Excellent place. Opened just 3 months back and still some work going on. A place worth spending the whole day. The place gets prettier by the evening lights. Lake and fountains look great with evening lights. Post our visit, I have compiled all the details in the vlog and following is the link for same - https://youtu.be/SaORE-vEGqo If you like the video give it a thumbs up, comment and share. Kind Regards.

One of the parks that's absolutely my favourite. Needs to be noticed more by people. It's a fab place for picnic. There is no entry fee for anyone. Inside the park complex likes Marvel's of Mughal architecture. The details are stunning. Plus there is a botanical garden towards one end of the complex that's ful of beautiful plants. This place is impossible to explore in one day in my opinion but if there were constraints i would say min of 4-5 hrs is needed for sure.

I had a nice experience at Mehrauli's Archaeological Park Jamali Kamali. Although rather costly, the on-site cafe serves light appetisers and pizzas. However, the stunning view from the park makes it worthwhile. Overall, an excellent destination for history buffs who enjoy a picturesque environment.A lovely setting for a picnic The region is quite large, and you may go for a walk there. There are also several historical structures nearby that you can admire. This is a great place to spend time with family and friends.

A beautiful hidden gem in delhi. Covered with lush greenery. The best time to visit this place is around 8-9 am. Food is pretty average, and due to some restrictions, the food options are very limited.

This place is indeed a hidden gem in the history of Delhi and it's cast variety of monuments. Govt has indeed done a great job to create walkways, nice parks and other amenities within this complex. Got a lot of interesting monuments like Rajon ki Baoli, Jamali Kamali Tomb, etc. Large parks can be a nice picnic hangout place as well. Loved it as it is very peaceful also.

Good place to check out. It was mostly empty, people were having picnics in the park and playing around. It has a parking space too. Nothing much to look at you can admire the architecture and look around. Definitely a good spot for a picnic. No tickets required

A wonderful place beside Qutab Minar which must be on your list. Spread over 116 Sq. ft, it houses several architectural monuments from Lodi and Mamluk Dynasty of Delhi Sultanate. Jamali-kamali mosque, Several tombs of Lodhi and Delhi Sultanate period, Rajia Sultana Baoli, Metcalfe Ridge, all adorn the huge garden. Ideal for romance as well as picnic with groups of friends or family.

Located in the back drop of the great Qutub minar, this place is a hidden gem. Many places to explore. The Tomb of Balwan, remains of different monuments are really good. No ticket to enter, but to reach at Sand cafe , you have to spend 30 bucks. The cafe is good and acts as a point of rest. Carry a water bottle and wear shoes. Two parkings are there. Worth a visit for the history lovers.

Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an archaeological area spread over 200 acre in Mehrauli, Delhi, adjacent to Qutub Minar World Heritage site and the Qutb complex. It consists of over 100 historically significant monuments. It is the only area in Delhi known for 1,000 years of continuous occupation, and includes the ruins of Lal Kot built by Tomar Rajputs in 1060 CE, making it the oldest extant fort of Delhi, and architectural relics of subsequent period, rule of Khalji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty, Lodhi dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, and the British Raj. Now some reality, the place is not maintained by any authority anymore, some places are just like dumping grounds for the residents residing in there, yes people actually live there. There are kids playing cricket all over the place. There are a few guards here and there but they are not bothered by whatever is going on there. However, the place is a must visit as there are so many things to see and experience from the old era. From photography point of view, there are many places. I would advise you to go there as early as possible so that you won't find a bunch of kids playing cricket there or maing tiktoks. Some were even playing PUBG in the tombs.

Located on the way to Qutub Minar from the eponymous metro station, it is an approximately 60 - 65 acre pary containing some heritage structures, most notably the tomb of Mohd Quli Khan. The area is reasonably well-maintained. On a weekend one can see families enjoying picnics there. On weekdays one xan normally come across school and college children chilling out. There is no entrance fee. The place has a lot of trees, lawns and flowerbeds, and one can spend quite a bit of time, even catch a couple of hours of sleep.

One of the hidden gems of tourist spots in Delhi. Mehrauli archaeological park is walkable from Qutub minar. You'll find rose garden, Balban tomb, Jamali Kamali mosque and plenty other spots unearthed at one of the largest archeological findings. The park is well maintained perfect for evening walks or to spend some quiet quality time.

