My family and I recently visited and experienced Dhaba. Although the food and service were good, the prices were outrageous and unfair for what was provided. The original bill was for $660 USD for a few appies, six thalis and a few drinks. We had little warning of the cost, and trusted the team. Fortunately, the manager reduced the price by 25%, but the cost for each person was still around $100 dollars for a 90 minute experience. The space was also not great with no windows and this made the overall experience uncomfortable. Bathrooms were legit though! Not recommended for those that do not like to burn cash, but if you have cash check it out.

Dhaba is an old restaurant, serving North indian food in Punjabi setup. The whole look of the restaurant is Punjab. There's a truck chasis and a village look of Punjab. Food is good, specially Balti meat, butter chicken, bhartha etc. There's live Indian music, singer singing old Hindi songs. Service is good too. The only irritant is it's congested and small. Better make a reservation here.

Great food and nice ambiance, but a little too expensive in my opinion. There are much better options for a more reasonable price. However, if you have tourists coming to visit from outside of India, this is a good spot to take them for authentic North Indian food since hygiene and cleanliness are maintained very well.

THE ORIGINAL DHABA ORIGINATED ONI IN 1986 I remember eating there since my childhood, in fact had a chance to eat more often when I used to work at The Claridges, one of the only restaurants in India, maintained their charm with quality of food and service for the past 36 years and is still busy and favorably  for North Indian Punjabi food. Time to time they also call chefs who specialize in Punjabi Cuisine and do Punjabi theme festival. Lunch and dinner Signature dishes Tandoori chicken, Balti Meat, Dal Makhani, Pindi Chole & more.

It's as close to a Punjabi style highway diner as it can be. The ambience is totally rustic with all the elements of a Dhaba including a Truck chassis. The lanterns, blinking lights, wooden bench type furniture and wall decals. Since this place has opened it has aeev d the most delicious Punjabi food in the city. Its getting better with time as the wine ages and matures.Chef Manpreet Singh with his talented team has created a lovely menu at this Lohri which includes dishes from the homes and villages of Punjab. The unmatchable and iconic dishes like the Dal Dhaba, Balti Meat,Mutton Boti and many others are always here to stay. Taste is consistently the same and getting even better each tine. Service is great and the server's even remember you by names and the place where you sat last time you visited.Wow..this is why people flock back to this place again and again. #travelblog #foodblogher #foodreview #bestindianfood

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece. The flavors were exquisite, and it's clear that the chefs here are incredibly skilled. Whether it was the appetizers, main courses, or desserts, each bite was a burst of culinary excellence. The presentation of the dishes was also top-notch, adding to the overall dining experience. The menu had a great variety to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. To top it all off, the restaurant's ambiance was lovely, with tasteful decor and just the right amount of lighting to create a cozy and intimate setting. In conclusion, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. It's a perfect place for a special occasion or simply a memorable meal. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their delectable offerings.

Dhaba - when it comes to highway food or punjabi food, Dhaba is the only place that serves consistently good food. Over the past 30 years they have been pioneers in dhaba food. This lohri they got Chef Manpreet Singh Tikka and he has got amazing new food for us. He got dishes which were part of Punjab( before 1947). The palak and bathua moong dal saag was outstanding and so were the desi lamb chops. Cooking New Zealand lamb chops is no art but cooking Indian chops definetly requires right skill. The simple humble dal was amazing and the shalgam meat was brilliant. The company of Chef vivek rana, Bobby, Sakshi and the food, - I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Shailender ji's hospitality was incredible. Thank you Team Dhaba! Can't wait to see you guys again..

