Visited this iconic restaurant after decades... with pre decision to try their signature dish Chola Bhature.... found them simply superb... perfect bhaturas with cholas as they ought to be. Chola helping is quite small and is just sufficient for one bhatura. Great experience with classic ambience, courteous service... Old world charm

The food, ambiance, and service are absolutely fantastic here. Reservations are recomended. The restaurant can get very busy. We had to wait about 15 min to get seated on a weekday late afternoon. Being one of the oldest running restaurants in New Delhi, it's popular amongst the tourists. The prices are high, but the quality justifies it. We ordered a Palak Patta chat, tandoori Malai broccoli, mutton seekh kebab, lacha parantha, Channa and two bhaturas. Everything was spot on and full of flavour. Be warned, each bhatura is bigger than the size of your head. We ordered two for 3 people and found it hard to finish. For drinks, we ordered the Mysore whiskey cocktail and a virgin Mary. Both were well made. Small gripe ... After paying the bill, I had pulled out a couple hundred rupees for tips. The server cleaning the table immediately grabbed them as soon as I placed the bills on the table. Rubbed us the wrong way. But I confirmed with two servers that tips are shared amongst all the staff so perhaps it's ok.

The food is spectacular and exactly what you would expect. It is literally a Heritage property with a lot of history! I think it done if the best food i have had in Delhi ! Ordered the Butter chicken and Black/Kaali dal with Laccha Paratha! Absolutely delicious! Ended the meal with Gulab Jamun which was hot, soft and delectable. Wonderful experience.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Kwality Restaurant is a royal one which gives you a majestic feel. I loved the very quaint and elegant setting it has. The decor and interiors are enchanting and gripping. It was pleasant looking at the walls and the wooden furniture and interiors while waiting for the food. The walls are adorned with pre independence photos which are good to look at. I loved the small and compact Bar. About the food - I just cannot say enough about the quality of the food served. Everything that we ordered had decent taste and top notch quality. I loved the Dahi Kebabs (which I have never liked anywhere before). The Cheese Balls were a bit mild in taste yet i liked them mainly because of the quality. I liked the taste of all the Sabzis and especially loved Jeera Rice and the soft Butter Naans. We had also ordered Kadhai Paneer, Seasonal Veg and Kwality Special Kali Dal, all of which were upto the mark. The menu also offered nice variety of Desserts including Kwality Special Pie, Ice Creams, Apple Crumble, Walnut / Date Tart, Gulab Jamun and so on. Although i could not taste everything but I would love to try. The crowd this restaurant attracts is of high standards. Charmingly Beautiful and attractive. Just loved everything about it. Must Go atleast once. Nice experience.

When you are in cannaught place Delhi, you don't have to search for a restaurant. Kwality is one of the best option to enjoy food with family. Food quality is awesome, wide range of options for both vegetarian and non vegetarian person. Staff are well trained, service may be little quick, overall once must visit restaurant. While visiting their try to park your vehicle in LIC building/janpath parking.

Food 3.5 / 5. Their signature Black Dal was outstanding . The Paneer dish and the Dim Aloo were too rich that so much so that the curry overpowered the taste of the Paneer and Dum Aloo. The Chilli or Mirchi Roti was a nice innovation - light and tasty What really spoiled our family catch up and we as a family were meeting after many years was the noisy, loud, boisterous behaviour of the group setting next to us. The managers did not do anything to intervene and when while leaving the restaurant, I pointed this out , I was told that this is NORMAL . Anyways it may be normal for this restaurant’s management BUT with so many good restaurants around in this area, I for sure am not coming back to mess up my family catch up time The only saving grace in this experience was the excellent attentive service given by Arvind.

