Very mixed feelings. Super location, good breakfast, friendly stuff. But room is very very small, and the bed is not comfortable. Even I am a frequent user of Scandic in Nordic cities and know usually they are not fancy, this is still a surprise. I barely have place to place my suitcases, and there is no closet for hanging cloth. There are 4 hooks on the wall and that is it. In the bathroom it is hard to walk in and out the showering area (even for a 163cm girl like me), no place to hang used towels or place creams and makeups while using the mirror. Showering water flow is small. No way to check one’s look because there is no body mirrors or anything alike. The room also has bad sound isolations, I wake up at 4am one day by coughing from the neighboring room and another day at 5am by noise from the street. The curtain is also not really light tight, for light sensitive person it is problematic. The plumbs in the room are constantly making some noises. Staffs are friendly but also a bit distant, they put no effort than the minimum, to help you for problems you encounter. For example on the day that I got wake up by the noisy neighbor, I went to the reception, ask if I can change a room, the staff simply says we can do nothing about it, but you can pay to upgrade the room. (I suppose a single person room does not imply one has to bear noises?) Overall it is ok if one looks for a quick and convenient stay, but it is not a great place if you want to take some rest, and surely I don’t see what makes it a four star hotel.

Really mixed feelings here. The rooms are among the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. As a 183cm adult, you have to sit sideways on the toilet, because there is no room for your knees. If you are a broad shouldered male, you have to enter the shower sideways. The bed and linen leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet is wonderful and really good quality. Weird mix. Also, they charge 30 DKK for a small toothpaste - not that friendly for a customer just wanting to brush his or her teeth. I'll come back, for the food.

Friendly staff and good service, rooms appear bit neglected, but still good. Comfy bed, but as every Scandic, pillows are s h i t. Breakfast is on the OK side, unhealthy and and for someone looking what they eat, no nutritional or the product information available, so impossible to google either.

Nice place, very centrally located, restaurant is great, and good service. Water for bathing could be a lot warmer though.

The location is great, and breakfast is a full buffet. The room however does not make up for this. Everything is looking very tired, and I never trust a hotel with a shower curtain instead of a cubicle. The shower had not been cleaned for a long time, so the water sprayed in every direction (including all over the bathroom floor as it ran under the shower curtain), and the hairdryer may just as well not have been there - it was like having a young child trying to dry your hair by breathing on it. I would not stay here again if the location had not been so perfect.

The rooms where decent enough but the hotel needs a refurb. ACs are non existent and you can forget of having the windows open because it’s to noisy outside.

Quite expensive and not so great. The staff is friendly but the hotel is quite old and looks a little rundown in the lobby. The rooms are very small however renovated and clean. Unfortunately they didn’t soundproof them - you can hear every word spoken in the neighboring room. Bathrooms are tiny - the smallest I’ve ever seen. The bed is too hard for me. Not great value for money. I will not stay here again.

One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had - really liked the individual portions ans Weck jars and the healthier options like chia pudding and little bean salads. The rooms are clean, but small and slightly rundown. Great location - right near the main station.

Pretty tiny room but very close to the train station and walking distance to museums and shopping. If you don’t mind the small room and lack of AC, I would recommend since the complimentary breakfast is AMAZING. They have choices of eggs, pancakes, deli meats, bread, fresh orange juice, coffee and more!

Not the best Scandic I have been on. But it gets the “job” done :) Room was strangely designed with a bathroom add sometime after the room.

Great breakfast, great bar, great location next to the train station. But: tiny single person room, with a very small bathroom - very cramped.

Hotel is approaching end of service life and needs an update. Good breakfast and nice staff. Good location.

Great location close to the train. Breakfast was excellent. Clean simple rooms, fast wifi, and professional service. Hotel bicycle was very handy.

Early winter and an extremely cold room. The bathroom doesn’t have any heat at all, and that makes it an chilly morning shower. Room looks old, and the elevators really need an upgrade. With this chilly experience, I’d probably book somewhere else another time. But, positive side is that they are in the middle of center, and walking distance to almost everything.

Best location! Within town and walking distance to most of the iconic tourist spots. Great breakfast with variety. Just that will need to inform the front counter if you want your room to be cleaned. Always forget about it in the morning!

I felt very welcomed by the staff. Breakfast is very good. The gym has good equipments. The downside is the room. A bit outdated and the bed not so comfortable.

The hotel was fine everything clean and nice. But the roomservice and the receptionist were so bad and unfriendly I have never experienced such behaviour in a western country. Better go to another hotel.

Close to railway station and city centre. Parking possible. Excellent breakfast buffet. Comfortable, but old renovated rooms.

Rooms ok. Great lokation. Reception staff were professional, curtious and effecient. Brunch left much to be desired. It was an avalance of grains and bread. The options for a protein-rich non--dairy low carb foods, like that mandatory bacon & eggs - any brunch buffet stallwart - was absent. Because they only do that every other day. I found it inadequate being told that this was so and this is how it is. That was a dissapointment.

The room was so dirty, the bed was not clean and I think they did not clean the hotels for many years. The floor's carpet in all corridors look like never washed and dirty everywhere. I never stayed in such a dirty hotel and still does not understand why the Scandic owns this hotel. Thisis not a hotel , maybe they can call that a motel. Please wash the hotel for once .

A little out of date and not a 100% clean. Parking is not too big and high priced. Located directly next to the city center. Good breakfast but nothing special. Enough for a business trip.

We stayed here for four nights: two adults, one child. The location couldn't be better; everything you need in Aarhus is close by. The staff was very kind and helpful throughout. The rooms were clean, not cleaned unnecessarily, but they came and cleaned it when we asked. Check-in takes approx. five minutes on departure, the payment was made in a few minutes. Our room overlooked a wonderful park. Breakfast was varied and nutritious beyond all our expectations. The negatives: The TV of those next to us or above us was very audible in our room in the evening and the shower and toilet there is barely room for one.

The hotel needs some renovations and the overall cleanliness was not great, specially in comparison to other hotels in the area. The breakfast was pretty good, and the employees as well.
