The hotel is a 4 star and the facilities seems to be very basic. No smart card for doors and it's just physical key to open the rooms. Breakfast very basic and does not taste good. Shower area is cramped and it's tough for anyone to bath within the area. You can't even turn or lift your hands to take a good shower. Water keeps flowing outside the shower area. Corridor are dark so you have difficulty in finding the keyhole in your room to open door. The staff just keep wishing you to extract money apart from that they don't do any helpful service. I literally had to pay them to get from following me. Overall they need to improve a lot to match even the basic rental rooms.

I stayed there for 4 nights for some business. The suite room is spacious and it's all those days luxury, meaning it's the 90's luxury room, the cot, diwan, chairs, table, desk, almost everything is made of wood. Had a garden view from the room which brought on the sunlo. The service of the staff was good. Not one was not Happy to help us, every request was granted. The location is the safest in Delhi it's really close to the US embassy and all the state houses.

Spacy rooms, good bed. Breakfest is Limited selection. That AC fan was noisy and the bath room flooded quickly by several issues from water drainage. Service was extremly caretaking.

A Great place to stay to enjoy quality time with your loved one's. Charismatic view and beauty of the hotel attracts you to feel the paradise Live-in moment, which I have spent with my family and wife. I am mostly concern about my kids and my old age parents, when I visit such places that how the staff of the hotel going to take care of my gems. But the staff of this hotel make my family feel that they are at home and spent the most beautiful time here. Five ⭐ to every thing. Thanks again for such awesome service 🤗

Spacious clean rooms with courteous staff. The location is ideal if you have work at the embassy. The restaurant was closed for dine-in, and only room service was available. The electrical and bathroom fittings need an upgrade.

Great location! Right in chanakya Puri - however the place is old and run down. If you stay - stay for the location. Breakfast was very average!

Worst hotel service I experienced in a long time… Staff is very cold and not helpful. First, gave me really small, no window room even when other rooms were available. Water bottles beyond 500ml is chargeable. Really small clumsy rooms in general. Made faces when I asked for 2 lemons for my water.

Someone complained of rats in their room and they decided to get pest control while the hotel is full of people. The smell is horrendous and me and my friends have a headache. They should have atleast had the decency to inform us so that we could have stepped out of the barely ventilated rooms.

The location of this place is Great Super Connected. But the property is not maintained to its actual glory . Breakfast Spread is also limited. Food quality can be improved. this Property is In One Of the prime locations in the capital . But It is not maintained Thoroughly. The Place Can Be Better NO doubt As I Mentioned the food Quality can Be Improved. I Had An Omlette For the breakfast But it was Undercooked . Same as the boiled eggs. I Think it is overrated for For all that . The Bathroom is Is Considerably small And Even smaller shower area . The faucets are not working properly. AND LIMITED HOT WATER I guess. Because Midway through my shower it was suddenly all cold water. Can be much improved

Hygiene can be improved. Kitchen is really bad. Room is small and the floor is dusty. Bath room Hygiene can be improved. A stair way is blocked to create more rooms, as a result, fire escape route is reduced. Food is exorbitant considering the service provided and the value. For a lamb curry with rice, it cost Indian Rupee 1,065 and the portion is small; lots of bone! For the price of over Indian Rupee 10,000 a night, the room is expensive. The room is bare; no slipper , no hair dryer. Coffee, Tea and amenity is minimum. Staffs are extremely nice and friendly, especially the Singh gentleman. Location is between the IG Int'al Airport and the New Delhi City centre, so it is good. Overall, it is not worth the price. Would not recommend anyone.

The good: - The location if you are visiting any of the embassies - Friendly helpful staff who are quick to respond - Provided us with the room though we reached early The bad: - Dated rooms, not well maintained - Smelly bathrooms - No option of a la carte for breakfast and so forced to take their package which has limited options (Idli wasn’t ready at 8am for example). And I was not told the a la carte option isn’t available when I enquired the previous day.

While the property is beautiful there are some basic issues with the rooms and bathrooms which are a major red flag for a room at this price. I was staying in room 106 - the bathroom was having some faucet leaking so there was water on the floor when we arrived. There was little to no pressure in the hot water (imagine this in delhi winters) and when we complained the person who came to our room told that some plumber will fix it in the evening but by that time we'll be gone. My request is directly to the owner, please come here and fix these issues else it will effect your hotel ratings and other things

An old hotel established in 1970. The location is great. Room are good and kept well. Service is also good. The owners have maintained it very well but many people/customers would prefer a modern looking place.

Centrally located, calm and quiet place. Rooms are comfortable and huge. Balcony is an added value. The breakfast spread is very limited. They will give you egg options and also paranthas upon request. Staff is very courteous and helpful.

