Best time to visit in evening, and best month Feb to april and August and September. So attractive destination lake after Bhalswa lake. The Naini Lake in Model Town is not a very famous one, but a reasonably well-maintained lake that serves this purpose for the people of Model Town, Tagore Park and the Mukherjee Nagar area. The lake is encircled from all sides by a thickly populated residential area. It is a neat, well-to-do locality but so closely built that you will never notice the lake from a distance. The lake itself is well-maintained and there is a small island too in the middle of the lake, with a tree that shelters many water birds. The lake is surrounded by well-built promenades if you're looking for a brisk walk and many culverts for relaxing after that long walk you just took. The periphery is lined with tall palm trees and overall, the entire lake area has a serene look which is quite a respite from the confines of the bustling city. Naini Lake may not be as vast as some of the more famous lakes in Delhi, but it is large enough to support recreational boating. If you live in North Delhi and the bigger lakes and gardens of the South are too far from your place, this makes for a viable alternative and in fact, boating facilities have been developed quite seriously here. You have pedal boats and shikaras (Kashmiri-style boats) to choose from. One pedal boat can carry up to four people and one shikara can carry up to six people. There are quite a few boats of both types available and the queues in front of the ticket counters can be long during the weekends and holidays. The opening and closing times of the lake change according to summer and winter seasons. From April to September, the boating facilities are functional from 1 - 8 PM. From October to March, they operate between 11 AM to 6 PM. The best way to reach the lake is from the Model Town Metro Station. It's only a few minutes’ walk eastwards from there along the Ramprasad Bismil Road.

Such a beautiful jheel to visit. It’s very peaceful. Most of the boating happens here. One side of jheel has mountains and one side is mall road market. The view is beautiful in between the jheel. Per boat charge for half round is Rs320 and full round is Ra 420. I would prefer to choose half round as in full round they give the same time they give in half round. Charges are for time. We paid Rs 420 and had the same time of hapf round🥲.

There are three lakes in Delhi.. This one is the smallest but well maintained. It is situated near model town metro station, exit from gate no 2. During the winter ( from October to March) boating start from 11 Am upto 6:00pm). During summer boating start after 1 pm n continues upto 8:00pm. Charges are just 130. There is a small canteen attached with lake. One need not to buy ticket if unwilling to sail/ paddle in the boat. So just walking around and sitting around the lake is completely free. Other two famous lake are situated at old fort near zoo, and Bhalswa ( biggest lake but ill maintained)

Fantastic place for peddle boating mini lake of Delhi it very famous because of beautiful model Town loacality I have visited here so many times because here you can enjoy in peaceful atmosphere no one can distribute you here you can see here ducks, sparrow, pegien, snake, turtoise and fishes.

Juss loved this place. Beautiful sceneric view. Boating was an overwhelming experience there. Only paidal boats are available there, charges are also reasonable. 130 rs. For a single boat which can carry 4 people at time, for 30 minutes. We saw many ducks out there. You can also njoy some street food there. There is a momo stall outside the gate run by two lovely aunties, i have tried Vegetable and paneer momos.. they were so yumm n cheap also. And also u can njoy sweet corn🌽 there, with ice gola . Uncle who was selling ice gola there was also a very good man with a sweet smile on his face...! So go there and njoy natural beauty

Naini Lake is located in A Block, Model Town, Delhi. Model Town was established in 1950’s but there is no exact date when this lake was but it must be a very old one too since I am seeing it over 30 years. The opening timings of boating in the lake variates in summers and winters. It is surrounded by Palm Trees and has a lot of species ducks and fishes in the the lake. Apart from boating people can come for their morning and evening walks. The lake has fencing all over which makes it more safe so that one can fall in it. It is located in 1st Stop Model Town and one if gets time should definitely visit it

This is an aesthetic lake in model Town which is popular with the name of Naini lake. There are two entries to this lake. Earlier there used to be boating here but due to some reasons the the boating facility is no more. It is a quiet peaceful place to have a relaxing time with friends aur alone. No parking or entry fee of course one need to pay for boating.. so must visit place for everyone.. this is in West Delhi

This jheel is quite dirty but still you can watch duck and do boating here and can spent some quality time with your friends and family and loved ones too. It's also located near model town metro station.

Can you find such a place in Delhi , No! In India anywhere else , I don't think so ! It was great for us to be here for the first time although it probably needs to be cleaned properly and maintained as well it as per it's potential could look far better .

At Delhi, model Town naini lake, it's good for photo shoot for spending quality time with frds, and boating is also available there. Lake water 🌊 is not much clean and In outside of Lake not cleaned area if we say about inside It is in same condition... 😜

This time my 2nd tour nainital and first time snow fall -3 degree temperature nice view, mall road was good, heavy respect full people and Big brand all showroom are available, like Allen solly, Bata, Tommy Hilfiger, Apart from this nice crowd, good healthy, and delicious food , all restaurant, Liquor shop also available, parking available, 0point, lover point, himalaya darshan view point, its all about good

Lake in model town.. water is not that clean.. boating takes place. Rs. 130 per boat n each boat accommodate 4 adults. Pedal boats are available. There are ducks swans n some other birds in the lake.

In view of its limited area, it was just good. There should be some cafe etc. I spend an hour there and would have liked to stay till late in evening when the lights would be switched on and the reflections in water would make wonderful sight. I would further like to add that the sidewalks should be cleaner and available space should be utilised more wisely. I hope that the concerned authorities shall take care of it...

The jheel here is muddy and unclean. It is not maintained properly. But you can see many floating ducks and the location of this place is nice and easily accessible from model town metro station. Very peaceful but contaminated place.

Place Is Cool & Fantastic , But the Jheel Surroundings Are Full of young Teenagers, who are always in limpid conditions which is very Bad impact on minors children's as the "Jheel" is for family or Married Couples , Just for Morning & Evening walks around the residential colonizers

Naini Lake is the back bone of Model town. The small lake is filled with thousands of fishes which can be seen swimming and eating the food thrown by the people which makes the lake full of debris. But this problem is not insurmountable just a little bit of care is needed to look after this.

It have option for boating and there is a small island in the middle where many birds lives including ducks and other birds.
