Only serves lunches and become a drinking place in the evening. Very decent danish cuisine at very fair prices. You probably cannot find any other restaurants offering such value meals in city central. But you need to make a reservation in advance if you wish to dine here as there are only a few tables.

The food was the tastiest traditional food I've ever had in Northern Europe. Danish food at its best. The service is fabulous, very friendly waiter who explained to us how we should eat the food, what he recommends etc. The table nearby hat 4 regulars who have been coming to the cafe for many years. The atmosphere is of a quaint little bar, which has preserved that antique feel and tradition. Will definitely visit again when I'm in Copenhagen. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

A friendly neighborhood restaurant in city center. It’s managed by second generation family members. I was lucky to find a seat at the bar during christmas holiday. While I was having the lunch, I found out the guests sitting next to me have been coming to this restaurant for 40 years!!! Very delicious food, and I hope they survive at least another 40 years more❤️

Very nice and cozzy place in the city center. We had lunch there and I have to say it was the best lunch we had in Copenhage! If you want to try a bit if the danish delights, order the Lux. platte! Its one of the few places you can have food and drinks for a decent price in this city. 👏🏻

The place is easy to miss, but it is definitely worth the stop on your way from the Cathedral to the Round Tower. The Smørrebrød they offer may be the most affordable in the city centre, and is absolutely delicious and full of different yet complementing flavours. The café isn't big, but luckily wasn't crowded during my visit, and offers a lot of traditional dishes.

Make sure to stop by here on your way through Copenhagen. It’s a quaint little restaurant with fair prices, excellent hospitality and delicious food! Highly recommend the dutch stew or the shooting star!

A very small but great venue. If you do not have a reservation, you are likely to wait in line for hours.

Disappointing experience. We went to this place through to a friend's recommendation. The first day we sat and the bartender tells us they cannot sell us food cause the kitchen is full and cannot take any more orders. So we left and came back the next day earlier (Wednesday 11.30), and the woman the greeted us told us it was fully booked for the whole week even though it was empty. No one told us the first day we needed to make reservations. It just felt they didn't want us there.

Ultimate “brown bar” run by a lovely husband and wife who will make you feel right at home. Excellent traditional food, local spirits and beer on tap. I’m very glad I stumbled in here. If I had discovered it earlier on in my trip I would have loved to return. It seems like the kind of place you want to be a regular.

We couldn’t enter the bar because of the COVID restrictions (there was a maximum amount of guests). But the barowner was really great and gave us great tips and a delicious drink for free. Definitely a lovely place, highly recommended! Love, the Dutch-Middelfarters!

Had smørrebrød with pickled herring and with panko fried fish. Both were pretty good. Service was lovely as well.

Great little pub on a quiet street with the sun shining brightly on us.

Today my buddy and I had a fantastic lunch at Cafe Halvvejen. We had a nice little table outside to enjoy the great weather. The service deserves 6/5 stars. Very friendly, helpful and funny. It's always great to see people having fun and loving their job! The food was amazing aswell! If you're in Copenhagen and looking for a bite & a beer, check this place out!

Didn't realize they don't serve food at night but bartender was really nice about it. Great atmosphere and beer!

Very nice place and as usual, super service from the Danes. The food was superb and fresh made. The cafe is small and only has 5 tables but can seat 6 at the bar so you need to book in advance. You wont be disappointed.

Tried to go here 3 times early in the afternoon but they could not accommodate us. Not even for a drink at the bar. Looks nice enough, but this certainly is not a pub - it’s a restaurant where you need to reserve a table. Neither is it a cafe despite the name!

I like the vibe and the food. It was very antique and vintage. Food was really good too. I ordered odense classic beer. I really liked the taste of the beer
