At
the
time
of
its
establishment
of
this
namely
Al-Mashun
Great
Mosque
in
1906
by
Sultan
Ma'moen
Al-Rasjid
Perkasa
Alamsyah,
it
was
generally
integrated
with
the
palace
complex
on
a
wide
area
of
land,
including
the
Sultan
Deli
Palace,
Sri
Deli
Park,
etc..
But,
it
is
a
pity
that,
since
after
the
decline
of
the
Deli
Sultanate,
until
to
the
liberation
and
independence
of
Indonesia
to
the
present,
all
of
these
properties
seem
to
be
left
unconcerned
by
the
descendents
of
royal
family
and
local
government,
and
left
to
lacking
in
maintenance.
Even
though,
each
of
these
properties
is
still
one
of
the
great
historical
buildings,
which
have
a
long
history
of
more
than
one
hundred
years,
as
well
as
the
same
condition
of
other
famous
landmarks
in
Medan.
The
complex
includes
the
Sultan
Deli
Palace,
the
Great
Mosque
Al-Mashun
for
daily
worship
and
the
Sri
Deli
Park
for
leisure
activities.
Now
it
has
become
a
protected
historical
heritage
and
tourist
destination,
and
is
no
longer
a
royal
and
private
place
exclusively
to
the
royal
family.
The
architectural
scale
of
this
mosque
is
not
very
magnificent
from
the
current
point
of
view,
but
it
was
indeed
a
very
great
masterpiece
at
that
time,
a
perfect
combination
of
Oriental,
Western
and
Middle
East
architectural
art,
and
it
has
also
left
a
glorious
memory
in
the
national
historical
records
of
Western
Indonesia.
Visitors
who
would
like
to
look
around
into
the
mosque,
are
welcome.
In
site,
there
will
be
some
official
or
freelancer
tour
guide
standby
in
it
to
give
you
a
guide
services
on
a
small
amount
of
fee,
based
on
individual
discretionary
as
he/
she
said
or
pre-determined
remuneration
agreement.
This
is
absolutely
the
site
we
should
come
to
visit,
as
well
as
the
other
building
of
royal
complex,
or
we
will
be
told
we
haven't
yet
visited
Medan.