Been there for dinner.. the only thing i loved the most was the ambience and instrumental piano being played in the background. Not very spacious restaurant but gets the job done & can be understood by the lack of space as it is situated in the posh area of Delhi. What i ordered and what i felt- Golden fried prawns- Prawns dish was very bland and size of the prawns were very small and not juicy at all. I didn’t feel like I am having prawns… 2/5 Kwality Chicken tikka- despite being an indian dish these tikkas lack spices and quite over priced… Not Recommended 1/5 Fish Fry- it was not juicy and very dry and the fillet which is supposed to be a bit thick, is very thin and the fish was not at all fresh! Not Recommended 1/5 Taar Mutton- the blend of spices was very good.. i feel the masala didn’t reach the bone marrow… Quite over priced as they were charging 850₹ for just 2 pieces and gravy. 2/5 Chicken Curry- it was good not that good as i was expecting. 3/5 Daal- the tomato in the daal was not properly cooked as it was overpowering the dal’s taste as its size was unusually big 2.5/5 Also the Tandoori roti was not good at all. You can find better tandoori roti at roadside Dhaba’s. Also the Staff was not at all attentive as they might be tired or something. They lack or might have been being intentionally careless of basic table etiquette. Also i felt they have ignorance regarding the ingredients of dishes and they are not able to advise any best selling dish!

This place is still pretty good, a place one would like to go back to. I have been going to this place for several decades, though it has changed its place, type and ambience. But it has survived, without compromising on quality and service. That's something already. The food is good, the spices are well-proportioned, but their trademark signature is mostly North Indian food. Their ambience is a little cramped now, though still good and comfortable with the classic old world charm. Their service is excellent, and that is due to careful training and recruitment -- not the usual 20-something, good for nothing fellas. One thing that sticks though. After yesterday's long-stretched afternoon meal, when we left a tip on top of the 10% service charge, in appreciation of the service of a youngish fellow who was not exactly waiting but attending our table for the last hour, one senior waiter, who had nothing to do with our service at all till then, came flying like a hawk to our table and took away the tips. Unless this is a policy and the fat hawk is in charge of the tips, this left a bad taste, as a truly deserving to-be waiter was denied his just reward. Managers should pay attention to this.

In business since 1940, Kwality restaurant has excellent service. Food is very delicious and ambience is very classy. The prices are bit high, but the experience is worth it. The pictures are of Chole Bhature(sold separately) and paneer lababdaar and garlic naan. Hard drinks also sold.

I really liked the vibe of the place. Feels like you are back in old times. Ambience, music, lighting’s was great. Now main thing is food at the end we are going there to try their food. Found black colour round small plastic in my daal makhani. That exactly looks like black daal in circle shape but it was plastic clearly shows while preparing daal they didn’t bothered to check their daal. Big disappointment as it’s risky to have plastic in your food. What if I could have directly swallow it as was having a daal. Scary thing happened I didn’t liked it, when I informed they changed our daal other than no apologies, not said a word about it. Even they replaced our daal didn’t had courage to have that again. Also when I came back to home after my dinner my stomach got upset and I had quite log time stomach pain. I don’t think I will visit again. Big big disappointment from such a old brand. Not sure they are really care for their customers as I could have seen lot of waiting was going on for tables. Crazy crowd but this kind of service plastic in your food how they justify their customers. Sorry but people should avoid going there.

“Established in 1940 ,excellent North Indian food at Connaught Place .” This is one of the oldest restaurants at Connaught Place . We walked in randomly around 2 :40 pm ,got a table by 3 pm. We ordered : Starters :Dahi Kebab- @Rs 475/- Excellent .Good Portion size. Crisp from outside ,soft from inside . Drinks Iced Tea -Lemon- @Rs 225/- Very Good . Dilli Mary -@Rs 445/- Excellent Punch- @Rs 525/- Very Good. Mains Chole @Rs 445/- & Bhature @Rs 115/- - Excellent (one has to order both separately). The Bhatura was massive in size ,one bhatura is enough for 1 person . Rara Balti Boneless Chicken- @Rs 725/- Very Good though not authentic Rara style. Missi Roti ,Pudina Parantha@Rs 145/-each. Excellent and big size . Service charge,VAT,GST additional . Our attendant Saurabh was very polite and suggested the right dishes ,he even put the second bhatura order on hold as he realised we will not be able to eat another one . Else that would have gone waste, which was much appreciated . Apart from Indian cuisine they have continental and fast food too. Prior reservation is recommended especially during weekends and public holidays .

