West Trailhead

Tourist attraction Park Hiking area

👍👍 One of my favorite close to Denver hikes. Easy trail. Great history. You can explore an old castle destroyed by lightning and see the corner stone of the dream of a western White House. Great views of red rocks and the front range. Bring a lunch and there are good spots to enjoy the view and eat... People often mention views,

Great place for a hike any time of year. Go visit the ruins or catch views of the Divide and Denver. Nice place to go with out of town visitors. Plenty of trail options to meet you skill and time needs. Beautiful views all around. Note: parking lots can fill up quickly so plan accordingly. May need spike in icy conditions and make sure you have plenty of water on warm days. Remember to pack in and out and let the wildlife enjoy the surrounding as well. What a nice gift to have so close to town.

Mount falcon park is beautiful open space with 5-6 trails ranging from easy to tough difficulty levels.. parmalee, tower, castle, meadow trails are moderate easy hikes 2-3 miles in length and providing great views of the landscape.. there are 2 towers with great views on tower trail.. castle trail has real castle ruins 100 years old 🙂.. carry lot of water, and map.. 2 parking lots easily get occupied on weekends..so start early..

What a fun day! Trails were amazing considering it’s November. There were some Difficult areas but with breaks and a steady pace I was able to get to all the amazing views.

Very nice free park. This is the first place I visited when flying into Denver since it's only about an hour from the airport. Some easy trails and a few slightly difficult, just watch your step because of the rocks. Beautiful views!

Great hike! Family friendly loops. Ample parking. Perfect for beginners. Great views! I could see this getting busy during the weekend with it's proximity to Denver.

If you want to see a beautiful view in nearly 360 degrees without having to do any hiking then this is a great spot to come and catch a sunset and just enjoy the outdoors. There are some easy terrain trails throughout this park and picnic tabled with shelters to come and enjoy a picnic with the family.