Pure play food review, it's average. Not worth your penny . We entered on a weekend at 10 in night. Mint chutney was probably out of stock so they added water to it and diluted it, it became more like a dal then chutney. Unfortunately they also forgot to ask Salt.😊😊 Food Bhatti Murg is like chicken 🍗 tandoori in an ordinary restaurant. Main course butter chicken is served in a clay pot. Clay pot since is cold, it absorbs heat of gravy and what you get is just lukewarm gravy. You don't enjoy it Decor wise it's good, since foods average no point trying it

The food quality was exceptional, offering an authentic taste of Punjabi cuisine that surpassed my expectations. After hearing rave reviews about Dhaba, I finally decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you, it far exceeded my expectations! From its mesmerizing ambience to its exquisite menu, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem worth discovering. Firstly, the moment I stepped inside, I was enchanted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of an authentic Punjabi village. The rustic decor, vibrant hues, and traditional music created a unique dining experience that transported me to the heart of India. Now let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Dhaba's menu offers an extensive range of flavorful Punjabi dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. From the traditional favorites like butter chicken and paneer tikka to lesser-known specialties like sarson da saag and makki di roti, every dish is prepared with precision and perfection. The spices and flavors in each dish were robust and well-balanced, showcasing the expertise of the talented chefs. The dishes were cooked to perfection, with the meats tender and succulent, and the vegetarian options bursting with fresh, natural flavors. Do yourself a favor and book a table at Dhaba – your taste buds will thank you!

Most of the time the chef is right here, greeting the costumers, so you can make personal request, like tourist friendly food, low in spices. Here my fiance and I learned that even if you ask a dish for yourself, it will be placed in the center, with a separate dish for you to serve. Actually, it´s always a good idea to share your Indian food, because the flavors are intense.

A five-star dining experience that keeps me coming back for more!

Authentic dhaba food in a 5-star hotel. We went in for a family dinner with people of 3 generations, so you can imagine how difficult it could be to satisfy everyone's food requirements. But everyone was truly satisfied with the food and the experience. Food quality is superb, and the serving size is good too. Their Bhutte-ke-kabab, Tandoori pineapple, Gulab Jamun, and Kulfi were the highlight. You definitely won't regret going there.

Staff is not courteous, it's like they are giving us a favor by serving us food. Appetizers are spicy, butter chicken pretty standard. Balti meat - really good. There are only 5-6 table setting and half of them were empty on a Friday night (guess yourself how was the mood) and they made us wait for good 20 mins for the table which was already vacant. Nope, do not recommend...

The food is nice but the person sitting at the reception is very rude, we requested politely to click a picture to which he did not respond twice by plainly ignoring us at our faces and then went to the desk and started using his mobile. I mean he could've just refused if he didn't want to click but he chose to give the customers 'the look'. Very rude and unprofessional. He behaved like we ate for free or owe him something.

One of my favourite restaurants since childhood. For a change I did not require any booking of table. I liked the concept of Live Singing in Dhaba restaurant. The singer was nice. The service was amazing. The complimentary papad’s were awesome. Dal Makhani, Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan were delicious. Best was the service, after reaching the restaurant and paying off the bill it took only about 35mins which is high class hospitality. Everything was extraordinary. The Khatha Meeta drink was prepared brilliantly. I would recommend people to visit more and enjoy their hospitality.

Dhaba is located inside The Hotel Claridges New Delhi. Food ordered was yummy and portion served was in good quantity price of each of dishes being served is too much on the high side. Nothing special to mention about service. Ambiance inside the Dhaba is given look like a village. Have a glance at Menu before you order your food.

Best North Indian Punjabi food. Baingan Bharata, Amritsari Aloo Wadi, Black Maa ki Daal , Nana Pushina Paratha are the best in the world. The preparations have been like this from years and no change in quality. This is the best place to have a good lunch or dinner with family and friends. The Dhaba is inside Claridges hotel. One should have food here while visiting New Delhi. A must.

