Visiting Donnelly Park at anytime of the year is always a fun occasion. See the ducks and geese. If you are lucky you can see the many fish when they are being fed. If you are really lucky you can catch a glimpse of turtles, which are a real treat to see. There are about four of them. Winter 2021 saw 2 dozen plus Pelicans arrive, after a while there were 40 plus. I don't know how long this can last, there can't be that many fish in the pond. March 2022 the mumber is down to 2 dozen plus Pelicans. Spring 2022 Pelican count is down to about 10. There are only so many fish in the little pond! Spring 2022 Turtle Mania has arrived to the park. I saw 12 turtles getting tans on the shore of the pond. Last time I saw a few turtles was about 3 years ago. This is a real treat. I've posted some pics, check them out. June 2022, the local population of ducks has increased this spring. So sadly, there are too many, it will be culled soon. I saw one duck family with 12 young ones. As in years passed this will be taken care of. 08/02/2022 Some pelicans have made a new life here. 10/08/2022 About 11-14 pelicans have stayed here at the park for over a year now. Down from 40+ earlier in the year. Bathrooms winter hours start Nov 1 till Feb 28. Open Mon thru Fri only; closes at 3pm. Closed Sat & Sun and city holidays. These hours really suck! April 25, 2023 Thank God that the Pelicans are gone, this is a small pond and there aren't that many fish to sustain 5 dozen Pelicans. Thank God for the new bathroom hours, what a blessing! 9/13/2023 it's so beautiful now, late summer, the weather is so nice.

As if out of nowhere , giant pine trees greet you and surround a darling playground and is home to day use picnic and barbecue areas in view of a quaint pond. While I adore all the geese and ducks, I took away one star due to the geese droppings practically everywhere. This makes it hard to decide to even lay down a picnic blanket, and we did not bring a tarp to set down underneath the blanket. As a result, when one sits, the geese droppings will flatten (mush) and press into your blanket and onto your clothes. (Yuck) Also, when we arrived, 4 cars were in the parking lot of people living in their vehicles and an RV trailer. We chose to park elsewhere.

Hello everyone! We enjoy this park because it has a lot of parking spaces. Areas to picnic. 🚻, playground, and skateboard area. We live to take my grandson to walk around the lake next to the docks, guises and if you are lucky like today we look flock of pelican landing in the lake. 😱 was spectacular!

Beautiful scenery. A lot of big pine trees along the park. Good size for a nice workout and there is a playground for the kids. A tremendous amount of waterfowl but friendly and they keep to themselves.

Today used this park as a venue to hold our annual Memorial Day picnic. What a great day of fun. The bathrooms were clean. Lots of grass space to throw the football. Kick the soccer ball. String up a volleyball net. The tables were plentiful. The barber q pits were large. This park is very convenient and local for cities in and around Turlock. Also there is a lake of water full of carp and full of ducks. The kids can have some exciting fun as the geese and ducks walk up to them to take food from their hands. On one side of the park there is a skate park for teens. Sometimes people come here go make-up in the late evening hours. I see guys playing cards & dominoes. Parking is plentiful. If you're planning to hold a family bar b que or celebration in the sun on the grass then this placeceill suit yours needs.

Nice Park to visit you can picnic, you can lay up under the trees, you can barbecue, you can feed the ducks and geese. My advice is to feed the ducks and geese cabbage, greens and lettuce it's better for them

Has cool ducks and geese of many kinds with some fish and turtles at times!! Good park for many events-- which brings about a lot of trash so it would be much better looking park if so many people didn't leave their trash behind

Does not have a walking path within the park, but you can walk around using city sidewalks. I really like that they added a skateboard park or bike tricks gives kids that are a bit older something to enjoy. Personally too many geese at this park, goose poop everywhere.

I stopped by to pickup a friend. The city needs to put more lights in the parking lot it was very dark. Even some in the grassy area would be nice to. I was only there for less than 5 minutes when we heard 3 gunshots from inside the park, very close by. We left immediately, very frightening.

The park was nice until a small unsupervised child, who was wearing a diaper, stuck his hands in his diaper and started wiping fecal matter throughout the playhouse while my children were playing in the playhouse. My children came running in horror of what they just witnessed and begged to leave.

What a great park! Has 2 playgrounds. One is a wooden one that's almost completely shaded. Its got such a wonderful design and so many benches for parents to sit in every area of the playground. Had toddler side too. My 5 yr old grandson and I played hide & seek it was perfect for that! We walked over to the colorful other playground that's the plastic and it had fun things too. There were many picnic areas with bbqs including areas to reserve for larger parties. Bathrooms weren't terrible not great. We fed the hundreds of ducks by the huge pond. It was a great day.
