Honestly, this is an overall pretty good place to workout. The equipment is up to date, the gym is spacious and seems to be clean. The one star is to reflect a racial encounter that occurred recently. I was told by a front desk rep that she did not have to let me in due to “my demeanor and body language”. I would challenge Ben and his staff to practice diversity inclusion to make the gym more inviting to people of all races, colors and genders.

Staff is very friendly and overall has a comfortable atmosphere for working out unlike most places.

Really clean and safe environment. Been there quite a few times while visiting my family and love the environment and equipment. They have equipment that I wish my gym in Virginia would have. And the people are nice and polite. The bathrooms are kept clean which is a huge plus. I try to make a point to stop in and get my work out on whenever I'm in town.

Such a great gym!! I'been to many gyms over the years and no gym can compare to Gold's Gym Albemarle. They have all the machines and free weights you could want/need. Such a overall great gym atmosphere. From the staff to the people working out everyone is nice.

I have had wonderful experiences since joining golds. It's definitely a satisfying feeling knowing you are doing something to help yourself. The staff are friendly, the other members are friendly and the classes are amazing, but do kick my butt every time. I beleive Golds opening here in stanly county has changed alot of lives for the better.

Gold's offer an awesome environment to workout in. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable, the manager says hey and calls you by name, and the individuals who workout there are friendly too. The gym offers a wide variety of machines, free weights, cardio machines, and classes. You have everything you need to change your lifestyle and always stay motivated.

As the biggest Icon in professional trucking, and arguably the best looking man in 4, possibly 5 counties; there's only one gym that I call home: Golds Gym in Albemarle ;)

Gold's Gym in Albemarle is the best gym in Stanly County to go to. Trinida was very informative of the services and equipment at the gym. I recommend anyone interested in a gym environment to visit, or become a member of Gold's Gym.

Recently, I called the gym to obtain information on personal training sessions and the attendant (Kacey Medlin) was very helpful. She answered all my questions and ensured that I had all the necessary information.

Gold's Gym is by far the best gym in Stanly County. Briana at the front desk is super nice and very respectable.

Awesome gym!! It's always so clean and organized. The staff is great too. Briana has helped me on several occasions and she is very knowledgeable. I'll definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area or just passing through!

I love working out at this location! The owner and staff are very friendly and very attentive. The equipment is well maintained and the gym is clean. They have a small daycare and a basketball court.

Great gym, been going for around 6 months. Has everything I want and need. Staff and owner are friendly and provide great service and help when you need it. All around very worth it for my money. I don't think many gyms could match the quality of this one, especially not any in the area. Will definitely be sad when I have to move away for college.

It's so nice. Being a parent and having child care is fantastic. It's clean, the staff is very nice and you have a great selection of equipment. My only complaint...its way too quiet for serious lifters. You've got to let out some grunts and stuff!

I give 5 stars because I love this place. I can't sleep at night so I go to the gym at like 2-3 am and it's so peaceful. However work is needed the locker rooms and not the best but I can work with it. The staff are amazing very friendly and Knowledgeable.

The gym itself isn’t bad it has everything you would need but the people who workout here are dbags and don’t put there weight up

I have to say that Ben is amazing. If you have a problem he takes care of it. Even though I’m unable to be a member at this gym at this time, I will be back in the future.

This gym is wonderful. Plenty of room and plenty of equipment. The turf area is fantastic, especially with the 2 red sleds they have. A vast amount of treadmills upstairs and more cardio equipment on the 1st floor. Overall, it’s a solid gym. Plus the manager is wonderful and displays a warm, professional customer service. Selfless work ethic and willing to help you out any way he can.

Love this gym!! I've tried several gyms over the years and no gym can compare to Gold's Gym Albemarle. They have all the machines and free weights you could want/need. Pretty nice gym. I've been to bigger in bigger cities but considering the city it's actually pretty nice.

My family and I loved Gold's Gym!! The atmosphere was great, great workers and facility!! We go to a different gym now only because it was cheaper for our family, not because we didn't like it. I have a lot of friends who work out here and I know a couple of staff who love it!! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking!!

I highly recommend this gym. Not only is it clean, but they also have a great variety of equipment. Serenity and all of the front desk staff are so friendly and helpful. Also, Ben is great at managing the gym.

I absolutely love this gym! I've been to others and never get an experience like I have with this one. Dallas is always so friendly and personable when I walk in the door. Ben is always attentive to all guests, helping in anyway he can with a constant smile on his face. There are more than enough free weights and you will never wait for a treadmill. Kacey, always being nice to look at, makes my gym experience a total pleasure :) If you are looking for personal training, Bartraius is the man to see.

Gold's Gym Albemarle is a great place to work on your physical fitness! When you walk in the door the staff is always very friendly with smiles on their faces. The workout classes are fun and the instructors are excellent. There is also a basketball court that I always see people utilizing. There is plenty of muscle strengthening and cardiovascular equipment and I rarely find myself having to wait to use something. The staff makes great protein shakes as well!! I really enjoy coming to this gym after a long day at work to relieve my stress from the day... it's just a great place all around!

Are you paying these people for their 5 star reviews? I have recently sent two emails complaining about the broken ac in your gym amongst other problems that need to be fixed and have yet to get a response. I work out there 5-6 days a week and the temps every day range from 76-78 on the upstairs unit and 74-76 on the downstairs unit. These are set on 67 and 68 degrees. I had to leave one day because the air was so thick in there I couldn't breathe. When I asked the manager about this he said "the owner is getting quotes on getting it fixed". Here's the best part..... Talking to an employee several days later about it and they tell me the air has been broken for years but this is the first summer it's been real noticeable. Nice job. This place is a breeding ground for bacteria and #1 being MRSA. I'm contemplating calling the health dept and see if they will do an inspection. Where are our member fees going? Sorry but not sorry to bring this to Yelp but you ignored me when I emailed you. People in there are not happy about the broken air, the broken equipment and still wondering where all the upgrades are that were promised.

Gold's gym is a great place to go. I have been a couple of times and my daughter currently goes there now. I would recommend gold's gym to anyone. It is the best.

Love this gym. So far the best I have been to the staff is amaizing. Trina was very helpful and friendly while helping me understand their services. The equipment is well maintained and in great condition.

Gold's Gym Albemarle is one of the best gyms to ever hit Albemarle. I've been apart of it since the doors open. I truly enjoy the friendly staff members, amazing equipment, and all GGX classes. This gym has everything you need to achieve your weight loss goals.
