Not worth the money you pay as rooms are not as u see in the website but breakfast is good and staff is also good to an extend. You can book this hotel if you have US or any other country appointment as it is close to VAC center in shivaji metro station and about 7kms to US embassy. But if you are looking for good stay ambience for the money you pay its not that worth for the money u spend but being located to main areas and having close proximity for getting things done its worth it.

Saying goes, the face is the index of a man or an object. However, the management needs to understand the needs and wants of every traveller. Invest in infrastructure so the property's facilities are better. Overall the location is ideal for a short stay.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, clean sheets. The staff helped me fix my glasses...totally out of the way. The building is getting old, but the other factors make it compelling for someone who wants to be in the heart of New Delhi.

This place was suggested to us by a dear friend who’s also the wife of a top diplomat. True to her tastes this proved to be a Godsent for us, travelling with 3 children. The food was excellent and so was the service . The rooms though they have seen better days were clean and tidy. The location was everything. Being in the Center of the city it was as close to all the places we wanted to go. We are recommending this to anyone who wants to visit Delhi.

This tourist hostel provides decent accommodation facilities. Service providers are cordial. We could not avail room service since it was dinner time and service providers were occupied ( that was the explanation given to us). There is buffet system and a nice dining hall. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food available. Breakfast was complementary and again you could survive the whole day on breakfast alone. It was wholesome, tasty and nutritious too. I was surprised to see South Indian Idlis there!

Hostel situated in a hot and safest location. One can have a easy mobility from here to any places. Coming to rooms, it was neat and decent but bit pricy. They are also providing complementary breakfast and the food was good. Staff are friendly and approachable. Overall 4 stars

Good staying option considering the location and at a reasonable cost. The rooms are okay, service is good. Location is excellent. Breakfast is complimentary which is also good. Overall I found it a good safe place.

Stayed there for day 2 days ago. Dinner was excellent. Rooms comfortable. Toilets clean. Greatly appreciated the organist in the lobby playing beautiful melodious music. I had asked for a 2.30am wake up call...which never occured. I'm glad my cab driver woke me up in time. There was no one in the reception to check me out and give a gate pass though I kept on calling out and trying to wake up someone to hand over the room key. Left without a check out or a gate pass.

The place has lost its charm. Maintenance is poor. Stains in toilet. Walls paint peeled off. The front office who says BSNL has to come to rectify intercom! Poor quality of food and high priced

It's very conveniently located at Jai Singh Marg where no other staying alternatives is available. Being managed by some kind of association, management and other services are average. If location is not any issue, hotels with better amenities can be found around CP in similar budget

Not a great place to stay. Rooms are below standards and seems no facelift is done for years. Not worth the money at all. Air conditioners are not meant for cooling here. The food is relatively good. Don’t expect any spread when you are opting for a stay with breakfast.

Not a great room for stay. Terrible terrible service by staff. Makes me feel like I have to be indebted to them for their service. Bathroom has very old water heater. Looking at it, makes me worried that I l be in trouble. They say they have no room service. Terrible wait at the dinning hall. If anyone asks for recommendafions for delhi YMCA.. its a NO! On the positive aspect, the sardar ji standing at the gate was sweet

Rooms are not good. Not clean . Bathroom equipments are very ugly. YMCA gate number 5 is very clean. Food is good. Almost 3000 INR are the room rent. Lights are not working properly in rooms. Wifi is good. Standard rooms are not up-to-date. The furniture is older.

I recently stayed at the YMCA HOSTEL, and while the location near the Gurdwara was excellent, my overall experience was mixed. The service left something to be desired as we were charged for water, receiving only two half-liter bottles for two people. Despite this, the food quality was commendable. The hotel's potential is evident, but improvements in service could elevate the overall stay.

Seats are too cramped ! Food snax are too expensive Rs250/ for cup of coffee ! Food shud not be allowed inside as it smells horrible of Sauce & coffee inside..munching of Chips etc by immediate neighbor is a big disteaction.People drop food etc and the place becomes messy..It spoils & damages the carpets as well ! Poeple are constantly opening mobile phones which reflect into the eyes of the persons behind..Management done nothing about it for yrs..All this makes the experience disgusting !

The hostel is located in a prime location. The rooms are kept neat. We had breakfast and dinner from there and the food is really tasty. The chef and other staffs are really welcoming.

Room, linen, clean. Room small, just ok. Well maintained. Centralised air conditioning. Generator backup. Water heater separate for each room. Inhouse dining. The breakfast buffet is good. Didn't have any other food there because the menu looked expensive, like almost 50 bucks for a cup of tea or coffee. Great location.

