The hotel's fine, but visit the spa at your own peril.. The hotel concept is original. It takes Covid measures, gives fresh, warm towels, there are polite male reception staff and waiters and there's a library corner - great for literature-lovers like us. The 1 🌟 is for the spa: The spa customer service and 'treatment', let the hotel down. Big time. There is a so-called 'masseuse' at the spa (female, 30s, black hair, plump.) This woman's behaviour was outrageous and her treatment the like of which I've never seen before. (I've had hundreds of previous massages.) The spa is advertised as open until 23.00. I booked a 75 min relaxation massage for 21.30. This strange woman started off the session by saying: 1) I should have booked an appointment for 7 or 8pm. 2) The first 10 minutes of the session she didn't do anything resembling a massage. 3) 35 minutes into the session, she said she was taking a 5 minute break because she "was tired, her wrists were hurting because she'd been working all day since the morning." (How? The spa only opens at 15.00.) 4) She left and re-entered the room TEN minutes later. 5) When I asked what was happening, she resumed the 'massage' and at the end pulled VIOLENTLY on both my arms (obviously to show her annoyance.) I thought she was gonna thump me next. *She's lucky I didn't call the police on her for assault.* This UNPROFESSIONAL, AGGRESSIVE, incompetent woman should not be working in a spa... and yet, at Şiir Hotel, she is. Enough said.

There were a lot of good things about this hotel, however, a few details led to my rating it 3☆ rather than 4☆. First the good points: The staff were friendly and obliging;the breakfast a decent spread; and my standard double room was lovely, complete with a four-poster bed and comfortable mattress and pillows. For a standard room it was large and had a balcony with a good view over the city in the near distance. Now the not-so-good points: the in-room fridge barely raised a chill despite turned up to max power - in a hot country you want cold drinks; the upper shower fitting was broken - it could hold the showerhead, but you couldn't adjust it outwards to get a desirable angle; the WiFi signal was not strong and cut out altogether when sitting on my balcony; unless you arrive in a car it is too far out of the city centre - 30 minutes by dolmuş. Lastly, one reason I picked it was for its hamam - after a 4.5hr bus ride I was looking forward to relaxing in the hamam (whose photos looked appealing). At 8.30pm when I checked-in it was already closed and didn't open the next day until 3pm, when I wouldn't be around to use it! A hotel which has a hamam but only opens it for 5 hours or fewer each day is nuts - and unheard-of in Turkey. It's a shame, with a few improvements it could be so much better.

Good for a short stay, not really matching today's standard, but staff very friendly!

Lovely Hotel - very clean. Excellent staff very attentive. We were there to meet one of their guests for a meeting and found the surroundings and service excellent. Will be returning to the Hotel for a stay so we can see more of the City.

Very fine hotel. Quality furniture, very nice details with the șiir (poems) and the room named after poets. It is bit far from everything but îs really confortable, cozy and nice with a great vibe.
