Came here with my husband for our anniversary and it was the best experience. Ruby was our waitress and she was very friendly and attentive. Food and wine is worth the price. Enjoyed dinner with a view of the sunset and waves of the ocean. We got a complimentary dessert which was so nice. Definitley come here and try this place out. You will love it

Best lunch spot with a view in upper San Diego. The ocean waves crash as you dine in or outside, either way it’s gorgeous. The food was excellent and the only reason for 4 stars is the waiter took 25 minutes to take our food order. That being said they were pretty busy, so could have just been understaffed for the day. I’ve been here one other time and it was a 5 star experience. The fish tacos, chicken tacos, and sea bass are all incredible.

Really fancy nice quiet spot with a view in front of the beach! Enjoyed the salmon and the pomegranate mojito! Also the dessert wasn’t too bad. Must order ahead of time because according to the waiter it does take around 30 minutes to prepare.

Nice restaurant! Beautiful beach view. I highly recommend the lobster tails and oysters, very tasty. Make a reservation before you come, that might be better. Their business is good.

Great salads!!! Also a beautiful ocean view! Valet only or you can park on the side of the street if you can find a spot. I got the Baby Beets and Pear salad and my Mom got the Pacific Seafood Cob salad for lunch. We both enjoyed it a lot and will be back!

Extraordinary flavors in an extraordinary location on the beach. Everything was delicious. The quality of ingredients is evident in taste, texture, and presentation. Excellent service in all aspects of our time on property.

Pacific Coast Grill in Encinitas, CA, exceeded all expectations and delivered an unforgettable dining experience that deserves nothing less than five stars. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful lunch. The culinary journey began with the mixed organic greens salad, a symphony of fresh flavors and textures. The combination of crisp almonds, creamy bleu cheese, and the delightful cranberry vinaigrette dressing created a perfect harmony on the palate. Each bite was a celebration of quality ingredients and expert craftsmanship. The crispy cornmeal calamari was a showstopper, delivering a satisfying crunch and succulent tenderness. Accompanied by the chipotle dipping sauce, it elevated the dish to new heights, leaving us craving more. The chef's attention to detail was evident, making this appetizer a true standout. The pièce de résistance was the incredible apple pie with ice cream. The dessert was a masterpiece of sweetness and warmth, capturing the essence of a homemade treat. The combination of the flaky crust, tender apples, and the cool creaminess of the ice cream was nothing short of divine. It was the perfect ending to an already exceptional meal. What truly set Pacific Coast Grill apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The attentive and friendly team made us feel like honored guests throughout the evening. Their knowledge of the menu, coupled with their genuine enthusiasm, added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. We chose to sit outside on the patio, and we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The soothing sound of the waves, coupled with the crisp sea breeze, created an ambiance that enhanced the overall dining experience. It's a rare gem to find a restaurant that not only serves outstanding food but also provides a picturesque setting for guests to savor every moment. In conclusion, Pacific Coast Grill is a culinary haven that seamlessly combines delectable dishes, unparalleled service, and a stunning location. Whether you're a local looking for a go-to spot or a visitor seeking a memorable dining experience, Pacific Coast Grill in Encinitas is a must-try destination. It's not just a meal; it's a celebration of flavors, ambiance, and the beauty of the Pacific Coast.

I can usually sit here for hours. Several times I have started at brunch & stayed through lunch right into dinner having meals, apps, drinks & desert all the way through the day while the staff accommodates positioning me from area to area as the next meal starts. Drinks & food are always excellent. My lunch server this last visit was Charles, he is excellent & gets 5 stars, unfortunately the dinner server, won't name him, was incredibly Not & gets 0 stars, so he brought down the curve 50%. It's hard to give any restaurant all 3 areas of Food, Service & Atmosphere 5 stars, but, PCG usually gets it from me. Next time, I know they can do it!

Huge fan of this place. As a local, this is one of my top choices in north county. Stunning views, consistently delicious food, and great service. Everything here is good, but I especially enjoy their margaritas, truffle French fries, the miso glazed Sea bass and oysters Good place to have a nice date night, or bring the whole family for a great dinner. Also love to bring people from out of town here because of the gorgeous views and consistent service and food! This place sometimes fills up, but there is usually room in the bar. You can also rent the private room upstairs for an event

It came very highly recommended and exceeded our expectations. Excellent, excellent service, pleasing upscale beach decor, and a jaw dropping on the beach sunset - see my photos taken from our table. All six of us claimed to have the best entree. And that included the veggie selections. We finished with coconut cheese cake and creme brulee. Even the valet team was exceptional. A perfect family birthday celebration.

The food is really amazing there, I highly recommend you try their seafood dishes such as the Seafood pasta shown in the pictures. The valet system works well and both the valets and the servers were extremely kind and caring. The view on the beach is stunning and heaters are present if you are scared of being cold. The only ick from the experience is the 4% surcharge, which was apparently used during COVID but never removed, so a little scummy even if it was written at the bottom of the menu. Overall, an amazing experience that you should definitely try for an event, not as a regular occurrence.

Gorgeous view. Good patio with heaters. They have an entire GF and vegetarian menu you just have to ask for it. They have a few vegan options too. Let them know what you need, they are very happy to accommodate. They do have a great drink menu with tibs of margaritas to choose from.

