This is a motel charging a 5 star rate. There are mounds everywhere, the shower is rusted and leaky. The staff is rude. They did not honor my online booking and charged me additional 2k when I reached the hotel. The room stinks, and is not clean and hygienic. The room service got us rotten food. There was a weird sound coming of the toilet and it looked so dirty! This hotel is a nightmare. Would not recommend to anyone, especially if are looking for a clean hygienic place to stay.

I have been visiting the hotel for nearly 10 years now. The owner management should seriously make these changes..The room interiors are the same..the carpet, matress, pillows needs to be changed as their durability is completely finished. The bathroom toiletries are of very average quality. The breakfast buffet food and taste is going down day by day. Overall the hotel is working in grade of 3 star instead of charged rates of a 5 star. Very Disappointed. Hope to see these changes or never visiting again.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Metropolitan Hotel and Spa, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts a modern and elegant ambiance that instantly makes you feel welcome. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The breakfast buffet options were diverse and delicious, catering to a range of tastes. I particularly enjoyed their fish dishes. The attention to detail in the culinary offerings was evident. While my stay was fantastic, I am giving four stars instead of five. Nevertheless, I would recommend the Metropolitan Hotel and Spa to fellow travelers looking for a comfortable and well-appointed stay near to Connaught Place or the visa application centre. I look forward to returning in the future!"

from the moment you enter this hotel, you feel obliged to tell everyone about your personal life. We weren't allowed in with a vaccine certificate. .they asked for a pcr test, but I could not explain to them that I had been in India for 4 months. stupid rules for those who have long lived in India. Receptionist was rude to guests. Poor service and guest service. No respect for guests. Found a better hotel. .I do not recommend this hotel for tourists. they will only ruin your holiday. stupid and uneducated people work in this hotel..

Had a horrible time with the staff Had been to Delhi for a visa appointment and we were already running late. The hotel staff took too long to check if we had eaten chocolates in the room. They claimed that we had while we hadn't used any confectionary in the room. That was really cheap from the staff. Our lights didn't switch off when we entered the room and we had to call technicians in the middle of the night. Only thing I enjoyed was there breakfast options.

It's one of those stay where I want to rate more than 5 as the staff is really polite and can accommodate request which was not notified earlier. My guests who visited India for the first time were really happy. Special thanks to Mr. Sunny and his Manager Mr. Pankaj. PS: This review was pending from Nov 2023.

The spa experience was truly rejuvenating. The serene ambiance and skilled therapists created a haven of relaxation. The variety of treatments catered to different preferences, and the attention to detail in every service was evident. From soothing massages to refreshing facials, each session left me feeling pampered and refreshed. The staff's professionalism and attentiveness added to the overall positive impression. It's a place where stress melts away, and I left with a sense of tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a blissful escape.

We went for a 70th birthday party. There were around 60 people. Snacks were being served even during dinner and no one was interested in them. Quality of snacks was alright. Food was below average for what claims to be a 5 star hotel. Even the look and get up of the venue was more like a 3 star hotel.

Disappointed by the internet and amenities. It is supposed to be star hotel but the internet speed is 2MPs and limited to only 2 gadgets. For higher speed you will have to pay extra. There is no complimentary slippers, and toothbrush provided in the room. The room safety locker is extremely small which could barely fit your wallet. Overall expected much more based on its room tariff.

I forgot to collect my stuff from the room and their lost and found department was denied straight away that they didn't find anything. I asked them to check with their team mates but they are rigid. This is the 1st time ever I have experienced such unprofessional behaviour by any star rating property. It seems I am the culprit and I don't remember the things as per Metropolitan staff. Choose this property wisely. It's a matter of safety of your own product as property doesn't give a fu..k about the sentiments of their guest.

This hotel is located in such a great location but I have no clue how they got a 4 star rating. They barely make 2 star in appearance, functionality and culture. Rooms smells of fungus grown on walls and common area smells like cigarettes, smokers may like it but for non smokers it's a hell. Front desk staff is not the best as they kind of already know and agree to issues with the hotel and there is not much in their hands they can help with.

I read somewhere in a review that this was a motel masquerading as a five star hotel. That's a pretty apt description. There is virtually no customer service and the crowd inhabiting the hotel, at least on the night of my visit was very unpleasant (very drunk and loud, even confrontational in a shared elevator which made me very uncomfortable). The only redeeming factor is the location, but so not worth the price you pay for it.

Had a great stay. We were 3 ladies visiting Delhi for business and felt extremely safe here! Staff was super helpful especially Mr Faisal at the reception, the travel desk lady and Mr Ashok with housekeeping who stocked up our room well! Breakfast felt a bit monotonous for 4 mornings! Could use a change of menu! Overall great location and would highly recommend to friends and family!

The spa staff were attentive and skilled, creating a tranquil atmosphere that enhanced the relaxation. The facilities were well-maintained, and the variety of treatments offered catered to diverse preferences. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the commitment to guest comfort. Good location, clean rooms however the staff never smile. I never felt that happy welcome in this hotel. I stayed more than twice and made my family members stay there also. The staff kinda never gave me that welcoming feeling. We stay always as it's next to my in laws house and in the centre and also a very clean and comfortable place. If the staff were a bit more happy and friendly. It would have been the best.

Loved the experience overall, with service from the hotel staff being the highlight. Breakfast buffet can make you overeat so be warned as its yummy. Feedback about rooms would be to perhaps remove the odour of them being closed/damp before check in as that was the only issue I faced. Another feedback is airport pickup and drop, the rates quoted by hotel over my email inquiry are too high and should align with regular cab prices for better experience. Final issue is my international amex got charged a conversion fee even though they insisted at checkin that it would not happen.

