-
A
Tranquil
Haven
in
Bali's
Karoboken
Suburb
Nestled
in
the
serene
Karoboken
suburb
of
Bali,
our
stay
at
Mailaku
House
was
a
remarkable
journey
into
authenticity,
far
removed
from
the
bustling
tourist
centers.
Here,
we
discovered
the
true
essence
of
coexisting
with
the
locals,
providing
us
with
an
enriching
experience.
Our
honeymoon
was
graced
with
the
privilege
of
residing
in
one
of
Mailaku
House's
Balinese
A-Pillar
bungalows.
This
unique
abode
seamlessly
blended
Balinese
design,
both
in
its
exterior
and
interior,
creating
an
atmosphere
that
perfectly
harmonized
with
the
tranquil
surroundings.
The
ambiance
of
the
property
was
brought
to
life
by
the
soothing
sounds
of
the
infinity
pool's
flowing
waters
and
the
vibrant
presence
of
bougainvillea
plants
forming
a
pink
tapestry.
Bamboo
wind
chimes
added
a
melodic
touch,
resulting
in
a
relaxing
and
laid-back
vibe.
Mailaku
House,
run
as
a
family-operated
establishment,
offers
an
array
of
accommodation
options,
ranging
from
hotel-style
rooms
to
charming
cottages
and
distinctive
A-Pillar
bungalows.
From
the
moment
of
our
arrival,
Winda,
along
with
her
father
Made,
extended
exceptional
hospitality,
accompanied
by
welcome
drinks.
Their
insights
into
Balinese
culture,
culinary
delights,
and
captivating
photography
spots
enriched
our
stay.
Upon
check-in,
Winda
efficiently
arranged
a
scooter
rental,
thoughtfully
including
extra
helmets
for
both
of
us.
Impressively,
she
even
negotiated
a
better
deal
for
our
extended
scooter
rental.
Inside
our
A-Pillar
bungalow,
styled
with
traditional
Balinese
decor,
we
discovered
a
haven
of
comfort.
The
bungalow
featured
a
small
porch
overlooking
the
tranquil
infinity
pool.
The
interior
showcased
bamboo
straw
accents,
while
the
amenities
included
a
comfortable
king-sized
bed,
air
conditioning,
a
tv,
a
mini-bar
fridge
complemented
by
a
small
kitchenette,
ample
storage,
and
an
amazing
outdoor
shower
that
embraced
the
island's
outdoor
living.
Every
day,
the
bungalow
was
meticulously
serviced,
ensuring
fresh
linens,
towels,
and
complimentary
water.
The
ever-smiling
on-site
staff
promoted
a
warm
environment,
always
eager
to
engage
in
friendly
conversations.
Winda
and
Made
were
instrumental
in
guiding
us
to
excellent
dining
choices
in
the
Kerobokan,
Seminyak
&
Legian
area,
and
their
recommendations
for
our
scooter
exploration
to
Ubud
were
invaluable.
Kerobokan's
abundance
of
local
warungs
along
the
main
road
offered
delightful
dining
options,
and
Winda's
guidance
led
us
to
the
great
street
food
experiences.
With
nearby
convenience
stores,
such
as
Indomaret
and
Alfamart,
all
essentials
were
conveniently
accessible.
Mailaku
House's
own
warung
provided
an
array
of
fresh,
budget-friendly,
and
mouthwatering
dishes,
from
Balinese
coffee
to
chicken
soup,
croissants
to
chicken
curry,
and
Mi
Goreng.
Winda
was
always
ready
with
local
suggestions
if
they
didn't
have
what
we
wanted
to
try.
For
those
with
scooters
or
hired
cars,
Kerobokan
is
an
ideal
base,
free
from
the
commotion
of
busier
locales.
Convenient
food
delivery
through
the
Grab
app
and
the
presence
of
nearby
warungs
further
enhanced
the
experience.
The
hospitality
of
Winda,
Made,
and
their
family,
combined
with
the
exceptional
accommodation
and
culinary
offerings,
crafted
a
truly
enchanting
stay
at
Mailaku
House.
We
look
forward
to
reliving
this
magical
experience
again.
