Didn't use much of the facilities (nice playgrounds)there but several men were hanging around. The river was nice and full and fast flowing(a rare sight). We were glad bathrooms were available. Also a huge tree limb cracked and fell while we were there. Glad no one happened to be under it.

Long paved walking trail… Good sunset views… has play area for kids, unsheltered picnic areas, but no restrooms. A section of the south part can be a bit smelly because of the drainage canal. No parking fees.

Well kept park, we enjoyed our walk on the north paved trail along the Rio Grande - even if it was dry! Came back next morning and walked south and peaceful setting soon lost to CONSTANT gunfire from a range apparently nearby, can't get a break even on Christmas eve? Otherwise would have been five stars as it is a very nice park and people we met were friendly.

Watched the sunset here and it was a perfect place to watch the sunset over the mountains. It’s located right on the Rio Grande which was completely dry so we went for a walk though the empty river which was unique.

First time was a couple of months ago. It's a decent park. I saw a snake 🐍 and left shortly after lol. I did have my two year old with me. It's nice to go to with all that's happening this hectic year. The best part is during sunset. So pretty, especially if there is water in the rio.

Pretty nice park. You can walk run or bike for miles along the Rio grande. Handful of picnic tables too near the entrance and benches along the way every 1/4 mile. There's a couple fire pits right by the water which was a surprise! Must be really nice in the evening

It's such a wonderful scene. I took my dogs, and they enjoyed the lake as well. I suggest you take off or bug repellent apart from that great park

It's a good place to go to have a picnic and take the kids to go play and it has a good jog path. Only thing is it's not filled up with water anymore like in the past today's date 3/22/ 2017 (update July 25 2017 has water now)

A nice place to park and get up close and personal to this big River. It was full when we visited and we watched for a time, happy to see it filled and with no sand bars. Access to the water was under the bridge, but we didn't even get close. Still waters run deep, or so they looked.

Park and recreation center. Good place for afternoon walk. Cool breeze out there. Beautiful riverside. Landscape is also very pleasing.

Other than the gnats, this place is legit! Wear your bug spray and the kids will love it!

Trees...omg...i love the beautiful trees ... sometimes the little oasis is often tucked away. I was lost looking for Katfish Kove but ran into this park where i set my grill up for some bbq sausage and my kitty can climb the trees... Wheeezzzz....i can feel the breeze! Thank you for such a little peaceful oasis. Thank you to the people of City of Deming. I love New Mexico.

Well I was visiting the area and when I saw that the park was on the Rio Grande I had to stop. Unfortunately, this part of the river has dried up due to dams built further north. So, no water which allows you to walk in the river bed.

We were blessed to participate in the mikveh: baptisms of two beautiful people from College Station, Texas. The water was muddy but it did not soil my white clothes and at a pleasant temperature. Be tremendously blessed and Thank you, wonderful people who maintain it.

I brought my kids to play in the river and they had a blast! Then the dried of while playing on the play ground! It's a beautiful park! I've even come and walked the trail while my kids rode their bike! You can do so much here!

Love that we are opening up parks in town. This is a nice little park by the river but it can often be fairly busy. I really like the pedestrian paths that head north and south of the park. The southbound path goes all the way down to Mesilla, so it's a good hike/ride. The northbound path meets up with the path that goes nearly all the way around Las Cruces, and it looks like the ultimate goal is to have a path that circumnavigates the city.

It was nice. Nothing spectacular. Dogs loved it. It would be nice if there were an out of the way area for dogs and their humans. Parking and getting out were a bit of a mess as it is a circular parking lot. People were just kinda sitting in the way as the waited for a spot to open but they were also blocking people into spots. I didn't attempt the restrooms.

I have watched this park along the Rio Grande at Picacho grow through the years from nothing to a very well kept park with a paved walk along the river extending north under the Picacho bridge. I've never walked that far along the path to the south, but am told you can walk all the way to Mesilla along the east side of the river. There's good parking and a few picnic tables. It's a delightful place to visit when the river is running for a group or family picnic. And there are those who swear they've heard the mournful cry of La Llorona there as dusk gathers.
