Biggest disappointment of a restaurant in colombo. Had an issue with portions first time I ordered, and this was the 2nd time I ordered through uber eats. Ordered a pork set menu shown in the pics. And it only contained 4 small pork pieces. Just not worth the time or money. Please be aware. Worst portions

Great place with calm ambience. We accidently saw the place and stepped in. We orderd mixed grill meat and sea food along with mixed vegitable stirfry. Mixed grill included a crab, prawns, cuttlefish, pork, chicken,mutton, some sausages,bullseye, some pineapple, potato,onions and carrots. It was sizzling and mouthwatering indeed. The mixed vegies included potatoes, carrots, beans, baby corn, cabbage and mushroom. It was also so delicious. Both were very generous portions and was enough to share. For drinks we ordered lime which was to the point. Not so sour. Not sweet. For dessert we ordered chocolate ice cream. Didn't take much time to serve either. The total bill was only around 2800. The staff was very frindly. Had a chat with the manager and got to know that they have space to accomodate around 100 people. If you are going to organize a party or dinnerout or a lunchout you don't need to stick to the A la carte menu. You can discuss and customize the menu. Overall a very good experience and hope they'll keep the service, the quality and the quantity of the dishes the same. Highly recommend.

Kande Gedara Restaurant is situated at Hill street, Mount Lavinia. This is one of my favorite restaurant. The food was amazing, very delicious. The staff were very friendly and they offer great service. The restaurant has a decent seating area. They have delivery services to certain areas. This restaurant has a cool interior, they have converted a house into a restaurant. It’s very unique. And they have BYOB facilities as well. They have several VIP areas. Kande Gedara Restaurant has large menu with lots of verities of food, And The price is very reasonable. They have started a new event monthly…. It’s an UNLIMITED KOTTU BUFFET. I visited to this event too. It was amazing. 😍 I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone.✨

We have been loyal customers of කන්දේ Gedara. Sadly, this morning, the hospitality standards had changed radically. We always use the popular front room which is air-conditioned and private. Regardless of pax, our bills have always been very high cos we liked the place. Today, we were turned away quite rudely. With a silly statement like "we only give that room to 10 pax or more". Mind you, this is a Tuesday afternoon, and the place had zero clients. This is the kind of unreasoning and having staff who are unable to take a decision, that leads to many restaurants going down. Talk about hospitality and keeping clients happy. කන්දේ gedara has lost it all.

A great example of how an experience can be ruined by bad service, regardless of how good the food tastes. Recommending for takeaway since the waiters are not at all trained to treat customers properly.

Now this place also became like ordinary koththu kade.... No single piece of meat in pork dishers only fat

Here are good chefs who cook deliciously, which is a rarity in Sri Lanka. Very nice interior and great service! Came here with my family after a day at the zoo. left incredibly satisfied and satisfied. The prices are not expensive, and all the food was very tasty, despite the fact that the menu is huge. In addition, they cooked quickly and packed quickly, so we even managed to catch the train!

I arranged a surprise bday party there, it was fantastic. Food is affordable and worth for the price. Staff is really good, specially Hashan, very friendly. Peaceful environment. 100% privacy. Hope to visit again soon.

We always order from Kande Gedara because the food is always at the best standards - delicious, full of flavour and hygienic. More than anything the service is always the best. It’s hard to find places that values customer loyalty… yesterday they sent us chicken yellow rice instead of prawns by mistake, and when we informed them they made sure they corrected the order by sending us a portion of prawns separately. We really appreciate the top class service and will always be loyal customers. Keep up the good work!

Great customer service and tasty food for reasonable price..

Not much tasty food and those are not much for what you paid. There were only pork fat pieces in fried rice(one example) Unfair prices.

One of the most tasteless dishes I have ever tried. Not worth the money we pay. Ordered a milkshake and the funny part about it was that it was made entirely of Elephant House vanilla ice cream. Then ordered the hot butter cuttlefish and wondered where the cuttlefish was. I felt they only fried the batter and served it at the table. The piece of roast chicken in the kottu was so cold because I believe it was straight from the fridge. Not recommended at all

Good placed for hangout or lease kind of small celebration (Birthdays….). Prices also for four members around eight thousand rupees. Only one thing foods are bit spicy so if you are not like much spicy please let them know to do not add spices. Overall out of 10 I can give 8.5 really good place. Only one concern for parking have very small place so like can park inside 3 vehicles and also those vehicles based on the ground clearance it will depend!

Worst service i ever had...i orderd two set menu thru pic me and its took to say ready from this restaurant more than 30mins and the delivery person reach to pic the same they said still preparing... then i called the restaurant and ask the person who answer the call said sorry still we are preparing and its automatically system show as READY... see how they are lieing to the customer.... very disappointed and i urge all who visit this place plz stop... bcoz they dont bother or give customer service.... WORST RESTAURANT IN DEHIWALA AREA

One of the best Restaurant you can find in Dehiwala and Mt.lavinia vicinity. We try KandeGedara Hot butter dishes specially cuttlefish, OMG that was so tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant who concern about quality and taste. Specially like to thanks Mr. Anjana who give us a restaurant tour and Mr. Suresh giving a great service. We will visit again once we back to Sri Lanka.

Had set menu in there. Set menu is good. But the soft drinks are extremely expensive. For small soft drink(coke or sprite), They charge over Rs.300. And for a water bottle Rs.250.

Worst service ever. Spent 2520/- and got 3 no’s roast chicken string hopper kottu at the rate if 790/- per kottu plus delivery. and ended up getting tempered string hoppers. Only a few pieces of chicken bones. Very disappointing. Don’t even have a responsible person to listen and attend to a complaint. Total rip off. Don’t do this kind of low, cheap work where food is concerned. Don’t recommend your restaurant to the worst enemy even.

The ambience and atmosphere of the setting was above par for a restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, although is questionable when it comes to being flexible as a request for the order to be converted from takeaway to dine-in was rejected. The food portions does not live upto the expectations for the given price, however the taste was quite intriguing. Overall a good restaurant with medium portion sizes and good taste

Friendly staff. Food was delicious 👍 Highly recommended. Large potion is enough for three people.
