Every Indian must visit this place to feel grateful to the person who wrote our Constitution. This place has the power to boost the patriotism within every Indian. The technology used here especially with the talking robot of Dr Ambedkar made me amazingly spellbound. All the wax statues in this museum are super realistic.

Canteen is also available with reasonable prices and decent taste. One must try “Shahi Gulab Jamun”. Parking is available within the premises. Entry is free to the memorial, only parking charges are there which are very low.

Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as B.R. Ambedkar, was a prominent Indian jurist, social reformer, and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. He dedicated his life to fighting for the rights and upliftment of the oppressed and marginalized sections of society, particularly the Dalits (formerly known as "untouchables"). To honor his immense contributions to India, various memorials and institutions have been established in his name, and one of the most significant is the BR Ambedkar Memorial in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The BR Ambedkar Memorial, also known as the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal, is a grand architectural complex that stands as a symbol of social justice, equality, and the struggle for the rights of the underprivileged. Spread over an extensive area, the memorial is a testament to Ambedkar's vision for a just and equitable society. This memorial complex comprises numerous structures and features, including a grand stupa, a museum, and a large amphitheater. The stupa is the centerpiece of the memorial and houses a bronze statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. It is surrounded by pristine lawns, reflecting pools, and a meticulously landscaped garden. The entire complex is designed in a manner that reflects Ambedkar's ideals and his commitment to justice. The BR Ambedkar Memorial is located in Delhi and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The BR Ambedkar Memorial is not only a place of historical and cultural significance but also a reminder of the ongoing struggle for social justice and equality in India. It is a must-visit destination for those interested in the life and work of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the principles he stood for.

his magnificent museum in the shape of an open book, resembling Indian Constitution, is undoubtedly a must visit in New Delhi. The façade, the interior and entire display inside is worth of admiration. It is located at Alipur Road, New Delhi, opposite to Bungalow of the Chief Minister of Delhi. The museum is erected at the site of the original home of Dr Ambedkar. this is first ever Dr Ambedkar Museum in the National Capital. The museum is in two stories. As one enters the first floor of museum, one finds a larger than life size statue of Dr Ambedkar, the first floor also has some of the most modern equipment and Gadgets which illustrates the life history of Dr Ambedkar. There is a Life size Robotic Statue of Dr Ambedkar with proximity sensor fitted in it, the moment one reaches close to it, it starts delivering a great speech in his original recorded voice. It also makes bodily movement, making the entire thing appear lively. There are huge screens fitted on the walls which plays in loop good deal of information related to life and achievements of Dr Ambedkar. The ground floor has information related to the formulation of constitution, on how it came into being? There are on display the replica of all the pages of original hand written constitution. On this level of museum there is a recreation of the study room of Dr Ambedkar. There is also a dedicated corner for meditation on this floor where one can find a white, single stone, Vietnamese marble statue of Gautama Budhha. The garden outside the museum is themed as Sanchi Stupa with colourful fountains. The façade of the museum glows bright with hundreds and thousands of colourful LED fitted on it. In evening the museum is definitely very eye catching Important Infos: 1. The entry is free for Indian Nationals but that for foreign nationals is chargeable. 2. There is an underground parking which costs around INR 20 for cars and INR 10 for Bikes. 3. There is a decent restaurant within the premises of the museum. 4. Nearest Metro is Vidhan Sabham which is at the walkable distance. 5. The Museums opens at 10 am and closes at 0730 hrs. It remains closed on Mondays and all gazetted holidays. 6. The guided tour inside the museum is free.

This place has been a must visit during childhood and was a great place to go. I came back to Delhi in early 2019 for a short visit and decided to go here. Apparently the place burnt down in 2016 with most exhibits lost. However, maps still show this place (Have requested an edit). But more importantly the website of the place shows it as completely operational with no news of the incident.

