Wanted
to
have
some
decent
food
for
the
first
time
in
2021
while
visiting
relatives
as
constituted
by
tradition.
Was
searching
for
a
restaurant
on
Hill
street
Dehiwela
and
came
across
Malay
Restaurant
which
my
parents
approved
to
have
good
food.
Went
inside
and
the
usual
routine
followed
where
a
waiter
gave
us
3
menu
cards.
After
few
minutes
he
came
to
our
table
again
and
asked
whether
we
are
ready
to
order.
My
dad
then
asked
what's
the
best
you
could
suggest
us,
as
we
came
after
a
long
time.
He
then
suggested
and
approved
of
the
Dum
biriyani
then
we
too
agreed
and
told
he
to
proceed
with
the
order
requesting
for
warm
water
and
a
bottle
of
mineral
water.
After
10
minutes
the
waiter
came
back
to
our
table
and
said
Dum
Biriyani
is
not
available.
We
were
a
bit
confused
as
we
didnt
see
anyone
coming
to
the
restaurant
after
us
nor
there
was
any
rush
in
present
in
the
restaurant.
Then
we
were
like,
what
else
is
there
then?
as
we
were
anyway
behind
our
schedule.
Then
he
suggested
the
nasi
goreng.
We
agreed
on
that
too
as
we
just
wanted
to
have
our
lunch
and
be
done
with
it.
However
30
to
45
minutes
passed
and
there
was
no
sign
of
the
waiter
who
took
our
order.
In
the
mean
time
another
family
came
and
placed
their
order.
And
their
order
comprised
of
many
dishes
were
brought
to
their
table.
We
were
wondering
why
a
simple
nasi
goreng
was
taking
over
45
minutes
to
be
prepared.
However
after
about,
another
5
minutes
we
were
anxious
as
we
just
wanted
to
eat
something
and
go.
We
called
another
waiter
and
asked
where
our
waiter
is
and
to
call
him
as
we
wanted
to
tell
him
that
we
have
decided
to
leave.
Then
he
too
vanished
for
sometime
and
started
servicing
his
tables.
Then
another
waiter
appeared
from
the
kitchen
area,
we
called
him
and
asked
for
the
waiter
who
took
our
order.
He
too
disappeared
for
sometime
and
then
came
back
started
serving
his
tables.
After
this
we
decided
to
leave.
The
above
happened
in
between
2:00PM
and
3:00
pm
on
02.01.2021
(I
am
not
quite
sure
of
the
exact
time
to
confirm
this
they
can
conveniently
check
their
CCTV
footage
and
time
stamps).
At
5:07
PM
on
02.01.2021
(same
day
of
the
incident)
I
got
the
following
message
as
my
order.

understand
what's
their
deal??
Our
they
trying
justify
their
deficits
on
the
cash
register
by
pinning
it
on
customer
who
didnt
receive
their
orders
or
our
they
serving
their
friends
and
family
and
charging
customers
who
didnt
get
their
orders?
If
so
please!!
at
least
try
to
get
the
correct
order
and
charge
for
that.
Horrible
third
class
act,
special
at
a
time
like
this!!
Where
we
are
in
a
midst
of
a
pandemic.
I
wouldn't
mind
if
someone
who
was
deprived
of
securing
a
meal
to
survive,
got
food
and
that
was
pinned
on
us.
This
mispractice
will
only
justify
below
the
radar
corrupt
acts
which
cannot
be
justified.
Just
disgusting!!