Exquisite food and atmosphere, with great service and fair prices. Located in Connaught Place, Kwality restaurant is a classy place to dine, share a tea, or a drink with friends, with the piano music easing you into conversation. They have a few specialties, their Chana was delicious. One of the best meals I had during my visit to Delhi. Highly recommended.

Old is gold. When we had to decide for my sister's birthday dinner we could not think of anything better than Kwality. With pictures adoring the pre independence era amidst a royal setting, the restaurant is simply majestic. Covid precautions are taken care of with a sanitizer on entry as well as table, servers wearing mask, digital menu, paper menu in addition to crockery and cutlery sanitized and wrapped. We tried an array of dishes. A look at the menu and the first dish to order was Palak Patta ki Chaat which was simply delectable. Crisp Palak Papdis topped with dips, masalas, sev and pomegranate was amazing. Tomato soup was served with bread and was warm, nice and yum. In appetizers it was Dahi ke Kabab, Cheese Balls and Hara Bhara Kebab. Dahi ke Kebab were soft but a little sweet in taste. Cheese Balls were crisp on the outside, soft inside and super yummy! Hara Bhara Kabab did impress my tastebuds. In Indian BBQ we tried Paneer Boti Tikka. Loved the shape, taste and texture! Everything was amazing. In mains we tried the speciality Jodhpuri Paneer as well as Palak Paneer. Jodhpuri Paneer was a unique dish and was on the spicy side but I loved it. I was amazed to see Sukhi Dal on the menu and I had that while my brother wanted to have Kwality Kali Dal so we had both. Both of them were classy and yummy. Jeera Rice and an assortment of breads completed our meal. I have a special acknowledgement for the softest naans which I tried. Significant people who have dined in at Kwality include Indira Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the restaurant has a heritage and legacy that it lives upto everyday.

Wonderful historic atmosphere in this restaurant that dates back to 1940. However it does rest on its past glories, from its excellent (and strong) cocktails to its superb range of appetisers and mains the cuisine was first class. We selected always dishes marked with stars to show house specialties. The chickpea main dish was for us the knock out dish - never have whole chickpeas cooked for a very longtime tasted so good with such a lovely texture - see photos. By local standards this restaurant is not cheap, but is worth every penny.

Lovely atmosphere, food and beer all good. In particular nice touches included the piano player and being greeted outside the restaurant door, really fancy. I would return if visiting delhi again.

The atmosphere was amazing enough to make every other experience enjoyable. I ordered a mutton masala, laccha paratha, and a fruity tutti . The mutton masala was good, and laccha paratha was very poorly made. There were burnt parts. If I were a picky eater, I would have thrown it away. Fruity tutti was delicious, though. But I feel like they gave a little less effort than they normally do to decorate their icecream.

I recently visited this place. I would recommend it. This restaurant has cool vintage vibes. You will feel you are in colonial times. Very comfortable seating... Chhole bhature were really good. Specially the bhatura(pls see pic), was round, light and huge. Chhole was a bit dry bt okay types in taste. My brother had roasted chicken and seekh kabab, really juicy and tasty is the feedback i got from him 😃 We also tried Dahi ke kebab, they were yummy too.

We were running errands around Connaught place from morning and were looking for a place to eat, that's when we zeroed in at this restaurant. It was late lunch around 3pm and we got seated immediately. Since it has been around for almost several decades, we were in high hopes of having a great food. First disappointment came in when the waiter did not know the specialities of the restaurant, we decided on kadhai paneer, dal makhani and chilli parantha and tandoori rotis. Nothing was up to the mark in taste, just like any other ordinary restaurant. We were not really happy with the experience for the price we paid. Kwality was not really of quality.

Very classy, elegant & artistically preserved place. Each dish was prepared very well and attention was given to our requests. Without alcohol, it didn't come out as expensive as area & legacy demands. Our chicken & mutton dishes were well tender with right amount of spices. Must visit.