One of the hidden gems in Delhi where you can find about the constitutional knowledge and its history. You'll find this place super clean and least crowded as compared to other tourist places in Delhi. There is no entry charge, just a nominal parking fee to be paid if you are visiting here by your own vehicle. The complete building is made in the structure of an open book which symbolises our constitution. You can find wax statues or several incidents of history and statues of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in his office. You can also find a robotic statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar giving a speech standing on a stage. It seems like it's for real. You can also find a meditation hall for Buddha Ji followers, where you can sit for sometime and meditate. Overall the place is a must visit and is well maintained. Just a small request, please leave this place as clean as it is now, if you ever plan to visit.

I discovered this really interesting museum in Delhi while walking by..... The building's outside is so pretty(it's in a book shape front the side view), and when you go in, it's super neat and organized. What caught my attention the most were the statues – they looked real and told stories about the past. I found out that the museum is close to a metro station, which is great for getting there easily. The best part? It's completely free to visit! I took a tour, and even though the museum isn't huge, I got to learn quite a bit about history in less than an hour. It's like a little hidden world with a lot to offer.

Visited on Saturday. The nearest metro station is the civil lines on the yellow metro line. The memorial is made at the last place of residence of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Such a beautiful place and well maintained. Just one request to the visitors, do ask for the guide. Guide service is free of cost and top notch! Our guide Mr. Dharmendra Bharti did a commendable job explaining Baba Saheb's life, struggles, vision and work. I think the visit would have been boring and not complete without the guides' explanation. A must visit place. Go there with an open mind and heart, be respectful and you'll learn a lot.

This place is permanently closed now. I have fond memories of this place from my childhood. It's a pity that I am unable to show this place to my kids. The security guard even told me that, there is a possibility that instead of the museum, they may built a new auditorium. It is sad

One of the best place in Delhi to go to. It's a quite place and very beautiful place. This used to be the home of Baba saheb before his death, which was converted into a museum few years back. The museum covers whole life of Baba saheb. There is a guide facility available, or you can get an app downloaded which acts as your guide. As the building is a government building, there is very less information about his fight againat casteism. There is a beautiful part in the basement where you can see the room as baba saheb kept it. It is a really good place. The canteen is also good.

The NMNH was created in 1972 as part of the celebration of the 25th year of India's independence. Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India, said that India needed such a museum "to promote environmental awareness".[1][2] After several years of development of its building and exhibits, the NMNH opened in 1978, on World Environment Day (5 June).[2] Following a negative government report in 2012 regarding the building's poor state of maintenance,[4] in July 2015, plans were made to relocate the museum to a ₹ 2.50 billion ($39.4M, €36.4M, or £25.3M as of July 2015) green-certified building at Bhairon Marg,[2] where "The zoological park is close by, [and] so are the National Crafts Museum, Purana Qila and National Science Centre."[7] Regional Museums of Natural History are located in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Gangtok, Mysuru, and Sawai Madhopur.

The absolute best place dedicated to the architect of the constitution of India Dr. Bhimrao ambedkar. A great collection of his struggles and achievements, his journey through out up and downs, from photos to statues, everything is just on point at this place, theplace is neat and clean with an indoor cafeteria. And yes this place is free, you only have to buy parking charges if you visit in a vehicle. It's a must visit place for those who recognise the importance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, one true hero of the oppressed and the weak. There's also an indoor meditation room with a beautiful white Buddha statue sitting in meditating position. I'll leave some photos below to tell rest of the story.

