Excellent service, kind staff, and very clean inside. Food was great. Had the Duke of Earl, and a side of biscuits and gravy. Highly reccomend!

1st time here. Delicious brunch with my daughters, and friends. The place wasn't too busy, I wanted more coffee, as the cups are tiny like 6 oz. I asked for more coffee twice, after a while she brought me a refill. I normally drink a 24 oz coffee every morning, so I really needed another cup. That was the only let down. I know some days service varies. Moods change. We're only human. Please be generous with coffee. 😁

Came in for breakfast with some friends. Food was tasty and service was good too. I had the grilled chicken, mushroom roll with a salad. The bread was my favorite part, made the whole plate worth the trip. It’s a no frills, super local place good for a quick bite breakfast or lunch.

I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich. I was really disappointed with the two slices of pastrami on the large sandwich bun with chopped lettuce, tomato, cheese with a few slivers of onion. I do not believe any business should be affiliated in politics during business hours. Especially when vulgar language can be seen read in public by minors.

The service was great, food was great. I would eat here any time. Thanks for being so friendly

Since we walked in we were greeted very welcoming and with a smile. Our server brought us our drinks and food very rapidly and everything was delicious.

Been living in hilmar for 2.5yrs and never eaten at this restaurant, my parents were in town so I decided to take them for breakfast. Terrible service, the server only came to check on us once. She forgot to bring silverware so that one time she came to check on us we said we need silverware so she said oh sorry I bring it right now, almost 5 min had passed and still nothing, she was grabbing other orders so we tried to get hers and other servers attention and all ignored us, my husband had to get up and grab some, later my dad wanted coffee and again we tried to get our server’s attention and she ignored us and finally we got up and asked other server if we could get a cup of coffee for my dad, she said I’ll be right up, she comes with coffee pot and we said we wanted a cup of coffee for my dad and she rolled her eyes and walked away and came back with the cup, we waited another 15-20 min after we were all done eating for check but it never came. My husband had to get up to get it and our server said oh sorry I was about to bring it up. Food was bland, no flavor, do they not use seasoning??? Never coming back

What a treat this visit was. Took my 90year old dad and it brought him back to the 50's. Kudos to Alyssa, our waitress, who went above and beyond helping my dad and chatting with us. All while taking care of her other customers. Fodd was more than I could eat, flavor, was great. Thank you!!

Every year for my birthday Jan. 1st 🎉 my handsome son’s take me out to This year 2024 I chose The Hot Rod Diner in Hilmar 😀 from start to finish it was great 🎉 waitress was awesome the food was really good. We will definitely be back 👍👍

Avocado, bacon, burger was very good. The service was excellent. We live outside of town, but will patronize this establishment. Next time we drive through.
