It's a good well maintained Museum dedicated to Indian Police force of different states , and Central Police forces . It also well explained Indian policing history since indus valley civilization and how it got developed. It also have name of policemen died while performing duties and some special operations. They have good clean AC cafe which serve some beverages and snacks at Avery reasonable prices. As a Indian one can visit to know about police history.

The National Police Memorial is a memorial to India's fallen policemen, and is laid out in a large, landscaped area in Chanakyapuri. The main area consists of lawns and pathways with walls engraved with the names of some five thousand martyred policemen; near the main gate is a tall grey-stone cenotaph with the symbolic helmet-and-rifle sculpture that memorializes the fallen soldier. Towards the back are other ancillary buildings: a souvenir shop, a small café, and (at one corner) the washrooms: these are rather dusty because few people come here, but not dirty or smelly. Underground of the memorial is the National Police Museum . Entry to both the museum and the memorial is free. You have to enter your details in a register at the visitors’ welcome centre just inside the gate, and deposit any bags in the lockers they have there. We visited on a weekend, but this was fairly empty, a pleasant place to visit, and solemn.

A very well showcased place. A must visit for everyone. Pay homage to police personnel’s who laid their lives on duty. The place has a museum in the basement detailing history, weaponry , uniform etc. it has an auditorium screening film about police. It has Asia’s biggest open air screen. Well manicured lawns and a single granite stone sculpture as memorial. Names of all the police personnel who died while fighting have their names engraved on the plates. Entry to the memorial is free. There is a cafe and souvenir shop. Parking is free. A place must for kids to come and see our police history.

The national police memorial, New Delhi is one of the best museums in India where you can learn a lot about the history of India’s Police Forces and also the Central Armed Police Forces. To begin with the staff deployed there is very welcoming and you dont need to purchase any tickets to visit the memorial. Inside the museum there is a beautiful memorial in the centre and there are names of the brave police officers and policemen inscribed on the walls who have laid down their lives to maintain law and order. You can pay your respects to the brave policemen there. The museum is beautifully designed and i would recommend that every Indian should visit this beautiful museum at least once and pay their respects to the brave policemen and also learn about the history of India’s Police Forces.

It had a brief description about all police and armed forces, which came under it. One the granite , the names of all martyr police personnel have been written.

I was just crossing his place when I came across the National Police Memorial. I was stunned !! This is really a great way of giving respect to our country’s policemen and police women. Every police personnel who lost their life in their efforts to save us, has his/her name inscribed out here. And yes - with all details - their year/ state name and department name. If you’re from the police or the armed forces, trust me, you will have tears in your eyes and feel proud of them al. Even if you’re not from the armed services , but you’re a patriotic and a grateful citizen of our country you would salute your brave policemen and wild certainly love to visit this place. If that wasn’t enough, Every Saturday in the evening there’s a parade out here. Respect to our police, and to our soldiers.

???? Years in the making finally a National Police Memorial has come up in heart of the city. It pays tribute to those policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice in the call of duty to keep the nation together. Every year on the Commemoration day on October 21, Union Home Minister and the top hierarchy of the police forces pay tribute to those who made ultimate sacrifice in call of duty. The Memorial has Walls of Honour having names of about 40,000 policemen who laid their lives. The Memorial has come up well. There is also a plan for Museum which is yet to come up.

The National Police Memorial site is located at the crest of Shantipath in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. There is a panoramic view of the actual podium and ceremonial parade ground. Also a newly constructed Wall of Valour at Memorial, there names of the martyrs are inscribed. That is a silent acknowledgement of the bravery and sacrifice of Police personnels.

Entry is free. This is a museum dedicated to police and paramilitary forces of our country. There is a layer of walls on which name of martyred police men are engraved. The entire museum is very beautiful and there is a ocean of knowledge there. You will find a very glorified history of Indian police system. Designs of Uniform, guns used by our defence forces since British time are beautifully decorated there. There are multiple computer screens which contains a huge amount of knowledge about different defence forces and visual representations. Trust me you will defenetaly enjoy there. This amount of facility worth some ticket price but thanks to Indian government which provide us with this structure free of cost.

A must visit place for every Indian to remember the supreme sacrifice made by the Police Force of all states and especially the CRPF,BSF,ITBP,SSB,CISF. Situated near the Police Station Chanakyapuri and Teen Murti. More than 36000 names of martyr soldiers engraved on the walls. A beautiful and pleasant atmosphere will make you feel proud of our Gumnaam Soldiers of Police Forces. War memorial is known to so many people but this memorial is standing silent and only a few people know this memorial. There is an AC cafe being run by CRPF which serves Tea,Coffee,Snacks, key chain,T shirts etc at very reasonable prices. By these items to spread awareness among common people about these ignorable or lesser known martyrs.Jaihind🙏🪔🇮🇳

Undoubtedly one of the most underrated and less known memorial and museum complex in Delhi. The architectural style resembling National War Memorial with engravings of the ennumerous brave police personnel who have achieved martyrdom in line of duty... It also consists of a well maintained and elaborate museum dedicated to the police force present in each state and throughout the nation. A souvenir shop cum canteen is also present in the premises. The place seldom appears to have much crowd...being almost empty in weekdays... And is accessible from Chanakyapuri Police Station Bus stop. Entry is free and just requires filling the visitor register.