Seriously this is good place for those who want to know about Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. There is a lot of knowledge about Ambedkar inside the museum. It has three floors, in which the canteen on the first and on the second floor represent from Ambedkar's childhood to growing up and the works done by him have been shown through pictures, films and statues. One more good thing is it's free of cost. Must visit with friends and family, single. In 2018, a new megastructure was built and inaugurated in New Delhi was memorial dedicated to the life and contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, radical intellectual, philosopher, jurist, politician, anti-caste activist, and principal architect of the Indian Constitution.this place is also the last residence of Dr. Ambedkar and Savita Ambedkar in New Delhi. It is also referred to as the place of Mahaparinirvana, where he took his last breath on 6th December 1956. Interestingly, this was not the first time that this house was razed to be rebuilt as a memorial. The original house at 26, Alipur Road, New Delhi belonged to erstwhile Raja of Sirohi. After his resignation as the law minister in the Nehru government, Ambedkar immediately vacated his official residence at 22, Prithviraj Road in New Delhi and shifted to 26, Alipur Road on the insistence of the Raja of Sirohi, but as a tenant. He was accompanied by his wife Savita Ambedkar as well as his cook Sudama at his new residence.

The place is temporarily closed because there had been a fire couple years ago. Seems restoration is taking a while which is understandable. Also, complete restoration of a Natural History museum would require the violation of the very principles the museum would exhibit. So it's a tricky situation and needs time.

Great experience. Situated on the ring road, just 2 kilometres away from Delhi University boast the architectural marvel in the shape of an open book (the Constitution) with vast landscaped gardens. The open constitution book shaped memorial built at a cost of 100 crore rupees is an amalgamation of Modern and Buddhist architecture. Musical fountains, a replica of the Ashoka pillar at Sarnath and a 12 foot high bronze statue are some of the highlights of this complex. It was Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s residence at 26 Alipur Road, a long, L shaped two-storey building where Babasaheb had lived and died in 1956.

This used to be crown jewel of museums in Delhi. The fire 2 tears back destroyed it completely. Invaluable artefacts chronicling the vast history of Indian subcontinent were sadly lost to the flames. What's even more disheartening is the fact that in addition to the neglect which lead to the destruction of this priceless treasure the government even now is showing little enthusiasm to restore this important monument to its previous glory. Even after 3 tears the place is just mangled remains scattered hither and yon.

The museum is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his Charkha. Gandhi was a vocal advocate of Charkha and the museum has an interesting display of various types of Charkhas. It is not a very large museum and you can see all the exhibits in under 30 minutes. . he museum is housed in the garden area in the middle of Connaught Place. The building itself is a one roomed Neoclassical building that completely white. I understand that the Charkha was important tool that Gandhi thought would be a point of national rejuvenation for India. The exhibits are beautifully exhibited, but there’s not much information and to be honest, I actually didn’t learn very much.

The NMNH owes its genesis to Smt. Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister, who while considering new projects to be initiated in 1972 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of India's Independence, decided that the country needs a Museum of Natural History to depict its flora, fauna and mineral wealth to provide an out of school facility for education of children and to promote environmental awareness among the masses. The NMNH opened its doors to the public in a rented building in Mandi house on 5th June 1978, coinciding symbolically with the World Environment Day. From a single Museum located in New Delhi, the NMNH has extended its geographical range by establishing Regional Museums of Natural History (RMNH) in many parts of the Country such as Southern Region (Mysore), Central Region (Bhopal) and Eastern Region (Bhubaneswar). Two more Museums are being established in Western Region (Sawai Madhopur) and North-Eastern Region (Gangtok).

Among other things established in the museum, there are three monkeys (reflecting bad looks, bad looks and bad speech), also known as Mahatma Gandhi, near this big charkha. [3] Many other types of charkha are also displayed here. Have been done. It was inaugurated by the then BJP National President Amit Shah on 21 May 2017. [4] The ticket to enter it is Rs 20. Ticket takers are provided with a khadi handkerchief. Also, ticket holders can also get Khadi yarn garland for free. These sutamalas are manufactured by prisoners of Tihar Jail. I really appreciated the way the staffs here respect us and treat us with gratitude. There was a lady guide as Bharti who was very informative in the way she was talking about Babasaheb as if she had assimilated Babasaheb into herself. The museum is excellent, the environment is very beautiful, very peaceful If you go to Delhi, definitely visit this place. I would strongly advise all the tourists passing through Maharashtra that if you want to learn something, if you want to understand something, if you want peace of mind, then definitely visit this place.
