(Translated by Google) The Indonesian Plantation Museum is a museum located in Medan City (North Sumatra) with its address on Jl. Brigadier General Katamso No.53. Seeing from the building style of Dutch Colonial architecture, it turns out that way. The old building that houses the Indonesian Plantation Museum is called the Avros Building. Avros itself stands for Algemeene Vereeniging van Rubberplanters ter Ooskust van Sumatra and is an East Sumatra rubber plantation organization established in 1911 which later was renamed the Sumatra Plantation Company Cooperation Agency (BKS PPS). The museum, which was initiated by Soedjai Kartasasmita and inaugurated by the Governor of North Sumatra on December 10, 2016, keeps a collection that informs the knowledge and history of plantation developments in Indonesia. Museum collections are indoor and outdoor. Outside the room there is a collection of Piper PA-28 Warrior aircraft that was used to spread fertilizer or water the tobacco plants. In addition, there is an old locomotive as a means of transport in oil palm plantations. For collections that are in the room, consisting of two floors. The whole shows the history of Indonesian plantations. Exhibited in the form of Indonesian plantation products such as palm oil, coffee, cocoa, tea and sugar cane. Each commodity is equipped with a history or its origin along with its production equipment and equipment. Among the collections stored, there is evidence of the use of fingerprints as data on hundreds of thousands of plantation company employees from the Dactyloscopi Bureau in 1939. In addition there are clocks that sound up to hundreds of kilometers, so that it becomes a reference time for the community around the company. Not only limited to ordinary holidays, by visiting the Indonesian Plantation Museum we are much more familiar with the archipelago. We come to know that it turns out that Indonesia's nature is beautiful, you know. Grow anything and make money. So what are you waiting for, if you go to Medan don't forget to stop by the Indonesian Plantation Museum. Brigjend Katamso No.53.

(Translated by Google) Not yet around but already quiet like the usual museums. The museum is as good as the usual Museum where the building looks quite old and there are additional displays of aircraft and steam locomotives in the front garden. (Original) Belum keliling tapi udah sepi kayak Museum biasanya.

This museum was so quiet that there was not even a person to collect the entrance fee. Note that it's quite small in size and focuses mostly in Indonesian which is expected I guess. It's on agriculture in the local area
