A fascinating building. The design rationale and bizarre uses of a year round, snow-free ski hill on the roof of a garbage disposal facility makes for an interesting place. The walk to the top is free, and while the view from the top is largely industrial, there are some angles that provide great looks at the city. In addition there is a small bar at the top with a few basic choices that makes for a refreshing place to recharge before heading back down.

A rather unique and original place which deserves to take a look at it for this very reason. Yet, I cannot say that I was very impressed by the viewpoint. There are far better high places in Copenhagen to enjoy the landscape, without the scent of garbage which is perceptible in various places around the staircase. I imagine that this place is mostly nice for people who can take advantage from the sport facilities (sky, climbing, running up and down). For a mere enjoyable moment, you should go next.

The whole #green idea is great and friendly to the environment. I recommend to use the elevator on the way, the view of the factory from the inside is remarkable. Love this site ❤️🇩🇰

You have an excellent view of Copenhagen from the top of CopenHill. It is free to walk to top and well worth the short hike up the steps. The cafe/bar at the top looks a little worn down, but don’t let that stop you. I did not get a chance to try the ski slope, but I hear it is good fun

Went on a rainy day. We took the bus and had to walk over to copenhill. I would suggest those visiting to visit via bike. Most of the safes were closed during the time of my visit. Suggest to visit during the peak hours. The view at the top is magnificent despite the rain, it would be better on a sunny day.

What an incredibly interesting building to visit! An incinerator turned into a multi-purpose building with a cafe at the top providing spectacular views, a climbing wall, and a ski slope. One can either take the elevator to the top or walk up stairs of 80+ meters. The views are mostly of the energy plant but one can also see all the wind turbines lining the coast.

Impressive and very interesting to see in person, but funily enough it smells like trash everywhere. It’s not a surprise as it’s a trash burning facility, but no one mentioned it and every visitor or employee seem to avoid this comment.

The whole idea is great and friendly to the environment. I recommend to use the elevator on the way, the view of the factory from the inside is remarkable. I took the stair on my way down, here you get a nice view of the city. Sadly there wasn’t any ski events at the time I visited it.

It’s an interesting place to visit, there is a beautiful viewpoint but if you wanna ski or snowboard for real this place is absolutely not suitable for it. A piste is made of plastic which is super slippery, it’s impossible to stand or to ski on it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We went on our trip in June to see the view and have a coffee. We took the elevator up. The view was nice. You can see the whole city. It was a little hot from the smoke coming from the chimney and from time to time a not so nice smell. The coffee place could be a little upgraded. We didn't stay and walk down the stairs to the parking. Maybe it's better in winter.

It is a fantastic architecture master piece incorporated multiple activities that managed waste and provided recreational activities. There are rock climbing, skiing, and tracking options that you could choose. Spectacular view at 85 metre provides bird eye view for the surrounding areas. We are delighted that the energy generated from the collected waste provides the required electricity to the residents in Copenhagen.

Great staffs, nice place to visit. The station is a science museum in itself 😅. To go up you can either take the staircase or the elevator 🛗 Up on the top, there’s a bar with amazing staffs working there, I was nicely treated with care and enjoyed the view of Copenhagen from up there.. I’ll strongly recommend to pay a visit… it’s worth it 😎

Visiting CopenHill was the best experience I had during a week-long trip in October 2021 to Copenhagen. Here's why: 1) History: It's the world’s first renewable energy power plant and ski slope. Opened in 2019 with cutting-edge design, CopenHill has the potential to convert 440,000 tons of waste into clean energy every year. 2) Design: It's certainly the world's most beautiful energy plant. The design is modern and can be seen throughout the city. 3) Activities: It's a ski slope during the winter, but also a hiking and running area when there isn't snow. With free entry, I ran up the entire plant to the cafe at the top with a 360 view of Copenhagen. When many tourists pay for tower climbs in central Copenhagen, you can get a better view for free at CopenHill. They also have the world's tallest rock climbing wall!

Good spot for sight seeing, nice view, they have roof top cafe and restaurant with skiing activity. The stuff. If you go by bus you have to walk a bit to this place.

Interesting place, especially as it's a free experience to see Copenhagen from the top and also see the eco friendly energy plant. On top there is just a small bar and not that much entertainment other than the nice views. I thought I would spend more time here but it's at most a 1 hr stop for me. Maybe if you like skiing this would be definitely a 5 as you can enjoy it even during the summer

Can’t comment on the ski slope itself as we didn’t go skiing but really enjoyed the experience of walking up and down the hill. It totally offers something that you don’t get anywhere else in Denmark. At the top we enjoyed pizzas which were delicious. It’s also worth taking the lift as it takes you through the waste-to-energy-plant below the ski slope.

Even if you don’t ski ⛷️- The view is worth the free trip up to the top. You can also walk up the steps to the top, get a beer, take some pictures and if the weather is nice take some panoramic pictures and then take the elevator down. The good thing with the elevator is you can see the inner workings - pretty cool Enjoy

The idea behind this building is awesome! You can have sport activities on top of the recycling stuff 🤓 and enjoy the view🤩 It’s a unique experience. The only thing that was very weird for me was the very dirty toilets next to the coffee shop on top of the building!!!!!!

Impressive building in Copenhagen. There is a lift to the top where there is a cafe and toilets. The views from the top over the city and coast are spectacular. The power station has a ski slope and a hiking route.

