Attended a wedding luncheon at Level 6 of this hotel. This hotel needs a fresh coat of paint and refurbish its interiors. It is a 8 course luncheon. The dishes are tasty, generous portion and good presentation. The waitresses are attentive and fast. Sound system might need to revamp in terms of surrounding sound and noise reduction.

They only have 2 lifts for guests and the restaurant is at 3, 5 and 7th floor. Can you imagine hundreds if not thousand of guests dining here at the same time and must wait for those lifts? And the parking slot is nowhere enough to accommodate those guests, so they parked at the street and walked to the restaurant (imagine when it is raining, oh poor guests). Do you still think you can enjoy your dinner after all that? The only way you can enjoy is when you have a parking spot inside the restaurant or when it is not raining (but still walk some distance). And the price is mostly the same compare to others but the food taste just ok. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody period

The Selecta Convention Hall in Medan City is a huge conference hall building with a considerable total capacity inside. The building has a total of six floors, including many conference halls, hotel, restaurant, corporate offices, and others, and there are also two floors of parking lots on the basement. It is suitable for private, corporate, entertainment, or event organizers to hold some grand programs here, such as product promotions, wedding banquets, birthday celebrations, graduation ceremony and so on. The design of the conference hall is new and beautiful, and the lighting is bright and the atmosphere is brilliant. The conference hall is also equipped with focused flashing lights and standard high-tech sound system, which does not lose its decency and is really a good place for banquets and gatherings. But the fly in the ointment is that the location is located on a small street on the riverside of Medan City, adjacent to a large hospital and several government-affiliated corporate offices, hotels, bank buildings and many private mansions, which do not meet the conditions for smooth traffic flow. In contrast, the movement of vehicles is often affected by restrictions or traffic blockages, especially when the banquet is full, which often makes people feel more troubled, and they are discouraged and do not want to visit this place even to meet the invitation, which is a pity. There're several restaurant at several floors. Usually used for wedding party. For the meals depend on orders but for the taste it's average. The parking lot is quite spacious but if there's a big party, it won't enough. You can still parked outside with an expensive rate. The service is ok so far.

Thats good, in theres also a charismatic church on 5th floor it glad to joining sunday service while stay or have an convention

I used to know this place as restaurant. But now they also have hotel.

Worst customer service. Rude staffs. Installed a bed sheet with stain. Later came with an intent to charge due to the red stain on the sheet.

Selecta is a convention hall as well as hotel located in the central area of Medan city. It has been the famous location for events in the town; wedding, company dinner, exhibition, etc. The restaurant provides good culinary products from their kitchen. The food is served in local, Asian and Chinese styles. There are also some karaoke rooms for private dining. Parking is located at two basement floors. The hotel is just opened for public since mid of 2022.

great vibe. good choices of food. tasty. chef really know what they are doing. or cooking in this case. the parking space tho can be hectic. you may want to come early if you are attending an event or dining on certain dates. preferably use Grab or Gojek to go there.

This place was meant for hotel, but temporary used as dining room. Felt the privacy and very good service. Price also reasonable.