This restaurant has been operational since 1940. I am sure it has been renovated but the testimony of this is evident as one walks inside and see numerous pictures on the wall of gone by era. I walked in on a special day -15th August. It was not full to capacity and thus the first floor was not opened which was my plan. Actually it provides a fantastic vantage point. The service was pretty slow which helped out cause as it allowed us ample time to strike conversation among ourselves. We order Mutton sheekh kebab that was excellent and definitely to my liking. We followed it with Kasturi kebab that I believe could have been better. They do serve liquor but it was a dry day so quenched my thirst with a red bull. In the main course we shared a Mutton Dum Biriyani. I am a great fan of Hyderabadi Biriyani and in-spite of that relished the Biriyani. The toilet was neat and clean and for folks who loves to post picture there is a black Piano that can get your friends on Instagram red with envy. A heritage place and thus should be visited if one lands up at Delhi. Pricing is premium

Definately if you want to enjoy royalness with elegance , visit to this restaurant is must. The ambience from top roof hanging chandleirs to railings , retro cutlery , classic black piano with library, old photos showing start of era of dine in , staff with English time waiter uniform can be visualised and felt. We were group of five and went for lunch. We ordered dahi kababs and kashmiri paneer as starter. I have never tasted such a crunchy covering dahi kabab with soft and chilled dahi stuffing inside . It had amazing flavour. Kashmiri paneer was good . We ordered mulligawtony soup which was yum and had very big portion of serving which is enough for two. In drinks we ordered kal khatta which was amazing. You will just love sipping sipping and still want more. In mains we ordered malai kofta mirchi Paratha chole bature and garlic naan. For me batura was crisp but oily. Malai kofta was bit bland. Mirchi Paratha had no mirchi and garlic naan garlic was raw and not crisp. Mains was disppointing. .

The food quality is good, however, we liked only Rogan Josh and Kwality Channa out of 4 dishes we ordered. Garlic or butter naan is preferable, though Laccha paratha was not good enough. The best part was the Live Piano. Do book a table in advance and try to get the sitting downstairs.

Though the entrance itself signifies what you might expect the interiors takes your breath away. It is like walking into the history pages where time stood still. The simple yet ornate interiors reminded me of Calcutta's Coffee House in some way because of the British taste furniture. Wood crafted wooden chairs that are engraved with simple motifs and designs, white marble table tops on carved wooden base and simple, plush sofas along with chandeliers and dome shaped lights took my breath away. The staff is uniformed and courteous. Let the pictures that I have attached speak for itself. Along with that the utensils are a combination of simple yet eloquently shaped China and copper, bronze serving utensils. The crockery is like stepping into the pre-independance era. That being said the menu is concise maybe due to COVID-19 as my observation indicates a limited fare which includes signature dishes with an increase in price to catch up to the losses of 2020. Since every business has been impacted it is something that can be overlooked. For me, if the price is high and there is no compromise to quality, I am fine with it because there are a lot of livelihoods at stake. The award winner is definitely the Murgh Malai Kebab. Though I had two other dishes of Rogan Josh and Kadai Chicken nothing could beat the Murgh Malai Kabab. If you eat it with a chutney or something else you would be doing the dish and palate a great injustice. The Plain Naan and Tandoori Roti that accompanied the dishes was worth every penny I spent. The most fascinating part is that people will find the gravy bland compared to similar other dishes in different restaurants. This is simply because the dishes has maintained their traditional style of being served to people who avoided our fiery spices. The green chillies in the Kadai Chicken when eaten separately gave the taste of capsicum as they were carefully and expertly deseeded that took away the burning sensation which one would expect on munching on them. Keep up the great work and keep ensuring that after eating at your place nobody has to go to a doctor. 🤩👍🏻

A part of history and heritage, this place is for a fine dining experience. Every nook and cranny of this place oozes history, heritage and the glorious past attached to it. The food is A class, service a really pleasant experience and leaves one wanting to go back for more. It's a foodies' haven and a place to delight especially non-veg lovers though there's a decent selection of veg dishes available too! I simply loved their Dahi kebabs and can keep going back for more! A must visit if you want to be a part of history and heritage and enjoy finger-licking food!

