This is by far one of my favorite location. The drive thru lane is pretty tight when pulling around, but they are the fastest when ordering at the window. Most other locations I have to order ahead because they can be a bit slow, but here I have never had a problem when visiting weekly. UPDATE 6/2022: I found a GIANT piece of hair in my drink. I have a phobia of hair, and this was the most disturbing thing I've ever experienced. I know it's unavoidable, but I stopped ordering drinks (especially) from Starbucks and every other food establishment. The staff were very kind and understanding and refunded my entire order which was surprising, but I’ll never order a drink again. Sad because we ordered here weekly for months.

Worst designed drive through ever. You’ll order in advance. And then you’ll be here for 60 minutes while your drinks and sandwiches go cold. Edit: great service and very friendly staff however.

Worst service ever! So slow and cash register girl couldn't add or subtract when given exact change, so I got wrong, short-changed. She even had to get a calculator to realize that she was incorrect and ignorant! But, I got the right change but gave me cold coffee to get back at me! So very childish, but it's Starbucks. This Starbucks sux.

Monday, Jan 9, 2023 - 18:00 I stood there at the counter for about 7 minutes with two associates behind the counter looking at me several times. They didn't greet me. Didn't say "We'll be right with you." Nothing. I felt like I was invisible... Very rude. I used to visit Starbucks literally EVERYDAY multiple times throughout the day and the old standards that I enjoy are still there. However, it isn't clear by the menu at this location. Someone did finally come out from the back of the store to take my order and it took us a few minutes to figure out what happened to the passion fruit iced tea I used to order 100s of times / year. (Side note, over the last 15 years, I roughly estimate that I have spent ~$20k on beverages... which is why we almost never go here anymore.) At the self-service kiosk, you are not able to serve yourself anymore. You have to ask for sweetener, etc. Is there that much of a problem in Hockessin with sweetener thieves?? Just put it out there and let people get their own, folks. The music was too loud, but that's always been an issue with Starbucks. Lastly, now, as of the first of the year, they are closing at 19:00... which they informed us of by saying "Just to let you know, we are closing in 2 mins." When the guy walked up to tell us that, I had a little hope that he was going to ask us how our drinks were and if we were enjoying the experience. But no. It was to kick us out of the store...

I got my favorite Carmel crunch frap and it was disgusting. Not sure what they put in it and what they used I'm so sad I been craving it

Really good service here everytime I go, nothing to complain about. Also the staff at drive thru is very friendly, understandable and very fast.

I discovered decaf lattes with sugar-free syrup. Decaf often tastes bad as it's been sitting because nobody wants it. With the decaf shot, it's always fresh. Good, friendly service!

First time at the Hockessin location. My order was ready when I got there! I had to wait and ask for whipped cream on my drink tho, because the machine that prints out the order from the app doesn't list whipped cream on the label, even though you select it. That's not the store's fault though.

Got a grande Pike Place roast hot coffee. As I drove away, I picked up the coffee to take a sip and the lid popped off with the slightest amount of pressure, spilling scorching hot coffee all over myself and my car. Coffee was filled up to the brim, so I had to take sips to lower the level since the lid wouldnt stay on. Burnt the roof of my mouth as a result. Thought this was just an anomaly lid problem, but apparently this is a problem with Starbucks lids everywhere. I wont be buying another Starbucks coffee until they get this problem sorted out.

It was great, the only issue I have is that they keep their temperatures freezing! 🥶

Been going to this Starbucks for long time. Usually drive through hostess are professional. Today I had the worst, poor attitude because I ask for black coffee cream and raw sugar on the side. After waiting 7 minutes she gave me no sugar and no cream. When I asked felt like I ask her to climb mountain with poor attitude she gave me 2 regular sugar and no cream. I do understand the help situation in the service industry, but a little management training will go long way.
