Update: Not sure what happened this time with my Gizmo caliche with added banana. I got like a third of what I usually get in a cup. It tasted good still, but was definitely disappointed in the amount that was in the cup. Yummy 😋 such a vast array of choices that it is hard to pick. I love to get the Gizmo with coconut and/or banana. This time I did a make my own caliche with banana and caramel. You won't be disappointed here. The lines can be kind of long sometimes, but it's definitely worth the wait.

I ordered the Adobe Mud and it did not disappoint... Carmel, Espresso, Coconut and Oreo in one dessert makes for the perfect concoction in my opinion. It was delicious, but a bit overpriced. There is no place to sit inside and it was warm outside, so I took the custard back to my hotel room. Other people were eating on the bed of their trucks though, which gave it a fun, laid back/hang-out-type atmosphere. The staff was friendly and I learned the pecans (used for toppings on other desserts or as an add-on) are from local pecan groves.

Ever since I discovered Caliche’s I’ve been obsessed! Nachos and hot dogs are perfect munchies, and their custard is addicting. My go to is the Italian ice mixed in with vanilla custard. Try everything on the menu at least once!

-Caliche's is such a treat every time we go. My family looks forward to our near-weekly visits. -However, to management: *Please* teach your employees to portion correctly! The average price of a sundae here is about $6 and they never fill the cup enough (see pics). It seems a bit stingy, and customers should get what we pay for. Otherwise, we love Caliche's 😄

What a letdown Caliche's Frozen Custard has become! Once a treasured treat, now a blatant rip-off. I've gone from scooping up creamy, delicious custard to digging into half-filled cups of overpriced disappointment. Their prices have skyrocketed, but the portions? They've nosedived to half their cup size. Once beloved specials now also come with less than half the toppings. It's as if they're using less than half the ingredients but charging double the price. 🙄 Sadly, Caliche's is a shadow of its former self and may be on the verge of going under due to mismanagement. If you’re looking for value or taste, steer clear. This place has lost both.

The ice cream is some of the best I have ever had. I actually can do make a review on an employee. I didn’t catch her name but she has curly brown hair and a star wars face mask. I didn’t understand that they don't have soft serve and I felt as though I may have come off the wrong way. She was completely sweet about it and her customer service skills are amazing. You guys are lucky to have such a great employee !

Simply the best frozen custard I've had anywhere. Caliche's is a New Mexico treasure and an institution. Ive driven miles out of the way to make sure a Caliche's is on my route. What else can I say? Looking forward to a future Albuquerque location someday 🍦🍨

Best hot dog 🌭 I’ve ever had hands down. If you’ve never tried it before you should definitely try it.

It's a drive thru place or order from outside standing place. Delicious custard that I'm willing to make a drive for. Consistency of custard is smooth, and they offer a good variety of flavors along with different types of hot dogs which I also recommend.

Great service, good food and delicious custard. And they don't turn you away when they're 10 minutes away from closing. They also gave my dog his own treat. Will definitely be a long time customer.

Love it! Great flavors! Great and fast customer service which is very much appreciated especially with kiddos. The location is in a busy traffic area, but the desserts and food and customer is awesome! Caliches are great priced, food is a bit high. Seasonal flavors are the best!

The staff was friendly and courteous. It was a hot day so we got some mango and strawberry fruit smoothies. Absolutely delicious! We love coming here for a sweet treat!

I cannot say enough about this place. The employees are great. Always friendly (and not in that creepy looking into your windows at night or forced fake way). The outdoor seating area provides a great view of the organ mountains. In short, this is a great place to stop at for a quick bite to eat or a delicious cold treat.

My husband and I shared the Nana Berry Swirl, except with chocolate custard instead of vanilla. It was delightful! Definitely will get this one again! Also, the young man who took my order was courteous and helpful.

The Gizmo and the strawberry shortcake were delicious!! Tried a sample of the chili ice cream and wasn't a fan so I'm thankful they offer a sample first. I loved the Gizmo and how they put plenty of fudge and caramel for every bite.

Went here for a frozen custard treat and it was delicious. I had The Gizmo vanilla custard covered in hot fudge, caramel and pecans. Busy place but they work hard to move folks through as quickly as possible 🙂

Be prepared to eat outdoors or take food home. Frozen custard is good but only 2 flavors. In contrast, large choices for toppings. Also lots of choices for what goes on top of beef hot dogs, bit since I didn't have anything besides custard, I can't say if they are good or not.

Love this place! Never had a bad experience here. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake.

Caliche’s never disappoints. Lots of really great options to choose from and it continues to grow. This is a must stop for our family when we come back to Cruces for a visit. We love the custard and Happy Hour drinks are an extra bonus!

When I was in Las Cruces, one of my friends told me that I had to stop by here, and I'm so glad I did. The service was fast and polite, and they had my custard out so fast. On top of that it was right as they were about to close, so the fact they were so happy to serve really meant a lot. Highly recommend, and hope they keep up the good work.

My wife finally tried the Green Chili sundae and said she will never get anything else! If you like green chili, do yourself a favor and get the sundae! Also, we went through the drive-through on Sunday and it was pretty slow for some reason, so I think it's a better idea to just walk up.

Hotdogs are my weakness. I love all the choices they have here. Sauerkraut on my dog is one of them. I’m not a fan of ice cream but the place is always crowded with ice cream lovers so it must be good.

Wonderful place for dessert. Custard was smooth creamy and very tasty. Didn't give 5 stars because their payment system is extremely outdated and wouldn't take my debit card. Had to come back with a different form of payment which according to the employees happens very often and is an extreme inconvenience for the customer.

LOVE this place! Excellent service, plenty of menu options and delicious icecream, what more could you ask for? They have walk up or a drive thru for convenience and plenty of outdoor seating. If you're in the area be sure to stop by and prioritize visiting here, especially for dessert. You won't be disappointed and you'll want to keep coming back since there are so many options on the menu (food and dessert)!

Now THIS is REAL Custard. Back East there is a chain (I will leave nameless) that claims to serve custard and it is not custard. Not at all. Not even a little. Maybe it's like egg ice cream...I don't know, but this is custard. Tried a sampling of the "green chile sundae" and i'm not sure if I could eat a whole sundae, but it was surprisingly tasty. Ended up ordering a "StrawNana" and it was excellent. I'd eat that daily until the day I die. If i'm ever back out this way I will for sure go back here.