Good to see that seating capacity has been reduced following covid19 protocols in intrest of customers and staff. Must try chole bhature, dahi ke kababs, kali daal makhani especially if you're a vegetarian. Been visiting this restaurant for three generations now and have always enjoyed their Hospitality. Only freshly cooked food is served here with choicest ingredients. No cloud kitchen stuff here with chemicals and preservatives like many popular food chains.

One of the oldest restaurants and most iconic restaurants in Delhi Connaught place. It has been recently renovated and will give you great vib of old era with its mahogany interiors and British Raj era chandeliers. Piano man playing old tunes will leave you mesmerized and nostalgic at same time. Food quality is great and but be ready for waiting line of atleast 30 mins to 1 hour. Only improvement can be more patience and polite attitude by staff. Might not always be impolite. But felt that can be area of improvement

What a wonderful place! Gives you a total feel of the India of the 50s. The chandeliers, the uniforms and the icing on the cake..the live pianist!! It's such a pleasant change from the loud music and din lights. Now the food, I've just visited once and that being an unplanned visit, all I could manage to accomodate in my tummy was the chicken tikka and it was one of the best I've had! Tender, succulent pieces, smoked to just the right degree. To sum up, it's a must visit! :)

We went there to celebrate the 31st marriage anniversary of my parents. The service was outstanding in a warm cozy atmosphere with live piano music. We ordered the chana bhatura, khichiya papad, Kali dal, paneer lababdar and for desserts, we had their parsi kulfi and chocolate fudge cake. The food and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Tried the khichiya papad for the first time and fell in love with it. The food is worth the price. I recommend everyone to try their chana bhatura. Also, had some cocktails - Kwality G&T, Alps, Sazerac and Cosmopolitan. Their G&T is refreshing- a perfect summer cocktail, loved Alps- strong, little sweet and just the right amount of kick. We had a wonderful family lunch experience. We will be going there again for sure. Also, the staff was really polite and helpful. We were served by Mr. Atul and Mr. Harinder. Thank you for your service. :)

Kwality is a Delhi iconic restaurant that should not be missed if you are on the quest to find authentic North Indian cuisine. I enjoyed everything from the food, to the service to the atmosphere. The breads and meats are spectacular, so is the sev puri. A must do is the famous chole bhature- which i did not eat on this visit but it’s a classic at Kwaltiy. Sadly I didn’t quite enjoy the kasturi chicken kebab and the rogan josh- both lacked flavour. The live piano playing, the British-Indian décoré and hearty menu really make this place special. It transfers you back to the 1940s

Very expensive food. The ambience also doesn't match up to the prices charged for food served.

Terrible... The restaurant is encompassed with the obnoxious toilet smell which they try to subdue with awful perfume spray. Had to leave after ordering.

The palace is awesome! Literally awesome! The interior is so ambitious and staff is well good. If you visit here , there is no disappointed available!!!

The ambiance of the restaurant is classic and leaves you amazed at the first sight. The variety in food was low due to covid-19 and the taste was decent. The palak patta chaat is a must have.

My first visit to this historic restaurant. It's a classic fine dining place. The ambience is beautiful with wood tables, yellow warm lighting through chandeliers and wall lamps, wood panelled walls. It's decorated with black and white photographs of historic events and other momentoes and souvenirs on the wall. There's a mini balcony seating as well. There's a bar. There was a big piano and live music on it, the live music was beautiful. It's a tight place acc to Delhi standards. For Mumbai, I think it's right on point. They have tried to fit in as many tables as they can in the place. There was quite some crowd even at 10 on a Sunday night. We had to wait about 30-40 minutes to enter. They are famous for their Chhole Bhature. We ordered Chhole (no Bhatura cause on a quest to be healthy), Dal Tadka, Lachha Paratha and Mirchi Paratha. We had to wait about 40 minutes for our food, which I understood is not standard as they came and apologised to us. The food, however, was quite tasty. The chhole and dal tadka were excellent, if a little dry. They serve it with all the accompaniments - achaar, mirchi, aloo (for cholle), pyaz. The Lachha Paratha was awesome. The mirchi paratha was okay. The quantities were good and too much for two.