Extremely basic hotel Clean sheets n towels Ridiculously small shower area which doesn’t drain the water properly because the slope of the floor is in the wrong direction. Breakfast is bread butter jam, couple of cereals n Idli Sambhar You can have boiled eggs or order an omelette But remember, if you are in a rush, don’t order anything, it takes forever. Our coffees took over 15 mins and we had to take a sip n leave for our appointment. Only reason to stay is it’s location. Lobby was infested with bugs n mosquitoes

Not good comparing it's 4 start status...the curtains were not clean..The food options are very limited and prices are extremely high...good if you don't have any options in diplomatic enclave. Staffs are friendly.

The 3 star rating is considering the purpose of my visit. I have visited this Hotel for a Visa Interview and location of this hotel is very much near to the consulates. Even VACs are like 20 mins drive. The hotel is an old establishment, but with neat rooms. Staff behavior is really appreciable. Food is not that great and are really expensive as well. Not the best for a vacation stay, but for the purpose of visa interviews, this is really a good option provided you opt to get food from Swiggy or Zomato.

Nice and clean rooms with great room service. The backyard garden is well maintained and you can hear birds chirping during the early morning hours. Staff is well trained and friendly. They provide around the clock service. There is an additional charge for bottled water after 1Liter (I was staying solo).

Overall stay was ok. Location perfect for embassy related work. Cleaning staff are proactive. Safe for solo female passengers. However, there were No hand wash gels and sanitizer in bath room. No microwaves even in common area. I had to book for an extra day (previous day) without even staying , as the early check-in was too early as per management ( around 4am on booking day). I was flying across timezones and didn't wish to get into a hassle after a long flight. Then, on the very next day, they changed my room as I had two separate bookings (booking.com & MakeMyTrip.com). I had even requested specifically not to change my room at the time of checking in itself. In house Restaurant prices were exorbitant (They charge around INR 165/- for a plate of rice). On the final day before check out they accommodated just one extra hour, although my flight was delayed by 4 hours and I had to spend remaining time at the airport. Frankly, I was expecting a couple of extra hours to be accommodated as I had paid for an extra day. A few nearby hotels where my friends stayed had better experiences.

This is a dark and dingy hotel, looks like it used to be better. Location is excellent if you have work in the embassy area, but otherwise i would suggest to do your research

Toilet needs a shower curtain. Had bad experiences with fridge, even after changing it did not work. Food choice is less but all items are tasty. Otherwise a good hotel with value for money. Good location.

Its a 5 star, but actually it should not be more than a 3 star. Not at all worth the money we paid for our 2 day stay. Very shabby and dusty.

At check in, no wallet parking, even though it’s a 4-star hotel. No lift. Rooms are fine. No bathroom curtain. No mirror in room. No slippers or bathrobe. Breakfast quality, service, options very very poor. Just like any other local hotel. On top of that server was using same used plate at different tables. Good part is its prime location and average rooms. Although staff is polite, but service is poor.

I’ve been to different hotels in different cities in all over India but the worst part of this particular hotel is they don’t provide water for their Guests. I was told we have to pay extra for water because they provide only 500ml water per day per guest as complementary. It’s not about the money. It’s all about how they want to cash out your necessities. Not going back again to this place. 👎 About the hotel, it’s just okay. Considering close to embassy is the only advantage. Rooms are like dusty. Breakfast was passable. Overall it’s BAD

  • 3/5 harshitha g. 2 years ago on Google
I felt Staff does their job and wait for tip.. also worst part is we need to call to reception everytime for hot water.. hot water is not available 24/7. Other wise hotel is neat

  • 3/5 sutheesh s. 2 years ago on Google
It’s just okay, depends on the amount you pay, if you get less than 3000 then good option, please don’t take their breakfast it’s not good at all, in room just enough for 2 ppl, tv is there, hot water morning and evening, lunch and dinner is ala carte and it’s very expensive and not so good, so better to get it outside, staff are good and helpful. I paid around 8000 for night ( including breakfast and tax) and I felts it’s not at all worth for 8000

  • 2/5 Ramesh B. 2 years ago on Google

Very good place to stay in the Diplomatic Enclave. Walking distance to some good restaurants, Starbucks. Excellent service and courteous staff. Highly recommend it. Thank you for your exceptional service.

Food is not good but you can order from outside. Zomato and swiggy are best. Best choice if you are coming for visa application. Rooms are good. But one thing i didnt like about is that we want to check out after 2hours. While i was booking room, they told me they will provide me 2more hours based on availability. But they charged me half of room price for just 2hours. Good room service. Worst breakfast byt on request they will provide you omelette but need to mention ingredients😅 but its fine.

Hotel Diplomat in Delhi provides a pleasant stay with its cozy ambiance and courteous staff. The central location is advantageous for exploring the city. However, some areas for improvement include enhancing Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring prompt room service, and updating certain amenities to meet modern standards. Overall, a decent choice with room for refinements.
