Thank you Paula for a wonderful stay . The property was thoughtfully finished with every amenity we could need . Paula also provided us with an extra cot and high chair for our twin girls and was so helpful at the booking and planning stage . Paula also dropped off parking passes at the last minute which was so kind to do . Above all we were so grateful when she babysat our twins on the Wednesday night allowing us some precious adult time and to enjoy an evening out in lovely Chester . The accommodation was central to the city centre and all in walking distance. Great location , great host spotlessly clean . Thank you so much for a memorable stay . We will be back .

We visited Chester for my son's 4th birthday to see Chester Zoo. I came across Enjoy the Pause online and communication from the start was excellent with Paula. Our family is 2 adults and 3 children (age 12, 4 and 8 months). As we were celebrating a birthday, I ordered the party package as well as our three night stay, and I am so glad we did. Paula and her team organised banners, balloons, cake (from Cake Chester - absolutely delicious) and a card, aswell as some lovely surprises for the little one - he was delighted!! The disco lights were an added bonus. The house had a lovely feel as soon as we arrived, so fresh and bright and spotlessly clean. It also had everything we could've needed for our baby (cot, high chair, baby bath and monitors) and the toy boxes were great and well used by all of our boys. The kitchen has everything you could need for a break away. It is a definite home from home. The street was very quiet considering it was so close to the town. Location could not have been any better - 2 minute walk to the nearest restaurant and a few minutes to the river and shops/parks. We hired a taxi from the station as we had pram and kids however it could easily be walked in 15mins. Paula was in contact the whole time we were there and nothing was a problem. If visiting Chester I would highly recommend staying at Enjoy the Pause, it made our weekend so much more enjoyable and was well worth the money. Thanks to Paula and her team, by far the best place we have stayed! We will be back.

What a fabulous stay we had at Enjoy the Pause! I can't recommend highly enough. It was absolutely beautiful and the host went over and above what I would have expected. 😁 We are a family of 5 from Belfast with 3 children aged 3, 5 and 7. After a particularly awful 9 hour drive from the New Forest on a Bank Holiday weekend (I hadn't realised traffic would be soo bad!) we all arrived tired and grumpy into this beautifully presented home in the heart of Chester... It was stunning! Kids got super excited about the cute touch of little chocolates on their pillows and instantly cheered up and ran about exploring the totally kid friendly home. From the cute dream decorations in the bedrooms to the fun board games, puzzles and children's books - everything was perfect. We set about making dinner while they were happily entertained playing games... kitchen very well equipped and small garden out the back for them to play in. It was very spacious for us all and beds super comfy, and as clean as a whistle! Next morning we set off early to explore Chester (literally 2 minutes walk into the city centre) and then to Chester zoo which was less than 15 minutes drive away. Couldn't have asked for a better location and the communication from the host was superb. Escape the Pause was really excellent and id recommend for anyone with children (or anyone for that matter), I think you'd be hard pushed to find anything better. If you're going to chester Zoo or travelling on the Liverpool/Birkenhead ferry check this place out. You won't regret it x

A well equipped house well located near the centre of Chester. Very good and helpful information provided before the trip and easy to access (via website) during the stay. A 10 minute walk (max) from the centre of Chester which was an excellent place for a short break. I would definitely recommend this place.

First class five star acommadation. Everything was perfect. The host, Paula was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Paula even took the trouble to go in on the morning of our arrival to turn the heating on. Fantastic location close to all restaurants and town centre yet in a very quiet part of the town. Parking close by and very safe.

Paula was a great host! We booked this house to celebrate my wife's birthday. It is a lovely house with everything you need for a short stay. The location is fantastic and enables you to get to all of Chester's main attraction on foot. I would definitely recommend this house and Paula is a first class host.

Stayed for three nights at Enjoy the Pause and - yes! - enjoyed it very much! 😀 Clean and tidy, well equipped, in a quiet cul-de-sac but right in the middle of Chester, the property had all we needed. Very efficient communications with the owner who also provided a comprehensive guidebook. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the stay with my family here! The apartment is very modern, cozy and kids friendly with some toys and books for children, not to mention some devices like a high chair. It’s very central so everything is 5 min away pretty much including the river, Bridge street, Roman garden and so on. We would definitely like to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at this property, it is dotted right in the heart of the city centre and we loved everything about the property. It's beautifully decorated and we loved how light and airy the house was. As a gadget freak there was some amazing modern technology inside the house that made its a real treat for me. I would stay here over and over again. Saying this I will be taking some ideas home with me😍 Thank you and see you again soon

A real hidden gem! Enjoy the Pause is in a fantastic location for the city centre, restaurants, bars and attractions! Everything is literally on your doorstep. Beautifully decorated and surprisingly peaceful so close to the city. The owners have worked hard to provide a real home from home with a fantastic welcome basket of goodies, fresh flowers and everything you could need for a trip away. Whether travelling with little ones or a weekend city escape, this place comes highly recommended! Comfortable, modern and with all the facilities a hotel room can't offer! The owners are super helpful and even parking is simple and low cost! We had a lovely stay.

I would highly recommend as place to stay for a family trip to Chester. Incredibly clean, child friendly and the location is fantastic - midway between the river Dee and the main shopping street.
