Capital Kitchen is the multi cuisine restaurant at Taj Palace hotel which is 24 hrs open and have buffet as well. The food is good but the taste and cuisine is kept mostly keeping in mind overseas guests. It's a mix of few items of everything. It has pool on one side and that's a treat to watch. Overall it's just one of the restaurants in a five star hotel.

Probably the most cuisine wise diversified and taste wise sumptuous restaurant in the capital city. Be it south Indian or Italian, regional or continental they must've hand picked the best chefs of the country. Just pick anything from its lavish menu and for sure you won't be disappointed. Just makes the 'Taj' experience even more prosperous.

Delicious food and amazing ambience is all I look for when I go out. I opted for buffet so cant say about portions. Rosemary chicken, pudina paneer tikka and salad is a must try. You can sit outdoor with your plate and have the food with beautiful view. Would have given 5 out 5 if I would have got the prompt service as we all can expect superb hospitality from taj.

So in the Qmin App I noticed that they have a Mother's Day Special Meal Box for delivery from Captial Kitchen of Taj Palace and decided to order this. They had 2 options Veg and Non Veg and in those there were 2 size options - meal for 2 or meal for 4 . We ordered the Meal for 4 Non-Veg and got a 25% discount via our Credit Card and it costed us β‚Ή3500 which is very very good for the quality, quantity and taste of the items being sent . We got the item delivered perfectly on time . The Mother's Day Special Meal included - 2 starters , 2 Main Course , 2 Sides , 2 desserts , 1 Mug and a special Gift for mother's Day (Kajal). They also had a discount code from a Makeup Brand which was for mother's day. The food was - 1) Chicken , Arugula and Pine Nut Salad - This was a wonderful light salad with fresh Arugula as the base topped with Chicken , Pinenuts and Granny Smith Apple . There was a side of thick ranch dressing which can be used as another topping and both with and without it , was just awesome ! The taste was great . 5/5 2) Wild Salmon Galletes - This was like a small Salmon patty . It was really tasty, very different flavours , mild yet a bit of herbs and spices would come through. This dish is supposed to be eaten hot. It comes along with a Quinoa Salasa (which should be cold) and was a perfect pairing with the Salmon as it was light and super refreshing. Again the Quinoa Salsa was also full of flavours . 5/5. 3) Vegetable Paella - Another fantastic dish . This was a perfectly cooked Paella with a rich yellow colour . It had beans , Bell peppers and tomatoes and the Veggies were cooked perfectly aswell. Wonderful flavours in the rice and was delicious overall. Another 5/5. 4) Hassel Backed Potatoes - A full potato sliced up and served with a delicious herb butter , this was another fantastic dish. The potato was cooked very well and that rich and not too creamy herb butter was just fantastic . Such good flavours , real comfort food. 5/5 again . 5) Chia Crusted River Sole - This dish was disappointing honestly. It looked great and was served with a Chickpea Puree and Cherry Tomatoes but the fish was very bland and no real flavours even after adding salt. Rating this 3/5 cause the fish was well cooked otherwise. 6) Roast Lamb - Fabulous dish and the star of the night . The Lamb pieces were fantastic and had a wonderful Pomegranate Glaze on it , a little sweet but because of the inherent flavour of the Lamb it was just a perfect combo. Delicious and lip smacking dish . Perfectly cooked lamb and the flavours were just perfect. Dish of the night and 5/5. 7) Chocolate Hazelnut Torte - It is their signature Chocolate cake and was topped off with mango chunks . It was a nice cake , spongey but nothing special. Rating this 3.5/5 8) Berry Crumble - Absolutely amazing dish with a huge portion ! This was very nice , decently sweet , perfectly cooked cookie , nice and tart berry jam , a thick vanilla sauce and the combination of the flavours was just perfect. Rating this 5/5 . The meal was also served with bread rolls and butter. Taj's packaging is fantastic , all recyclable packaging , very well packed and no spillage whatsoever . They always deliver on or even before time showing punctuality . The difference from ordering a 5 star compared to even any high end standalone restaurant is really apparent on the packaging and timing. Taste was great for most things though a few things weren't upto the mark , but the quantity for the price was fantastic. Infact half the meal was enough for 3 people so absolutely worth it. Rating my experience 5/5 because of the overall experience.

Went there for a quick meal and ordered gosht biryani. The service took long but the biryani was delicious and enough for two people. Staff is friendly and promt to respond. The place is expensive but the experience was great. Paid 1770 for 1 biryani. Was served complimentary dessert (kala jamun). Great for an experience.

Capital Kitchen was a huge disappointment as we went there yesterday for dinner. The dry snacks were horrible, spicy and cold. No attention to detail and Chef never showed up on our table as it's a Taj property. Dinner menu was okish and mutton curry was below average as pieces were hard. I wouldn't rate this place et all as it sucks. The restaurant is small, waiters are terribly hard pressed and confused, service is slow and pathetic, Chef remains embedded in his kitchen...next time only K3 JW Marriott as usual. POOR SHOW TAJ PALACE DELHI.

I visited this place with my family as we wanted to celebrate the lunch time together. like the ambience and feel and thought of having the same while having the food but when i tasted dragon prawns it had a foul smell which honestly was not expected by Taj at least. It was replaced with the other one and honestly it was cooked but the taste was bland. I asked the chef to tell what can I have from the main course from your magic hands and honestly when it was served on my table I was shocked it was lady finger ( Bhindi) , who serve that . It was really bad . Dal makhani don't have the taste. experience was pathetic . Then thought to have sweetdish and honestly from that day I have stopped eating ras malai. Credit goes to taj. Coffee was nice and one star for that Cheers

The staff could be better at serving drinks or coffee, but besides that, no complaints at all. Food is delicious, and there is so much choice. The show cook chefs are really helpful at describing what they are making. The buffet selections are amazing. We really enjoyed dining here.