Beautiful view from this restaurant. I had the Seabass tacos which could’ve used a nice sauce. They were a little dry. I did not like the Mexican rice that came with it. It was a little dry and over seasoned. My husband had the lobster bisque which he enjoyed. We did like the beet salad very much which we split among us. We also had the shrimp dumplings. All in all it wasn’t a bad meal but I will say the service was excellent.

Came here with some friends for lunch. The food was incredible, everything was. The calamari may be the best I've had in all of San Diego, it's not rubbery like majority of other places, it's tender and crispy. The crab/lobster club sandwich I had was fantastic, portions are BIG here. Our server Dan was extremely helpful and kind helping direct what we should get. The cocktails are also really good. I came up from La Jolla to have lunch here and I think I'll end up being a regular here, that's how good it is.

Went here for dinner to celebrate New Year’s Eve and when I say we had a ball, we had a ball. Typically when meals are pre-fixed for special events it’s so so, but when I tell you everything was exceptional it was. The man had the Beachside Linguini and I had the Filet w/Crab Dynamite and everything was delicious. We will be returning. (I wish I remembered our servers name Glen/Phil? because he was great as well) if you haven’t been you will not be disappointed. 🥰

One of the best restaurants with amazing views in San Diego. They have got great selection of appetizers and I specially like their sushi rolls. You cannot go wrong with pretty much anything there. Miso glaze Sea Bass is my favorite.

Good view and have only been for lunch. Should try a dinner some time when they open up the upstairs. I highly recommend the lobster and shrimp chowder which is fantastic. The sunshine roll is the most unique sushi roll on the menu and always delightful. We decided to try the bag o bonz hawaiian style baby back ribs which were tender and saucy but too salty. They give hot wet towels to clean up with which is nice. $7 valet if you don’t feel like trying to find a spot along the road to park. Large wine list but full bar for you adult beverage needs.

One of my favorite places to eat! I love the sesame crusted ahi tuna. And the sea scallops. And sharing the pear and beat salad. The view cannot be beat! Excellent servers. I don’t like that you have to pay for parking and bread (the bread is worth paying for) or that they have a 4% surcharge (why not just raise your prices and be straightforward?). My love of the food and the view always win me over.

The servers were very attentive and extremely sweet, the food was very good and the view was incredible! Drinks and food came out quick. I am very gluten intolerant and ordered from the gluten free menu, I had no issues and did not react to any of the food. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out, and anyone with gluten intolerance. It was so refreshing to have such accommodating and caring servers!

Did a yummy dance for every dish. Highly recommend fresh oysters, calamari, and coconut cheesecake. Honestly, you can't go wrong with their well described entrées.

Love everything about this restaurant. Sitting outside on the patio at sunset is absolutely magical. Food is great, just pricey. But with the atmosphere, worth it I think. Update for last visit.: I have to change my review to reflect our last visit. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time. We were kept waiting 30 minutes for a patio table before we let the hostess know there were two empty tables the entire 30 minutes we'd been waiting. She told us they were being held for "another" party. From there we waited another 20 minutes before letting them know now those 2 were still open plus another. So 3 for the last 20 minutes. Exasperated, she again said they were all for someone else. I guess she got tired of us because we were finally allowed to sit almost an hour past our reservation in one of the originally empty tables. This was bad enough but after praising this restaurant as the best around to our out of town guests, it was hard to swallow. To add insult to injury, two of our meals were sub-par and it still cost us as if we'd paid for the top notched restaurant I'd built it up to be.

A beautiful venue, service was great we had a large group and needed an extra chair for 1. Not a problem for our server. The food was fresh and delicious, generous portions.

Fun classy joint for a STRONG drink. Got a mango mezcal margarita and a black berry margarita. These bad boys had amazing flavors and packed a legit punch to the dome. After getting faded, we tried the Lobster Dumplings. They came in a red wine reduction that was complimentary to the lobster flavor, and they were enough for two people. I had the FRIED Chicken Sandwich. This bad boy had bacon and guacamole packed in. The chicken was tasty and not breaded too much. My brother ordered the Beef sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed because of the dipping sauce. Fries are also very tasty with a side of ranch. Great ocean views and nice patio seating available.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants on the coast. You can't get much better as far as the view and location. Service was impeccable and the food was to die for. There isn't a bad seat in the house and they do offer outside dining if you want the full salt air experience. Not only do they offer great options for the main course, they have a wide variety of appetizers to go with some great craft cocktails. Highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation, especially on the evenings and weekends as they are really busy. Enjoy!!

We had a wonderful experience last night celebrating my boyfriend's birthday! Jenna was attentive and so sweet. We scored an upstairs table next to the window and it was perfect. We shared the shrimp dumplings, which were phenomenal. I got the Mahi Mahi, and my boyfriend got the Paella. Both were so good! I think we've found our new favorite restaurant. Thank you Pacific Coast Grill for a great dinner experience!

Can't say enough positive things about this establishment. Beautiful atmosphere with waves crashing right outside the window and fabulous beach side patio space. Fresh fish, sushi, extensive cocktail menus as well as separate vegetarian and gluten free menus. The vegetarian rolls were creative and delicious. Portions will leave you with leftovers. Service was on point. Can't wait to visit again!