National Police Memorial in Chanakya Puri area is a must visit place to pay our respect to the Police forces. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in 2018, this memorial was constructed after a delay of number of years for want of decisive leadership. Names of thousands of martyred soldiers is scripted on the granite plaques inside the memorial. In one public meeting on 22nd December in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi also called upon the people residing in recently regularised colonies to visit the Memorial.

An excellent place for Museum lovers, pictorial history of policing in India in a nice Museum underground. One can see statues of various gestures of policemen in uniform. Vibrant place for Library & Literature on Policing. Memorial plaque in center is also a excellent piece made in Granite stone fascia, visible from south direction road outside, Large ground with vast greens and a place for leisure. People specially children would like to see this memorial in large numbers in times ahead as this New place is not having adequate publicity so far.

The National Police Memorial commemorates the police personnel whose lives were lost in the fight against terrorism, militancy and insurgencies in different states. Not only one must visit the memorial to pay tribute to the martyred but one must also visit to have a greater insight on the police forces in India. Did you know that the first Kotwali (Police Station) was created by Shah Jahan in 1648 and the first FIR was lodged in 1861. Isn't it interesting. We all know that police forces are trained to tackle terrorism, insurgency, extremism, communal riots, coastal security, cyber security, surveillance, infiltration, threat assessment and many more. Why would we not like to know in depth about such activities taken by the police force. The central sculpture i.e. slab of granite weighing 238 tonnes has been excavated in Telangana and has been brought all the way to Delhi in a trailer. There is a detailed short film about the monolith granite slab excavation and it's transportation to memorial. Take my words - It's amazing. There is a also a small auditorium which aires short videos on the police valour. The walls of the auditorium have posters of movies related to police forces which have made us fill with pride such as Sarfarosh, Shool, Khakee, Singham, Aan etc. You will know something more about the various central and state Police Foreces in India viz. CISF, SPG, NSG, RPF, CRPF, IB etc. and also about dog squad, camel squad, pigeon carrier service. If you like to read more about the same then there are recommend books such as Voice of CBI, CBI Headquarters, Police: The Human Face, Outside CBI, Jungle Warfare etc. kept on the shelf at the memorial. The coffee table book of the various state police states are also displayed. A must visit for all age groups when you are in Delhi. Do Visit.

Happened into this "park" but it was so much more. Dedicated to the police martyrs of all of India, it is a beautiful and fitting tribute. The museum helped my family understand the different branches of all those that protect try his land. The staff was helpful in guiding us. Observing the flag lowering on the weekends is a must.

This place tells us about the sacrifice of police and their different roles in various organisations of our country. Evokes a sense of patriotism. It also has a nice cafe and souvenir shop. It is fully air conditioned and you can also spend time outside in a huge open area. All this in a peaceful area called shanti path. Must visit.

In a sombre ceremony held on October 21, 2018, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi paid homage to the valiant Policemen who laid down their lives while defending the integrity of our motherland by laying a wreath and remembering the brave Policemen who made the supreme sacrifice. He also dedicated the newly constructed National Police Memorial at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi to the nation. The National Police Memorial (NPM) site is located at the crest of Shantipath in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and the NPM campus has a tiered landscape having capacity to accommodate over 750 persons. It provides a panoramic view of the actual podium and ceremonial parade ground in front from various angles at the site. The newly constructed Wall of Valour at NPM on which names of the martyrs are inscribed, stands as a silent acknowledgement of the bravery and sacrifice of Police personnel, who have laid down their lives in the line of duty since Independence.

Very nicely designed Memorial for those police from all states of India and from the CAPFs and CPOs who laid down their lives in the direct line of duty protecting our people and the security and integrity of our country. More than 34,000 names of police officers and policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice are listed in the Wall of Valour here. Each year about 200 names get added. The Police Museum here which is underground is also worth seeing.

The National Police Memorial is a profoundly moving place, evoking deep emotions and an enormous respect for our police forces. It's essential to visit such sites occasionally, to honor those who sacrificed their lives for our present and future. Sundays and Saturdays are ideal for a visit, as there are ceremonies. Additionally, the 21st of October marks Police Commemoration Day, celebrated with cultural programs.