Started with a stale complimentary plate of papad and days old lemon with a messy bowl of chutney. Lost apetite in the first 5min of the experience. Which follow with average tasting food and average service. So not a Taj experience :( But we ordered Al a cart. I’m certain the buffet would be a way more satisfying experience.

I'm always excited to dine at Taj Palace. Capital kitchen offers limited but sumptuous multi cuisine food. Nice ambience and delightful live food counters. Mr Prabhakar Jha served us well.

Average quality of food if compared with other 5 star restaurants. Expected better than others but can’t qualify as regards the taste & items in buffet are concerned. Hospitality is good .

Taj Palace has been around for the longest time. Its a part of Delhi, its people, so many people have celebrated numerous different occasions there. So its always lovely to go to Taj Palace. This time I went to try the Capital Kitchen, impressed by its huge buffet with both ready dishes as well as live cooking counters making fresh assorted Indian breads, pasta, french fries, kebabs. They had both international cuisine as well as some Regional Indian cuisine as well. I am a Pan Asian fan and so I started with the Pan Asian buffet where I specially liked the Lamb in Thai Red Curry. Also after talking to the Chef he kindly made me a fresh bowl of Ramen. I really enjoyed the whole buffet. But I must mention their Cheese Cake which I found to be good as some of the best I have had the base was the right texture and taste as was the cheese filling. Its no easy to get it right, as I have had many bad cheese cakes too. But the Chefs here know their stuff. Another favorite was the South Indian Prawn Curry, so delicious! I had to have two helpings. The service was outstanding. Really enjoyed being taken care of by the Chef, Waiters and Manager.

Was here to celebrate a special occasion, ordered their signature pizza which was served after 1 hour only to find it was as hard as a brick. Had the appetite but not the patience. Quietly left the place for a local restaurant for some sumptuous digging later.

After disappointing experience in in Murya's Pavilion on Friday, we were left with no option but to visit Taj Palace, next door. Capital Kitchen was nothing better. 35 percent of the restaurant was busy and reaming tables dirty. Most impressive was the Hostess, she curtly said that she will only allow us to get in only after we give answer to her question. After giving all our details, she took us inside- looked around to find cleanest dirty table and then took us there, hurriedly removed dirty glasses and one small plate and ordered us to sit down. When we demanded table to be cleaned she through two minus on table and without calling any one went away. With my patience running little short I called the captain, he was polite , he apologised and cleaned the table. Even waiter was very courteous. We ordered the food, chicken malai Kabab, Paneer tikka masala & Indian bread plus a Sandwich for me. Food was ok. As expected guest who had Indian food had bad stomach next morning. Service was good. Bill for three Items and bread was nearly Rs. 9000/-. Very sad status of two renowned chains in Delhi where they are earning money. What must be happing other cities? God bless Indian Hotels. &

Average taste of food plus very limited options in buffet. No options in beverages. Hotels near aerocity have much much larger spread in buffet that tastes much better n in better prices as well. Not satisfied at all. The only thing i like is the bread they serve with soup

Worst buffet in delhi ncr Pathetic food, poor service, no variety at all. They only have 4 starters, pizza, pasta and main course with some pastry’s in the buffet costing 2500+ tax. main course items were so bad in taste, overall only pasta was good rest all items were either bland, or bad in taste. Chinese, sushi, ice creams, indian deserts was missing. Soup was the worst i have ever had If you want to have good buffet jw marriott and pullman are far better than this pathetic place, even itc Maurya buffet is so much better than this, please avoid or you will have to face disappointment. It deserves 0 star but there is no option. πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Nice and friendly staff. Very tasty food. And COVID restrictions are maintained to the utmost care. They are open only for breakfast and dinner. They aren't serving lunch here yet after stopping it due COVID. They even have cozy outdoor seating by the poolside.

Besides ambience nothing was worth there, neither food nor the drinks. Everything was absolute bakwas and overpriced. Only the residents of hotel were allowed in the garden. What is this behaviour? I will never ever go there again.

There’s a Chef Ravi Bhatia he makes the most amazing fluffy white eggs omelette with a touch of Indian spices...that’s really one of kind ...also Chef Mani’s dosas are authentic South Indian treat!

Nasim was amazing. He made us feel comfortable, he was courteous and he radiated warmth. The food was good and the staff could have smiled a little more. The bar is well placed. While the buffet spread was not as large, the staff was open to any of our wishes. Definitely recommend the pizza.

Dinner buffet is not worth the price. Inspite of an employee discount, the dinner buffet is not worth the money. Breakfast buffet included in the room charges was much better than the dinner buffet.

Visited this place on Holi day. And was pleased with the food on offer here. I did have time to kill so ended up having a wide variety of offerings over a few hours. The staff there was jovial and very helpful. Started off with a summer charm mocktail and went on to an ice coffee with ghosht biryani. This was followed up with a chocolate smoothie and finally a homemade cheesecake for dessert. The mocktail was a bit small and while it tasted good. It got over before I could savor it. The ice coffee was the redeemer in terms of quantity and taste. The ghosht biryani was tasty and was presented very well. The chocolate smoothie was once again a good deep hit of chocolate. The cheesecake for dessert was delicious and the berry compote stole the show on this plate. A definite must visit for good food and the staff there.