Visited the archeological park for the 1st time. You may get confused as to where the entry is. You need to enter through the gate which reads .. DDA sports complex. Go straight in you reach the parking. Go straight and turn left through the way which reads archeological park. There is a parking available here. You can walk down to the cafe stone available there. Go up the stairs and there is a small tomb with the backdrop of Qutab Minar. You need shoes since the area isn’t smooth. There are small parks where you can walk and play. No entry ticket No parking charges You may miss the entry so be sure to check out the signboards There are fountains inside and the place lots up in the evenings It’s not very well kept You can carry food, water, games inside

It is one of the must-visit destination for anyone interested in exploring Delhi's rich cultural heritage and experiencing its timeless beauty firsthand. The ruins of grand buildings and the rugged terrain of Arrival hills, both these human-made and natural marvels leave you in awe when you visit. This is more than just a park; it's an open-air museum, a photographer's paradise, and a tranquil escape within the bustling city. Some of the best things to see include the Tomb of Mohammed Quli Khan, the Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb, the Tomb of Khan Shahid, Masjid Sohailwali, Rajon ki Baolii, Boating Site and The Cafe Stone or just wandering around the well kept gardens and grounds of the park. You can get a pretty view of Qutub Minar from here also. Wear Lightweight Shoes, Carry your Water Bottle, Have some snacks and just chill exploring this superb place spread over 250 acres.

I really like to visit this park. As it's very big so i can easily roam inside it. Best park for picnic and rest. All monuments present there are also beautiful. You should must visit this place you like walking or spend time alone in parks. There are many beautiful flowers and dogs present there. They should have a free public toilet inside the park so people won't have any problem while enjoying in the park. They have swings for children and open gym also for everyone. It's free for everyone. Anyone can come here and enjoy.

Nowadays there is provision for cycle riding, pillion riding so that one can pass through. There are several gardens, parks ,open fields inside the sites.

Half of the structures are under construction. Only the gardens are well kept. Baoli is full of dirty water. Directions are confusing and not clearly marked. Balban tomb is closed for public but a makeshift madarasa is operational there. The entry is inconspicuous and the road was muddy due to lack of concrete road and proper drainage. DDA and ASI work is disappointing considering the value of the history that lies here.

Mehrauli Archaeological Park is recently renovated. I visited it in Feb 2024. It is clean and green. It has public washroom. Good place with greenery and up/down terrain style landscape. Visiting the tomb and lake area has ticket of ₹30 per person. You can have a good view of Qutub minar. There is a cafe/restaurant as well - The Cafe Stone. Good spot near Qutub minar metro.

This was the most incredibly awesome experience. We walked up and down the ruins, for miles and miles.. Without getting tired at all. Some parts are well maintained, others desperately need to be kept viable. This is a treasure house of history, where the broken forts, tombs, walls call out to the visitors. The wind suddenly blows and whispers tales of valour, of glory, of intrigues and plots.. The government needs to put aside more funds and detail experts to maintain the structures. Some of the tombs and other priceless structures require desperate renovation.

Beautiful place. The place has been renovated very nicely. There are nominal entry fees to keep maintaining the property. One can do a picnic in the gardens. The Metcalfe Guest House and the Dome looks beautiful and renovated nicely. The water bodies are not very clean but work in progress and they are soon going to start boating also. The newly opened Stone Cafe has good food and lovely open space to sit. It is a great place for couples, families and friends. Must visit on your list. If you are a jogger u can get a monthly pass for jogging or walking inside the park. It has an amazing view with Qutab Minar at the backdrop.

A hidden gem in Delhi, right next to the Qutb Minar complex. Ample parking space, and fast becoming a popular spot for all those who like to walk around historical places. Wear comfortable shoes, carry water and food for a day out. Plenty of monuments to explore in this place. Only one spot is ticketed... Priced at INR 30 ...very reasonable.

Located in the national capital of India, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an important historical site covering over 200 sq km area. The park is most famous for being the only area in Delhi to have 1000 regular years of occupation. Holding one of the highest cultural distinction in Delhi, the park is home to the worn-out tombs of many significant historical figures including Balban, Quli Khan, and Sufi poet Jamali. The archaeological park is also famous for housing the stepwell, 'Rajon ki Baoli'. Along with being packed with the most prized relics of the medieval era, the park is home to numerous plants and trees that add to its natural charm. To the delight of bird watchers, several rare aviary creatures also dwell in the branches of the park's trees. In the heart of these trees is a beautiful lake that offers a mesmerizing view of the sunset. Mehrauli Archaeological Park proves to be an excellent source of recreation for people of all ages. The educational aspect of ancient ravaged monuments entices young minds while the organic beauty of several gardens crowded with thick rose bushes bewitches the adults. Bustling with school expeditions and family picnics on the busiest of days, the park brims with a sense of an inexplicable nostalgia. Regardless of what part you decide to explore, you are met with a wave of history and heritage. A subtle reminder of ancient art and medieval culture, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park is no less than a paradise for every history enthusiast.