Beware of hidden charges! We just had a bitter - sweet experience at the Metropolitan. The price is very expensive and compared to that price you get nothing except a spacious room with employees helping with your luggage. If you are visiting for business /work the hotel has the worst Wi-Fi policy, they just let you connect 2 devices with 1 mbps speed Wi-Fi. Every additional device will be charged (at a extraordinary high rate; with a much lower price you can afford the cellular data top ups) The mini bar has an additional cost, it was hidden as they also charged for welcome snacks(dry fruits, 2 bottles of water, little hearts, 2 kitkats= approx 1000rs) They count this at the time of check out, which will leave you surprised. Before checking out we had tipped the hotel service as they helped with our luggage, wish we should’ve not. Should I mention what breakfast costs?(it is 1000rs - per person per day) To summarize this hotel is just overrated, you will surely be disappointed in the end.

We stayed here for a night and were very impressed with everything. Staff was courteous and helpful, rooms were well decorated, bathrooms were spacious and food was good . Great value for money too . I always stayed at Taj or Marriott but since this was only for a night and very close to where I had a meeting , I chose this and it was great . Very close to central Delhi , lot of parking and easy to check in and out . Special thanks to reception who checked us in and out . By mistake I have booked this hotel for August and I was there in July. They have offered us water and given us time to relax. Then again I have booked it for the same day from their own website. Awesome experience in Delhi.

This hotel is a good place with very cooperative staff. The hospitality, building and the interior ambience is very good. There is ample parking space in and around the building. The only issue that i noticed was the dark and very dimly lit outer ambience. Rest this is a good hotel.

This hotel is a mile away from 5 star facility. Only the entrance and lobby is lavish and good but when you enter into the room, it's a 180 degrees shift in experience. Old rooms, used and cheap quality bedding, century old and used towels. Not worth the price for a 5 star.

The Metropolitan Hotel in Connaught Place (CP) is a luxurious hotel known for its elegant ambiance and excellent service. My first and last visit to this hotel. Overall room quality and services aren’t worth the tariff rates. Way better alternatives available. Also the pool went under maintainance/cleaning at 8:30am on a Friday. Perfect time to close it down for the hotel guests.

Really the worst freaking hotel in Delhi. It’s a joke to call it a 5 star. Longer review to come soon. But from check in to check out, these guys are ridiculous and don’t know what service is (if you’re an Indian, but they seem nicer to white guests so seem very racist as people on hospitality as well).

Overall, a splendid choice for those seeking a refined hotel experience.

Looks like a 1960s bond movie setting. Decor doesn't seem to have changed since then. Seating is the most noticeable in need of renovation. Beds are comfortable and came with 2 good size feather pillows. Iron and ironing board. Robe. Snacks. 2 big bottles of water. And of course, tea and coffee making facilities!

We stayed a night. It is near to US VAC centre. Hotel was pretty decent. It is better than chennai Park hotel🤣🤣. You can ask anything from the reception as we asked for dental n shaving kit. Room service is very quick. Breakfast was amazing, you will find many good options to eat.

Terrible place. I had to shift room. And after shifting, i found that switches are not working. So you can't control lights. In restaurant there is only 10-15 items in menu to have lunch. Breakfast kind of okey. Internet speed is 1mbps. There are other good hotels in near by locations, please go for them.

Rude reception manager with zero curtosy for guests. Hotel has different standards for different guests which is highly derogatory. Which is shame on the hotel management!! Reception don't receive your calls at all after check in. Found expired toiletries like body lotion with expiry date of one year back!! Room comfort is average!! Super costly food with below average taste! Overall it's waste of money! Giving two stars only for polite housekeeping staff.

  • 4/5 Jatin C. 2 years ago on Google
4 stars because even though the look and feel of the place is nice but the services have taken a dip. Wifi didn’t work. When it did, the speed offered was 1mbps which is not enough to get your job done.

The service is very much average, during late evening hours its worse , especially in the dining area, otherwise the staff are cooperative, a hotel of this kind in such a prime area can give much , much better services and facilities, hope they look into it seriously. All the best for future development.....

For the cost a loss. Just didn't feel the hospitality feel at all. Each one was doing a job . Will avoid it . The dossier in the room was dust ridden and falling apart.

  • 3/5 ALKA TRIPATHI S. 2 years ago on Google
There was a constant smell of dampness on the floor and inside the room, the kind that results from mold and mildew. I've read others reviews that mention this too. The temperature control in the room was hard to figure out so I was cold the entire night. The morning breakfast was good with several options. Overall, not worth the price they charge. They need to bring it down by at least a $20 or get rid of the dampness.

It is not worth for 5 star hotel. Bit old and overpriced. Not suitable for business vist who require internet. Their high speed internet is just 2Mb per sec and for only 2 device. Additional 1200 will get 2 more device for 2Mbps high speed internet. So better choose nicer hotel close to it.

If you have gone on work then you will be disappointed with the wifi. It is too slow. I could not open my NIC email. Had this experience in 2 different visits. The Metropolitan was such a treat. The staff were great and the hotel was very accommodating. We only stayed for one night. But they gave us an early check in (we arrived at 9am from the airport) and a late check out (because we had a morning tour) for no additional charge. The room was really clean and comfy. And it'd very well located in a nice area. So overall we enjoyed it alot.

This place is amazing! Atmosphere is cozy and the staff is also really friendly. I was there with my family. We weren’t aware of the cancellation of our booking due to card issues, however the front desk staff was kind enough to arrange us family room that was interconnected. Our room was on the 8th floor. The housekeeping staff Mr.Ashok was also a humble person and was personally attending us with our needs. The rooms were very clean. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. We will definitely stay here next time as well.