Went to Dhaba at Claridges after ages and it's still the good ole vibes . Took our family friends for lunch here and had a fantastic time. Mr.Sanjay Chopra took really good care of us and also made sure that our table was held for a long time as we were running late. Dhaba has that old world charm which is really nostalgic and the interiors look like a dhaba. We ordered quite a bit of food - Mutton Burrah , Chicken Malai Tikka , Keema Kaleji , Balti Meat , Dal Dhaba (Dal Makhni) , Butter Chicken , Jeera rice , Butter Naans and Garlic naans. The Mutton Burrah here was fantastic. 5 pieces come in a portion . The mutton was super soft , juicy, tender and the marinade was just super delicious. It was a really melt in your mouth and the flavours were bomb. Dal Dhaba was as good as any top tier dal makhni should be , one of the very best in my personal opinion. The Balti Meat is their signature dish and it truly is superb. 4 pieces come in one portion and is served in a Balti style dish. The Meat again was super tender , perfectly cooked and really juicy. Gravy was amazing with really rich , deep flavours which is really enjoyable. The Keema Kaleji was another banger and really well made. A good load of spice and perfectly cooked mutton organs equates to a great dish , which this was. One of the best keema Kaleji I have had in quite sometime. The butter chicken was fantastic aswell , like extremely good. Boneless pieces of chicken with a spicy , tangy and a little sweetness to the end is what this gravy had which I really enjoyed. For desserts we had Badam Halwa , Gulab Jamun and Kulfi and all of them were really good. Deepa served us very well and Mr.Chopra took care of us the whole time. Dhaba is truly an iconic restaurant and has amazing food and top notch service. It was really an amazing experience and the food is 5/5 aswell as the service is 5/5. Our total bill was around ₹17,500 after discount and taxes.

The food and service were good, with the prices being high, as can be expected when eating within a posh hotel. Although I requested spicy, the dal wasn’t spicy at all, perhaps to cater to the foreign clientele. What was surprising was that even the green chillis served on the side weren’t spicy, a first for me in India. Would I come out of my way to eat here when there are so many choices in Delhi? Probably not, but for a choice within a hotel, I’d say not bad...

I had a booking at 8 pm which they confirmed but at 7:50 pm they called to convey, that my booking had a 45 min waiting. The person at the counter was extremely unprofessional and didn't have the courtesy to even apologize. Pls do not go to this restaurant, there are better place with better Ambience, service and food in delhi. Not worth it.

Disappointing experience on a Saturday evening out with family. While the ambience is nice and rustic- the staff were quite untrained, sullen and couldn't care less. Food taste was below average and at that price point and location- frankly one should stick to other options. Well the rock in the cake experience for me was a server clearing off my plate mid meal- in his hurry to get the table ready for the next set of customers :(

(Translated by Google) The best Indian food we had on our India tour. However, the prices are very salted even for European standards. We paid more than double to triple that in any other restaurant. The atmosphere is great. The very friendly staff turn off on demand also the much too cold air conditioning off or down. Highly recommended is the chicken tikka, which nowhere in India tasted as good as there.

I happened to visit this place last evening for dinner. I have been to their outlet in Hyderabad & I knew what I should be expecting from them, it was supposed to be the perfect choice. The ambiance was good for a restaurant in a metro station - exceeds expectations. The place was beautifully lit! We ordered sarso ka saag from the winter special menu with the makai ki roti both of which failed me. The saag was replaced when I mentioned the same to the manager but again the taste was bad. We did not eat it at all & we weren't even charged for it! Good thing - the manager needs to be applauded for it. He was super active. The other items that we ordered were - punjabi kadhi & their specialty in chicken, both of which failed me. However, the chicken was the star of the evening. Even after paying a bill of approximately 2300 we were dissatisfied & unhappy. Keeping the prices in mind, the quality definitely needs to be looked upon.

Where every taste tells a story. For the love of delicious food. Sensory enjoyment opened up. Your culinary adventure awaits. Less cost. High quality. We are always here to serve you. Life is short, make it sweet. A taste you will remember. Life is dull without good food. Get the best or nothing.

Amazing feel of a real dhaba and a culinary delight. The food ingredients are well sourced and nicely cooked to give a great time to our taste buds. We visited for lunch and to our suprise, the chef personally attended to us. The deal was too good to refuse : ₹1795 + taxes per person, as much as you can eat across the menu. This was only for lunch and I tell you, it was a feast! Thank you Dhaba and wish you all the very best.

👍👍 Absolutely love their rice combos. Paneer rice is my all time favourite. Great option for dinner, if you work nearby. If you're looking for a place for quick bites, then you need to visit this place.