A must when visiting #Copenhagen Biomass power plant #Copenhill with ski slope and cafe on the rooftop. 💚 Brilliant idea! Free to visit by walking to the top or using the elevator.

A really unique skiing experience, the views are fantastic and there’s a handy cafe/bar at the top to grab a drink. Heading up the lift you also see fantastic insights into the factory as they produce energy!

Great place to hang out. You can go skiing, jogging or just have a walk in there. At the top of the building the view is great. Too bad there are no spots with clear windows where you can take pictures of the whole city.

So much fun, what an inspirational building and project! Denmark are just so innovative. The skiing on grass is nothing like snow but a lot like skiing on ice, however still lots of fun and something for the bucket list!

I could go up to the rooftop without any fee. You can either take an elevator or walk up to the top with stairs. Taller than the round tower, and the sunset was beautiful

Nice views. There is an elevator that you can take to the top, but for the fitter people there are also stairs. We took the elevator up and the stairs down. At the topt here is a little café. And of course there is a ski slope. Good experience.

This place is amazing, lots of activities to do, hiking is free and from the submit (85m) the landscape is really nice. There are available other activities like skiing and climbing.

Worth visiting, I think better in winter, as in summer you can only climb the stairs and sit in the cafe on the top looking at the views. But I gave 5 stars for a great idea, excellent implementation and huge benefits from this construction

Very exciting architecture and good for the environment. What I’m reviewing here is the actual skiing, it feels like skiing on the most icy surface you’ve ever skied on. Technic is not worth anything. Special feeling skiing in Denmark and on a power plant. Defiantly a experience but not good skiing.

Good place to go for a walk. It’s free to go to the top using stairs or the elevator. Also there is a cafe on top were you can sit and enjoy the view with coffee or beer.

Best view in Copenhagen. I spent 2 hours reading a book enjoying a carlsberg looking out to Sweden and Copenhagen. Free to walk up. Took the 2a bus from town. Highlight for me

Impressive and must see place. It's the only hill in Copenhagen. Next time, will try to ski.

This building is just amazing ! It offers so much, the access to the top is completely free and you can walk down next to the ski slope , how incredible it is the there is a ski slope on the roof of an industrial building ? On top of that the view from the top on the city is also really nice

This was such a cool place! What a great way to make an ugly place useful. We walked to the top she’s got done drinks. Great view and an easy walk.

Unforgettable memory for me. Climbing a mountain and then watching Copenhagen from the top was one of the best activities that I've decided to do there. I was lucky enough to be there when the sun was shining. Don't know how it is when it rains though.

This one is tough - the idea is amazing, the view of the city and the coast spectacular. The whole place unfortunately is already outdated & quite dirty.I went skiing, the prices are really fair for the experience, but the equipment was horrible and even as an experienced skier the slope is a huge challenge (it is like skiing on solid ice with 30 year old skis). Still it is a must see in the city and the idea itself is amazing - so please go and make this place worth for further investment

Do not that energy plant has surplus energy during the summer that they can cool snow in the summer with ?

Very interesting stucture. Not sure how the ski slope is. But the walk up to top gives a great view.

Fascinating looking building that is recycling facility and public attraction. Offering ski slope, cafe and walking path, it is an interesting place to enjoy the view and learn about sustainability in Denmark.

I think it's the highest point in Copenhague, you have everything! Drinks, view, engineering and design brilliance, sports! I loved it!

  • 3/5 Boris K. 2 years ago on Google
I am actually really disappointed with the view from the rooftop. They put windows around, and if it is raining, you cannot see anything so it is not worth climbing those steps for even more than 15 minutes

  • 5/5 Behzad H. 2 years ago on Google
It has a great view over Copenhagen which basically makes it very unique

  • 5/5 David G. 1 year ago on Google
I must confess that this place exceeded by far my expectations. Every time I saw the waste treatment plant building from a distance, I couldn't understand how people could recommend it so much. But once at the foot of such a majestic and original construction, my perception changed immediately. It seemed like a great idea to take advantage of a place that in most cities has only the function of waste management as a sports and leisure center.

It's pretty nice, really liked it, I thought it was a bit more spacious but it's not that big of a deal, went there for a party and the trash smell was kind of funny. I totally recommend going!

Nice view - elevator, stairs or climbing wall. Cafe at the base and top

  • 4/5 A H. 1 year ago on Google
A bit disappointing from the actual hill, I was certain the plants area would be much more lush. Getting to the hill was nice as well, I recommend walking instead of taking the bus, that way you can see all the beautiful places sour rounding it and are right outside the main city center.

  • 5/5 Laslo H. 2 years ago on Google
    Such an interesting place.

  • 5/5 Mo K. 1 year ago on Google
It's a very interesting facility. First, it's a waste burning site, but on top there's a bar and you can even ski from the top to the bottom. There is a ski shop as well. Furthermore, they have an outdoor climbing wall. If you like the light smell of waste in the air, you're in the right place :-)

  • 5/5 Charbel T. 2 years ago on Google
Architecture masterpiece, if you are into such things, it's a must-see. Beautiful sceneries from the top, and I recommend taking the elevator to the top and walk down. Plus, you get to see the factory and the building structure from the elevator quite a treat!

  • 4/5 Bo W. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful experience seeing how you can combine powerplant with architecture. Free if you're not using slope, suggest accessing elevator up and walk down, or if you like a challenge, can hike up/use the stairs. Wonderful views and close to Reffen for lunch. Only downside is you get wafts of garbage at some points, minor downfall the good it's doing!