It is Overall a nice hotel. It Is near to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station.Rooms are Not the best but are okay.Breakfast is delicious πŸ˜‹.However,The Water Heater has to be left on throughout the night so that you get a hot water bath for the morning. Water comes warm. Not good for Delhi's Cold temperatures. The Reception Responds quickly. The Rooms Were Not cleaned properly

This tourist hostel is situated at a very good location with Connaught place, Jantar Mantar, Janpath Market, Shivaji Metro station, Rajiv Chowk Metro station, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, The Sacred Heart Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral and one of the oldest church buildings in New Delhi are all located nearby. The Parliament House, North & South Block area consisting of various Ministries are comparitively nearer. The service provided by the Hostel is professional with smart people around. Gym and Swimming pool facilities are available. Dining hall, reception area has good soothing music where one feels relaxed. Food is very good.

Did a direct booking at YMCA Tourist Hostel from Sep 30 to Oct 3. A family of 4. We arrived by 2:30 pm. Check in took long and then we were given a room, A room that doesn't guarantee your safety. All walls and ceiling were peeling off. Door was jammed and intercom didn't work. The house keeping has to push from outside and I had to pull from inside to open. I wanted to cancel and exit. I was given another room this was better. The walls didn't peel off, but again, intercom wasn't working, and bathroom didn't have a lock. The roof at the bathroom was shedding plaster and water wouldn't drain properly. I had told that I had an early train to Agra and asked for breakfast to be packed by 6 am. They promised so. Next morning when checked they were still confused if they should give or not as the room wasn't updated in their records. As it was getting late, I had to rush without breakfast. Went to Agra and took breakfast there. Their daily menu is again so limited, it's just bread, poha or puri, omelet, boiled egg, coffee and tea. House Keeping staff were helpful. That's the only plus other than the location. Their in house travel desk charged Rs 2500 for Delhi sightseeing trip and the driver was very unwilling to take us to Qutub Minar. All through he was complaining of traffic. I checked with travel desk for the cost of Airport drop and they said it's Rs 1200. I booked Ola and it costed me just about Rs 300. If there's an option, better avoid this place until they renovate. They take room payment upfront. If you want to stay, check the rooms and then pay.

I was staying in room 256 and It was horrible experience. I would say in one line dharmshala for rs 500 is far far better if you compare with YMCA tourist hotel. I would highly recommended to each customer, before booking kindly visit and check and room and then decide.

One of the worst Stay ever and YMCA worst hotel service in the name of government. Only located at good location near Connought place but services are bad. I have paid 3200 for a room but I didn't get 1000 value of the room or service. I was given room 451 a old room. Below are the issues. - Room was lower than average. - AC wasn't working. - Water is not provided in room. I took two bottles at 2AM at night which was chargeable at Rs.35 each(local govt brand) but when I returned one unused bottle, the staff said it is already settled with room and it can't be cancelled. I mean what was this response I don't understand. - Handwash wasn't available instead they provide small soap bar. - Toilet paper stand was broken. - Only food is better. I know rooms are always booked and on High demand but that is because we trust the government and the facilities but we don't get what we expect as per our money's worth. A request to YMCA management (govt) to provide better service to customers. Atleast good service if not better. Something worth of our money.

The location, the property, the service are just outstanding. All the staff of YMCA tourist hostel behaviour just make you feel special and comfortable. Room and bathroom need little better modifications.

The location is in good place, within walking distance to CP. The rooms need to be refurbished as they don't give a vibrant look. Look tad dull. TV wasn't working and repeated reminders also didn't help. The restaurant was good but food had limited menu. For the price of the room, we'd get better service elsewhere.

Had been to Delhi for a business trip and had to choose a location that is equidistant from some of the commercial places. The rooms are just about ok. If you're here on a business trip then rooms should not be your concern as you'll be on the move. As far as service is concerned it's good and quick. Thanks to the foreigners staying in the hotel. Buffet breakfast opens up at 7.30 am. There are other recreational activities like Gym and swimming pool. When I had visited this this place, pool was closed. So please check with the hotel all in all a descent experience. Worth giving it a try.

When a person books a room whether in a hostel or hotel, the basic thing he expects are a comfortable mattress and good shower. Lower category staff like bell boy and housekeepings' are so polite and ready to help but the front desk staff doesn't follow up on complaints. Had to complain 4 times that the plumbing system in my room wasn't working properly. The mattress is AWFUL, I am actually 21 and left the place with a severe back ache because of it. Such a lovely property situated in one of the most important areas of Delhi, but the rooms feel a lot outdated and the food is HEAVILY overpriced. Atleast provide better taste and variety of food and buffet if charging so much.

