cinnamon crunch; it was amazing. They don’t scrimp on the ingredients too! Very good prices also. They have some animals to look at for free and a playground for the kids. Lots of seating available. Car park free also. 10/10

Considering I live a 2 minute drive and a 15 minute walk from here I have never been up until now. It is a quaint little farmstead with some amazing flavours of ice-cream at reasonable prices in my eyes. There is a little play area for kids to play on and parking near the shop for disabled patrons. Toilets are accessible with a baby change station as well. Don't get me wrong. You can't spend all day there but with kids old enough you could kill a few hours easily. Will definitely be going back again and getting a large take away tub for sure.

Great place for ice cream and vegan sorbet after you’ve visited Chester Zoo or been to Helsby/Frodsham. Little play area, free toilets, picnic benches. Never took a photo of the ice cream as it got devoured!

Lovely little place. It's a farm with an ice-cream shop which also sells hot and cold drinks. There is seating outside in the courtyard. There is also a separate, good sized seating area with picnic benches, with swings & slide for the kids, which is on grass. Some of this area is shaded. There's even a few animals to see. Overall a great little place to go for a sit down, with an ice-cream or a drink.

This place is so close to where we live but we had never visited. Prices were quite reasonable but we had two different ice creams and thought the flavour of both was a little lacking. The other thing I noticed was the difference in portion sizes. I had cherry & my wife tried the bubble gum, her portion must have been at least 50% bigger than mine. I noticed another customer arrived after us, he also had the cherry and his son the strawberry. Again the strawberry was much larger than the cherry, I would have expected a portion to be a certain size/weight regardless of the flavour.

Lovely little place. Clearly still getting to grips with the flow of the business as service was a bit slow. Lovely little park with a selection of farm animals to visit- kids loved playing there for 1 hour after having some of the tasty ice cream

Lovely place on a warm day for an ice cream, beware of the second field for parking -witnessed a customers car stuck in the second field. There was no signs to advise of boggy field? Nice to witness kind customers offering to help this customer!

Lovely ice cream and play area. They were very kind to replace my daughter's ice cream FOC when the cone broke and it landed on the grass when she had only just started eating it! The girls would like to go there again! 🍦

Fantastic visit, charming shop with mouth watering flavours. I had the rum raisin which was full of luscious raisins and creamy - delicious. The Wild Cherry was really tasty as was the honeycomb which was lush! The sizes were really good and quality of the ice cream was amazing. I couldn’t fault it! Bianca talked through the flavours and I tried a few different ones. I found Bianca to be kind, really lovely and couldn’t do enough to make my visit special - Thank you Bianca, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you, thank you for taking care of me. Your shop will be my go to for Ice cream and really look forward to seeing you soon! X

Fantastic ice cream - luckily we live close enough to bring some home. Biggest problem is choosing which of the awesome flavours to enjoy

I love the ice cream, it's good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. I felt that other aspects of the location (animals / mini park etc) could use slight improvement. A bit more care into the surroundings would make it muchpre desirable and more of a destination. Unfortunately there were no cows around on this visit also, which left the children disappointed.

Fabulous ice cream, lots of flavours to choose from. Good choice of cones too. There is a small play area for children and a small picnic area to eat outside and a small cafe area inside. Highly recommend, reasonable prices too 👍

A somewhat decent little ice cream spot. Some of the flavours were a little tasteless especially the raspberry ripple. You could tell the young staff members really care about the job but seemed a little undertrained, while the manager is stood off to the side just watching.

Fantastic find and not far from chester zoo or Cheshire oaks, worth a visit if you're looking for good icecream and don't want to spend a mortgage on icecream and a day out like some places offering the same think in the area. Lots of flavours to choose from and very well priced and make sure you pop to see the cows to say thanks.

Lovely place. Great selection of ice cream and very delicious too. Great location. We sat in the garden area watching the guinea pigs in their run. Dog friendly too.

Every time I visit family we always come here for ice cream as its so delicious and big portions. A little play area for the kids is great but could do with a bit more, and there's some farm animals to see.
