As many reviews mention it is a scam (as well as most of the other Emporiums on this road). The prices are too high and the auto drivers who take you here get a commission, even if you don't buy anything. Only reason I'd recommend visiting is if you work a deal with the auto driver to sit through a 10 minute sales pitch, not buy anything, then have him take you somewhere else in the city free. But please, avoid this store and the others in the area. It's more expensive than it should be and the sell is HARD. Also there's a fake government tourism office right next door so don't give them your money to book anything either... They're not shown on Google maps for obvious reasons so I'm just leaving this here to hopefully help someone.

This is not the shop to go to. People walk around CP pretending to be helpful locals and luring you away from CP to get here (happened to us under the pretence we were going to the better known and better reviewed government craft cottage) but no big deal, you know it’s happening but though I’d give them a chance anyway. Unfortunately the suits are rubbish (bought one) terrible cut and very very poor tailoring, like it was done by someone for the first time learning of a YouTube vid or something. Fabric is nice though so they get a 1* for that. Very overpriced as well. Like, really overpriced. Should not be paying anything there for the dire product. Also the wife got some sari thing which was 10x the price of anywhere else. Recommend going to lajpat nagar market instead. Way more fun and better prices. If you’re there right now and the taxi drivers are saying lajpat is closed, they’re lying, walk up the street a bit and grab any other one. Good luck.

Great place to buy souvenirs, custom made suits, tea, spices and rugs. The suit place was awesome. I got a beautiful tailored suit for a reasonable price made in 24 hours and delivered to my hotel. PS. Learn how to bargin prior to going here though!

This is good shopping palace for the tourist. There are all types of items, like clothes, handicraft, gifts item, carpets and other things. All staffs are very cooperative. Only there is a program for parking. There is not good space for parking. The road is very busy.

Elegant place for those who want to spend more ,price start from thousand rupees ,perhaps you have to bargain. Do not listen to those sindicate from auto oto to the man on the street who seems so nice to give you direction. When you want to go to Palika Bazar, they will say not open today because of festival n pursuade you to go to that mall saying it is govt . Mall n cheaper actually it is not. Be smart.

A place where you can pick up items such as figurines in one shop, and textile in another. The figurines are nicely made, albeit slightly more expensive than other places, which is to be expected given the location of the shop. The textile shop has a nice variety of clothing items, and there's a lot of flexibility when it comes to what you want to buy. You can even have clothes special made for you, which is a good service to provide. Especially the textile shop was great, the figurine shop was a step behind, but not a bad shop by any means.

The place is where the tuk-tuk will take you for a commission from what you spend there. The owner or manager Kush will make sure to sell you on the quality of fabrics and the exclusivity of tailored suit for a reasonable for a westerner price. You pay upfront, of course, then when you go back to pick up the suit, he'll sell you on more stuff even when you discover the suit has a stain that doesn't come out and the quality of stitching of the tailored shirts is not the perfect one you were sold on. When you negotiate a refund for a dry cleaner's bill for the stain he promises to deliver the money by a certain time to your hotel, however, the money arrives half an hour later than the deadline. Although the fabrics are good, the experience was dampened by all the "This-Is-India" circumstances around it. I would not recommend the same day tailoring, as the quality of workmanship suffers from the rushed order, the order with a few days given for the work had better turnout.

Not cheap. Expensive actually. Drivers that take you there are on commision. Found much better prices where the goods are made. Very profit driven. They know it too. Preying on the uninformed. Beware, many organised tours go there. They'd do better if prices were fairer.

SCAM SHOP! TOURISTS BEWARE! Overpriced tourist trap scam where drivers are paid to take you. Had one of their drivers follow me for a km on foot and in his taxi.

BEWARE. Tourist trap, total scam. More than 200% markup on items you can easily buy elsewhere. They will follow you around, pressure you, and try to convince you they have one of a kind items. Avoid at all costs. And if your driver insists you should go here, know that they’re getting a commission to do so. Don’t fall for it. Go to the real Dilli Haat, Hauz Khas, or any of the other wonderful places Delhi has to offer.

The driver I had took me here total rip off and high pressure sales. Wish I would have read the reviews first. They try to seek you everything too. Walk you around to each area and there is a new pitch. I have some gifts to bring back now, over priced for sure.

Massive scam and trap. People seem friendly on the streets by acting like they are students and trying to help out westerners. He then lies and says Connaught place has a lot of pick pocketers where it is so unsafe that the only place to shop is here. Then on the way out the same driver says all restaurants are closed except the ones he knows. Very quickly realized everyone lies to you. Places like this ultimately kill their tourism industry. India government should do better. The rest of my life I will tell people to not come to New Delhi.

Also unsere Erfahrung war tatsächlich sehr gut.

AVOID AT ALL COST! Got a suit made here after being led here by a “local”, way overcharged for the area and materials. They have agents in tuktuks and in the streets trapping unsuspecting tourists. Overall, do your shopping in Jaipur.

Waste of time. Non stop harassment when looking. And the items we ordered weren’t what was ordered/paid for. Paid for silk and some cheap (poorly cut and sewed nylon material) was delivered. Things were swapped around and outright disappointed. Complete waste of time. And money. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. This is a blatant tourist rip off. The bazaars are more trustworthy. And cheaper.