The best part of the stay is location. Very near to metro stations (Patel chock is just 500 mt away). Just 1 km from main CP market. Rooms are okay but need renovations. Service is okay. They are prompt whenever we asked for anything to be dropped to our rooms. They do not provide mineral waters in the room. You need to pay 35 Rs to get one bottle of water. Though you can request normsl water whose taste is not good. Breakfast is okay. Very limited options. The bad part is they charge 50 Rs per bag if you want to keep your luggage bags on the day of the check out and roam around.

Rooms are basic but clean and in an excellent location for centre and shopping areas. Taps in the basic room would benefit from a good scrub as they are externally a bit mouldy but service bedding and service excellent for price

It was a great experience at the YMCA Hostel. First, they are centrally located, second, they are the safest place, third, they serve five-star quality veg and non-veg food. Not just the room and dining hall, but the entire campus is very hygienic. Since they are centrally located, you'll find lots of places to see around the YMCA. So I must say that whenever come to Delhi stay at the YMCA Hostel, unless you want to shell out your money for five or seven-star hotels. Cheers

Old one but in prime location. It is a budgetary one. If you want to retain your baggage at Hotel after checkout for 1 to 2 hrs, they are collecting extra amount which supposed to be extended as a service on free of cost.

Located in the heart of the city Just 10-12 minutes walk from Shivaji Stadium metro of the Delhi Airport express line. Opt for A la carte option from the menu. Avoid the overpriced Buffet. Try Pay bills using a card and collect your receipts. I felt that some cash payments go unaccounted for YMCA.

Not sure how they are getting this rating. I use to have better rooms in our university hostel in 2006 than they have now here. It’s like govt guesthouse. Paying 4000 Rs was like being robbed for this place.

This place is very old building, The building which seen in the picture besides swimming pool is not ymca building, It's NDRF Headquarters Building. Many of us came to see that building. I also came here to that building. But when I came Know this, I am very disappointed. There is no room service. No mineral water bottle provided. No your guests allowed in the room. Very old type room which rates is very higher side. In this budget you can get room in Hotel Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. Room is not that much comfortable. Old Type tiles room with old type AC which is not working properly.

Owned and Managed by the YMCA, an International organisation especially for the community. Thay give membership just as a club, but with some restrictions and many advantages also. Soft spoken, helpful nature, very kind and good hearted management and staff. Dinning hall, rooms for travellers to stay, swimming pool, library and development and training centre.

Rooms: 2/5 Linen provided was clean. The good part ends there. Our room shower head was broken, had to change rooms. Hot and cold water was not functional. The flush was slow. Everything was kinda rusted. Service: 3/5 We had booked our May rooms with breakfast and dinner in Feb itself. Second night there, we were stopped and informed that our dinner was not booked! This was pathetically embarassing! Luckily I had all the email communication in place so yes "documentation is a must" here. One person takes the online booking and doesn't inform the front office desk. Well they still are technically handicapped I guess. Food: 4/5 This was the only saving grace for me. Breakfast included oats, bread, cornflakes, poori bhaji, eggs, and fresh fruits. Dinner included chicken, mixed sabji, rajma, rice, paratha and sweet dish. Location: 4/5 Proximity to most of the prime locations. Very close to Shivaji Nagar stadium metro station(11 min walk). Close to CP and Rajiv Metro station. Rates: Per day with breakfast and dinner is around Rs. 3800, which in my opinion is very cheap given the location. Verdict: 3/5 Stay here if on a budget else skip.

    * Room (2/5): - Moderately cleaned, blankets had stains. - Furniture and bathroom fixtures are old and injurious. Due to the sharp edges door latch, I got a deep cut in my finger. - Pillows and bed sheets were clean. - Most wall power sockets were non functional * Staff (5/5) - All were polite and accommodating, esp. the reception folks. * Dinner / Breakfast Buffet (4/5): For the price, they have a decent options, esp. in the dinner. Verdict: It's okay if you plan to stay in this place for 1-2 days but anything more than that will be a strech.

Did booking from Agoda.com. But while checkin, they said that there is no booking. I have shared the booking email that I received but they said they don't have any such references. Further they took me to their manager, and he repeate the same. So end up booking the room there at counter. Whole process is typical Old styled Government office. Room is same as the government guest house... Things are way too old and messy. Food is quite good.. That was the only feel good factor.

This place gives 70s vibe- old building, old service people and even old bathroom fittings..it's rusted, green algae on tap and low service-orientation overall and still charge like a good hotel, why?! Location of the place is the Only plus. They denied giving tea in evening and in the morning. Very bad service, reluctant in working for anything. Guests/tourists are supposed to understand but these old waiters and managers just deny service outrightly! And they charge you so high for this shaudy work and service. We had awesome experience in YMCA, Ooty and other states, but this Delhi branch is a BIG disappointment!
