Amazing! Beautiful garden and lakeside terrace with a view of the lake. I was there for a quick drink at the terrace by the lake, so I didn't go inside the establishment itself. BUT for the fantastic location, amazing view and incredible service, I'm giving it four stars.

This is the best hotel and restaurant in the whole Kivu(South and North)and probably one of the best in the great lakes region(you can tell i'm in love with this place). I spent my wedding night here and my husband and i loved it. The managers Alain and Natasha are super professional and friendly. The rooms are AMAZING: big italian showers, views to die for(our room was right by the lake), comfortable beds and good quality beddings and furnitures and decorated with taste. Natasha surprised us with flowers all over the floor and complimentary champain. The food is REALLY nice, from starters to desserts (everything is tasty). I'm a regular customer and i never get this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the great lake region.

Love this place and would anywhere I found it in the world. Great property, fantastic food, beautiful to see and be here. Nothing else comes close in Goma. I have stayed here at least 10 times alone and with teams. Everyone loves it here. Unfortunately on this trip they did not honor my confirmed reservation. They over booked and I travel enough to expect that from time to time. What I was not prepared for after all this time was to be kicked to the curb to find my own solution. Need to step up costumer service on that one. Still the best place in Goma.

In general, my stay at the Lac Kivu Lodge was okay, but there is still room for improvement to enhance the experience for guests.

The rooms are very nice and spacey, the views are to die for, bathrooms really modern and the rooms have a nespresso machine for the coffee lovers! The food at the restaurant is great as well and the views from every area you sot in are spectacular

Feb2018 After a road-trip to the gorillas and a local school in the mountains, we wanted to book a quiet hotel to relax. And we succeeded in Lac Kivu Lodge 🤗. we had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the garden. We enjoyed that. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I have been to Lac Kivu Lodge twice now during my visits to DRC Goma. First time was for a week in a beautiful room on the lac. It Balcony is built on top of the lac. Very quiet and peaceful. The service matched that price which might look expensive until you experience the place. The second time, I chose rooms which are just near the main gate because I had kids. These rooms are on top of a hill with direct view of the garden. The rooms are beautiful but I will avoid them next time due to the chimney smoke which is at the bottom of the garden. The smoke would fill the rooms up every morning from about 9am to 11 or 12pm. Everything in the room would smell of smoke. I was lucky as one of my kids who had asthma was absent. I think it would have made it worse for her. The first day I thought it was a one off, second day I told the manager. On our third day as we were checking out, the same thing happened. I didn’t not enjoy my stay this time but will definitely go there next time. I will be avoiding those rooms at all cost.

Good food. Super clean. Nice gym. Rooms were really nice and mine was overlooking the lake. Very comfortable place, and super safe.

A little bit expensive compare to similar location, but if you need to relax it s the place to be

We enjoyed our stay on the lake. It was nice being able to sit by the lake at night and during the day. There was also a swimming pool nearby (not sure how clean it was but we went in and it was fine). The room was clean the only thing that was strange was the shower had no shower curtain but we made it work by sitting in the tub. Good location for getting to mt nyriagongo and to see the mountain gorillas. Our room had a gorgeous view. We felt safe here.
