We had our Sunday Lunch at The Samavar, 24/7 Coffee Shop at Ashoka Hotel. I should admit a very Colonial ambiance of the restaurant and a good view through big wooden window, it’s a well-lighted place with a lot of Sunlight and very peaceful to have coffee! However, the restaurant lacks modern outlook, staff & Quality of food : 1) Food : We had buffet which was laid unlike a 5 Star Hotel style. There was choice of only 2 Non-vegetarian and 4 Vegetarian. The Chinese was very Indian Style (not acceptable in 5 star hotel). They only had one choice of soup and it was very normal. 2)Live Artist : They also have a live piano player during Dinner, who is very OKAY. 3)Staff : Staff is nice and caring Overall, It was a okay experience but would request the management to give a deep look at the overall renovation of this place and market it well to get more people to experience

Experience - It is very good and refreshing. Staff - They are polite and good. Service - It is not too quick. Location - It is good and easily approachable. Portion - it is quite enough for one person. Price - 1300 for Two (approx) Must Try - Veg Burger, Club Sandwich, Tortilla Wrap

The staff is courteous Food here is so apt Sandwiches , coffee , fries - all are flavouful without any unnecessary ingredient Ambience is warm with pool side view Just loved the hospitality of the staff

Really bad service as well as tea, coffee and snacks. Very poor quality food. I ordered a plate of samosas and the samosas were not cooked inside looks like they were fried in a very high flame....really? There masala tea and coffee was hopeless, never expect this quality from a 5 star. I strongly will not recommend this place.

Breakfast was served here with a decent spread. Considering a 5 star property, the choice of dishes could be better. Overall an average experience.

Good Dinner Buffet experience with nice, soothing ambience and great staff service. There was a decent number of dishes served (not too many), but most of them tasted delicious. Some of the highlights were the Malabari Fish Curry, Chicken Tikka, Shahi Paneer and Tandoori Salad. Among the dessert dishes, Kala Jaamun and Kulfi were really good.

If you take dinner/breakfast package from Ashok hotel, this is where you will have the buffet. Reasonable quality of food.