Mehrauli Archeological Park is adjacent to Qutub Minar that's why famous for Pre wedding shoots as it shows Qutub Minar in background along with it's own historical monuments of different era. Jamali Kamali Mazjid, Tomb of Quli Khan, Rajaon Ki Baoli and many other unnamed structures. The place needs beautification, lighting for evening, public amenities, etc than this place would become hot favorite for tourists.

Its a nice place to see the earliest buildings of the Mughal era in India. The building date back to the 1500s(Humayun’s time). It is very pretty to look at but unfortunately the park isn’t very maintained. Also couples use this park to make out and be indecent in this park. The deeper you walk in the more people you will find smoking weed or make out in a very explicit manner. Not recommend for families.

The Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an area of archaeological research has is just being renovated by the Archaeological Survey of India. What the organisation have done so far is pretty good and it’s still free to enter. The site has been used by various empires that have ruled from Delhi from prehistory, through the Rajputs and Delhi Sultanates, right up to the British Empire. Even though the site has not been laid out perfectly for tourism, much of the major attractions can already be reached by well paved walkways. Some of the best things to see include the Tomb of Mohammed Quli Khan, the Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb, the Tomb of Khan Shahid, Masjid Sohailwali or just wandering around the well kept gardens and grounds of the park

Horrible place. Don't go with family. Today a boy was abusing on peoples and he has a knife in his hand. I complained guards for the same and also told them why you allow criminals in the park but they didn't respond well. Very unsafe place. Delhi police should take strict action on this.

(Translated by Google) I have been to this park several times. I must admit that little by little they are putting things in order: taking out the garbage, planting new flowers, bushes and trees, but, unfortunately, ordinary Indians do not always appreciate it. In short ... I advise everyone, but do not litter! Please! See you in Mehrauli Park!

Over the years, INTACH has restored some 40 monuments in the Park and added signages, heritage trails, and sandstone trail-markers. Besides this the PARK NEEDS A LOT OF MAINTENANCE. AND MOST OF THE SITES ARE COLSED FOR UNKNOWN TIME..

The Mehrauli Archaeological Park is a historic park located in Mehrauli spread over 200 acres and is home to several ancient monuments, including the Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb. The Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb is one of the most significant monuments in the park. It was built in 1528-29 by a Sufi saint named Jamali and is believed to be the burial site of the saint and his companion Kamali. The mosque and tomb are known for their intricate Mughal-style architecture, which features detailed carvings and intricate designs. Over the centuries, the Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb fell into disrepair and was eventually abandoned. In the early 20th century, the Archaeological Survey of India took over the site and began restoring it. The restoration work was completed in the 1950s, and the site was opened to the public as part of the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Today, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park is a popular tourist attraction and a significant cultural landmark in Delhi. It is home to many other ancient monuments, including the Qutub Minar, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is also an important site for archaeological research, and excavations are regularly conducted there to uncover more of the area's rich history.

If you want to spend the day like a picnic with your family or friends or anyone, it's probably the best place in Delhi. Reasons: 1. It isn't as crowded as Lodi Gardens. 2. There are no entry tickets. 3. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy without being disturbed. Although there'll be a few couples who don't understand the meaning of a "Public Place". But that number is very less here, compared to other places. There are only 3 places worth seeing: 1. Dovecot Metcalfe's Boathouse: I would recommend sitting opposite to it in front of the lake. You'll get the best view of the boathouse along with the Qutub Minar. 2. Kamali Mosque: It's nice, the architecture is good, although not in a great condition. 3. Rajon ki Baoli: It is dirty, so it's just for seeing. Won't spend more than 10 minutes there. There is a cafe inside: Cafe Stone. It's very popular in Instagram reels as the cafe with the view of Qutub. It's a bit highly priced, but not that high. Although the options are very limited. I've added the menu with it as well.

Best place to spend your weekend in warm sunshine. Quit and peaceful place. Historical buildings are well preserved.

An important place for delhi' heritage being destroyed by DDA. The new cafe was unnecessary and only done to turn the heritage site into cash machine. The idea of heritage conservation has failed here. It looked like the Park has been converted to Parking for elites who can come and enjoy the beautiful cafe with and post it on insta for extra validation. So, if you one of them. This is for you. The food is ok. Waiting period is huge. The resources are limited. Have some respect for our heritage. Also the toilet is worst. The ASI should Take over this place from DDA. 🤲