What a restaurant! This is the best meal I have had in recent time. I did not expect to have such a wonderful experience. Location, awesome. Ambience, awesome. Staff, awesome. And most importantly, food, the awesome! I will recommend this place to be visited every time. This is bit expensive restaurant but is worth it. I am not from Delhi so I can't visit this place often. But wish I could. Every dish we tried was awesome. Special mention Neeraj, who served us. Thank you Neeraj for your wonderful service and hospitality!

Old charm, a perfect blend of Indian and continental cuisine. Nice clean place with very famous food. The 2 page menu is good enough as most people know what they want to eat before going here. And yes go there to see the pictures of old big shots visiting them

A royal armchair among the newer sofa set- it's sturdy, has a classic feeling, is slightly expensive but will last much longer and really knows it's stuff. This is an amazing place with a very regal ambience and good service. And to top it off, really good food. In a really nice location in CP, it is one of the best restaurants from the pre-independence era. Built in 1940, it has constantly hosted heads of states and other eminent personalities and you can see the pictures on the walls. Known for its chole bhature, mushroom soup, amazing chicken dishes, Kwality is a restaurant for families and a nice date too if you really want to impress. We 3 people had a full dinner at 1800 (might get expensive if you order chicken dishes, we didn't at that time), but you also get 15% off on Zomato pro. Also, since it's covid times, the safety protocols were very much there with sanitization and packed plates that you unpack yourself. So on that part, you cannot find a safer place to eat.

Visited Kwality for the first time after the makeover and I’m head over heels in love with this iconic restaurant. What I loved about this place is though it has a new decor but still it retains the old-world charm. And it still serves the bhathuras as big as your face! This is undoubtedly one of the best places in Delhi for dose of delicious chole bhature. The flavors are bang on, and they have been serving this city for the last 80 years. So they don’t just deliver taste but also nostalgia.

The OLD world charm of Kwality is astonishing. As you enter, you get such friendly vibes. Very pleasing. Food of course is the best one can have in the city. I for one, always always have the Bhatura and Chana. And my usual is Chicken Bharta but today it was Taar Meat. Fantastic Food, Great ambience and the most courteous staff which serves with heart. Never fails to excel ..

Visited alongwith a small group of friends for lunch. The restaurant is beautifully done up and the ambience is perfect for a cosy, peaceful sit down meal. The guests are guided courteously by the staff to their table and we were quite impressed with the set of plates and cutlery neatly wrapped in sealed envelopes as an added preventive measure against COVID 19. Great service, awesome food and absolutely fine dining experience. We ordered vegetarian fare which included a Biryani too, which was quite nice. Desserts were great too (we tried Gulab Jamun and Choco Fudge with Ice Cream). If you book though EazyDiner app, this place offers 25% discount on food and soft beverages. Overall, a delightful experience at Kwality

This is one of the oldest restaurants of CP.I was amazed with the old-world charm of this place which reminded me how eating -out experience used to be in the 90s. Delicious food, friendly staff and good service are some of its strengths.

The most versatile and vintage restaurant i ever visited. This place is classic and very calm. I enjoyed there being seated and also the service is extremely good. All the food is very delicious. I had hara bhara kebab, paneer botti tikka in the starters and both were mouth-watering. Then we had drinks in which i had panters punch that was amazing drink with rum base. In the main course i had theirs best food that is chana bhatura and it was amazing. I already visited there two times.. i will definitely visit here when ever the moment came.

Second time in Delhi and this is hands down the best meal I’ve had. The service was exceptional as well, the maître d’, Moolchand, was very attentive and thoughtful. Prices were very reasonable as well considering the quality of the food, ambience, history behind the restaurant and the service level.
