Petitenget Beach is a truly stunning destination located in the Seminyak area of Bali, Indonesia. The beach is known for its clear blue waters, long stretch of golden sand, and breathtaking sunsets. It's an ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing and for relaxing in a beautiful atmosphere. The beach is also lined with a variety of trendy bars and restaurants, making it a great option for both food and drinks. One of the most memorable experiences I had at Petitenget beach was when my friends and I organized a photoshoot to commemorate our high school graduation. We arrived at the beach in the afternoon, with plans to catch the sunset, but unfortunately, the day was overcast and we weren't able to see the sun go down. Despite the weather, we set up our cameras and tripods on the sandy shore and proceeded to take some wonderful photos. The overcast sky provided a unique atmosphere that was definitely different from the typical bright and sunny beach shots. We took turns posing in front of the camera, capturing our excitement and joy of graduating high school. Even though we didn't see the sunset, the overcast sky and the different lighting provided a unique backdrop for our photos that we were very pleased with. Overall, Petitenget Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Bali. The natural beauty of the beach, combined with the wide range of dining and entertainment options, make it the perfect place to relax and unwind and make unforgettable memories with friends. Even if you don't catch the sunset, the beach still offer a great opportunity to capture wonderful memories.

A lovely sandy beach in Seminyak with big waves and amenities a plenty! I did run into an injured blue banded sea krait which is highly venomous however. Luckily I know the dangers and was able to advise people in the immediate vicinity to steer clear. They can kill people so bare this in mind if you come across one on your travels to the beach

Contrary to what some friends said (that beaches in this part of Bali are littered with trash), the long stretch from W Hotel all the way down to The Seminyak Resort and Spa was largely clean during my visit from June 7-9. Yes there was still the occasional rubbish here and there, but nothing compared to what I had feared. We walked up and down the beach in the morning and in the afternoon and found the experience very pleasant. It wasn't crowded either. I am not sure if it's due to low season, or if the beach was clean because there had been major cleanups for World Oceans Day, but we're happy with how well the local authorities have kept the beach clean. I hope they can keep it this way!

Sun bed was 100k IDR for however long you needed and can use the shower facilities at the beach bar. Seemed expensive to me. Lifeguard was around collecting sun bed money but not sure how safe it was to swim when i was there as he disappeared and so wasnโ€™t attentive when people were in the sea. Came 5 years ago and was more of a vibe. Gin bar opened up with bean bags and tables for sunset.

Cheap option to see pretty grey sandy beach view and sunset with a wide shoreline. Make sure to come earlier, to avoid too much crowd and find perfect spot to catch beautiful sunset. Easy access car parking with admission of IDR 5K/car.

Always crowded during sunsets but there is plenty of space for everyone. This beach stretches to south and north giving you many miles to walk for. It also has spacious parking space for cars and bikes. Bring your own beach towel if you want to sit here. If you donโ€™t, walk to the south to seminyak beach, theyโ€™d have sun lounger available for rent.

Free access, dark grey fine sand, awesome view of sunset and carefree vibes without having to pay for drinks or beach club. The best things in nature come free. 5 mins walk to most happening stretch in Petitenget dining/ clubbing area

Between the surrounding beaches, i prefer Petitenget than the others. It is wider and open, still have trees cause there are luxury hotels in front of it. It feels really nice to be here PS : there is no such thing as "away", when we throw anything away, it must go somewhere.

The beach is quite clean, there is two little river, near the gate and near the beach club, but i think the water is dirty since it is a estuary river. There some food stall that organize nicely, the car and bike park also large and neat. There also one pretty temple, if we lucky we can see any Hinduโ€™s ceremony there

Visited this place in the late afternoon at low tide. We walked along the beach with our phones; every shot is so picturesque. We spotted a local releasing offerings by the beach and prayed. There are satay booths and drink stalls by the beach too for those who prefer munching while enjoying the spectacular sunset view.

Great beach for sunset photos. Paid car/bike park which gets busy (as does the beach). Small basic food court between the car park and beach with some cheap tasty offerings. Also some food vendors walking the beach. Can be crowded around the main entrance but walk a few minutes in either direction and youโ€™ll have more space. Some trash on the beach but generally a lot cleaner than others along this stretch.

It's surprisingly no crowd at all during the peak season, maybe because it was freaking hot (11am). The beach was quiet during the time, deserted, and a non commercial beach. Can't stay too long due to the heat. But outside from the beach area, has a very nice satay place called bu Manis (it was very spicy though, if you can't eat too spicy, perhaps you need to ask).

We went here around 12pm, it was very very nice, beautiful and less people, maybe because of the time. But we love it. We can see a bit of trash, hope it will be cleaner and they will take care of it. Overall itโ€™s a breathtaking.

Great beach to surf but sand is pretty yucky. Can see a great sunset on a good day but sadly I couldnโ€™t see it.

A better version of Kuta, imo. You don't get hounded by vendors every five minutes or so, so you can actually relax and enjoy the beach. Cleaner, too.

Along this beach and all others has beautiful sunset to offer, no doubt about it! You can relax at the beach club with your Mojito or just sit on the sand by the beach or simply walking along the beach... you can do all at your convenience. Best to come before sunset.

This beach is not only for enjoying the sunset at the end of the day, it is also used for people to do sports, both running and walking in the morning and evening. There are also many dog โ€‹โ€‹lovers who spend time with their pets here, equipped with a food court, toilets and a large parking area with parking fees of 2k for motorbikes and 5k for cars. Below are 137 Turtle eggs found in front of The Legian by the security officer who worked there and all of these eggs will be hatched in captivity. I don't forget to add because there are trash cans according to type in every corner, please throw the trash in its place.

I am a professional photographer. I ve been shot here. One of my favorite spots for sunset beach around south Bali. I always love to shoot at Petitenget at sunset. Really wide beach view.

A nice way to wrap up your day. We paid IDR50,000 for two deck chairs to watch the sunset.

One of the most beautiful sunset beaches. You can enjoy the sunset while eating a portion of spring rolls. Many local people sell it. You also only pay for a very cheap entrance ticket!

One of the best beaches in Bali when it comes to sunset. Itโ€™s very crowded but itโ€™s worth to visit. The waves are good for surfing but I think it's not kids friendly in some spots. I will visit Petitenget Beach again in the future for sure!

Lovely sunset views. Great place to visit from 4.30pm onwards, to people watch or to play with your dogs. There are some local street snacks and plenty of parking space, although it's still best to reach early.

the beach has a beautiful sunset, can also be a place for casual sports such as jogging, or praying at the temple, a large parking area and there are also food stands like pork satay. free beach entry, just pay for parking which is cheap. bathroom facilities are also available.

A little crowded when I came but not too crowded like Kuta beach. Itโ€™s clean and there are a lot of street vendors so you can fill your tummy if hungry. The sunset view is absolutely breathtaking though. I enjoy spending my time alone here

Nothing better than just sat down, watched the sunsets and enjoy your surrounding. I love this beach, came to this beach whenever came to Bali. In the morning it gets tranquil because there's no people, you could help to clean the plastic trash if you want. The best time to came is around 4.30pm when the sun a little set, and not blazing hot. Don't forget to bring you sarong, and cold drink! This is the photos i took (almost) everyday during our stay in seminyak area. The sunset was beautiful, though some day it gets cloudy and gloomy. Definitely one of my favourite place to just zoning out ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒป

one of my favourite sunset beach especially when itโ€™s off season. Unfortunately the more people visit the more rubbish you will find. In the corner of the parking lot you can find pork satay vendor. They are delicious! I recommend the one from Bu Manis.
