Well maintained amphitheatre in hierapolis ancient city. You can see many amphitheatres in Turkey like in Ephesus, Aspendos..etc and this one is very unique and well restoreted. When you get there don't forget your water, sunglasses, snacks and sunscreen. Because inside you need these and they are expensive.

Spectacular!!! Speechless!!! Gorgeous!! We took buggy car from south gate entrance. Even it was 10 am it was so hot to claim up. Buggy was around 300 lira, to see all historical sights.

Hierapolis Roman Theatre is truly one of the most stunning monuments in Hierapolis Archaeological Site. The view from top of it is relay amazing. The theatre still is in intact condition compared to other theatres in Turkey. Satisfaction exceeds expectation. Anyone should not miss it when visit Pamukkale.

For any sane person with a semblance of historical attraction and consumption, this site will and should overwhelm you. It gives you the simultaneous feeling of utter amazement and gloominess straightaway. The grandeous nature and the history which the whole place oozes is just outrageously good! I'd say this place is comparable to any Greek amphitheatre around Europe and deserves more traffic!

It is just wow... A real wonder. You have to give ut sometime to really enjoy the scene. If you are a history lover, you will be wondering how people built it about 2000 years ago when there were no crains or so. The theatre, the stage, the place where the major authorities were sitting are all simply stunning. The best part I realised is, when you talk in a little louder, it can be very clearly heard at the very bottom or at the top. A great engineering example. Hats off to constructors, engineers and the designers.

A site full of history, legacies and great speeches. I recommend going in a golf cart and taking lots of photos.

Amazingly preserved theatre at Hierapolis UNESO heritage site. Though initially constructed around reign of Hadrian in 60 AD, theatre has been extended and transformed it existing shape during later years. However it collapsed due to earthquake in 7th century. Even in its historic arrangements, it was able to seat 15,000 spectators. It must have been used for multiple sports, cultural and imperial activities. It was heavily restored in 2004 To 2014 but still it has more than 90% actual settings. It’s a must visit place in Turkey Tour.

One of the iconic place in turkey. If you are planning to visit Turkey Pamukkale should be in your list this old theater is giving you amazing historical view along the old Town. There is also a museum there where old coins and stones are there both covered and open museum are present. It's near to hot water spring you can visit this place in a same day. You can get a flight from İstanbul to Denizli and then by taxi you can reach here.

Very beautifull at sunset time. You can see a very very breathaking view. Unfortunetly there's no shadow on the way there and the climb, although not that steep, can be exhausting on a hot summer day. But it is well worth it, as the ruins are in a good condition and the view from that last steps is great. I would have loved to see an ancient play performed here.

The best amphitheatre I have ever seen. İt was almost empty when we visited so we had it to ourselves and it was spectacular. Still in very good condition. Amazing to sit and close your eyes and think that you were actually sat within Roman empire history. Definitely recommend coming to see here when you visit Denizli, you won't be disappointed. Perfect photo opportunities too 10/10

Very ancient place, you will appreciate it on the colder months as during summer it is very hot when climbing up the way to the theater.

Piękny zabytek starożytnej architektury. Polecam odpuścić sobie długi pobyt w nieckach i Basenie Kleopatry, a więcej czasu poświęcić na podziwianie tych monumentów. Wejście do "wnętrza" teatru robi wrażenie.

👍👍 Back gate is good if you have own transportation as can park close to location. It’s very close to antique ruins and not very far from thermal pools. Make sure you wear boots as many places requires longer walks, sharp elevations and had minimal road formations or huge stones paving. It’s much huger...
