Inspiring collection of Scotch, including some that are very hard to find!! Tried the Steak & Stout shepherd-style pie and it tasted great! The fries on the side were so-so. Would give them a 5-star rating for their beverage list alone, except we sat outside and as the sun set we were swarmed by mosquitoes.. My first time being swarmed like that since moving from FL! Unfortunately, nothing was being done about that such as being offered to move to a table indoors.

A hidden gem in the Broomfield area. Great pub atmosphere, with classic British fare and 500 whiskeys. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had the beef wellington special for dinner on a Thursday, beef was cooked perfectly and the pastry was light and flaky. I highly recommend stopping in if you find yourself in the area.

I have literally been waiting years to find a beef Wellington here in Denver. This place absolutely delivers with quality food and service. We made a 45 minute drive up here and will absolutely do it again. The poutine appetizer was amazing and the beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. Whiskey selection here is completely unmatched as well. Highly recommend stopping by!

Love supporting a family owned business that really puts love, time and superb detail into all the food and drinks! The Scottish/English/Irish/Welsh history behind your choices in Menu, drinks and decor is much appreciated. Best Fish and Chips we have had in all the States, and noted the cool newspaper print the Fish and Chips was served in! VERY worth the drive there. Not one item on the Menu each visit has failed to HIGHLY impress. We glady tell friends and family about this great found Gem👍👍

I love The Burns Pub. My go-to after spending the morning hiking in the mountains. Or if I have friends/family visiting, I’ll make the drive from Brighton. It’s a small family-owned business and they do a wonderful job. Exactly the kind of business you WANT to support. Pictured here is the Scotch Egg, and the Fish & Chips. Both dishes were fantastic, perfectly cooked, and delicious. So is pretty much everything else on the menu. Last time I was there, a middle aged couple sat at the table next to me. I noticed the guy ordered the same things I did. Eventually i finished and was heading back to my car, the guy was outside having a smoke. He stopped me and asked about the dessert I ordered (sticky toffee pudding, by the way, and it’s incredible). After I told him, he said he’ll recommend it to his wife. He noticed I was there but didn’t order a drink, so he figured “this guy must be here for the food” and purposely ordered whatever I ordered 😂 he thanked me because he loved his lunch, I told him “you really can’t go wrong with anything on this menu” and it’s true.

Absolutely amazing. Food was incredible, phenomenal selection of whiskey, great service. It hits all the marks. A great experience overall. Update. I came back to dig deeper into their scotch selection. Had the owner himself make some suggestions for what what I was looking for. He nailed it! And they have live music on Sundays! I can't say enough about this place.

Excellent little English pub. It’s cozy inside and small. Authentic English beers by the bottle, Fuller’s bitter and Sam Smiths IPA are definite stand outs. Also highly recommend the seafood Weinberg, shrimp and scallops swimming in a creamy lobster sauce with a little spice!

I have been coming to Burns Pub for a few years now. They never disappoint. I have had their pies, Beef Wellington, their sandwiches… The food is AMAZING, drinks are dangerously good and the service is above and beyond.

I have not been to an Irish pub in quite a while, whereas when I lived in NYC it was possibly a weekly event! While this is a bit of a British/Irish combo, it still was a fun experience. We had a group of 4 in a corner booth and just had a good time over quality food. We even got a little bit of the happy hour which was nice as they do half portions at half price and discounted drinks. The Corned Beef Poutine was probably my favorite highlight from the meal. Everything else was solid - I am sure we will make our way back here in the near future. We were hoping to enjoy a bit of the live music on Sunday nights but either we were too far away to really hear it or they had not started yet - but hopefully we can get that bonus next time.

This was quite possibly the best meal I've had in a very long time. All of the food was excellent, the service was attentive and quick, and the environment was cozy and welcoming. We happened upon it by chance and will definitely be back! We ordered the bangers in a blanket which were excellent, Shepard's pie which was loaded with flavor, and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. My son ordered a burger that he devoured and our friend ordered the Colorado bangers and mash.

Everything is hand made from scratch. I got a "Black Adder" to drink, which is hard cider layered with stout, and ordered the "Winner Winner" to eat, which was grilled chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes, covered in ale cheese sauce, with a circumference of broccoli. In the middle of the mash was a hidden cave of peas with bacon. It was pure gluttony, and oh so good. I've been there twice in two weeks, and will certainly go back. Sundays they said they have live Irish music, which I would love to go to, as well. They also have over 350 whiskeys (I think that was the number).

Excellent food and drinks.. we had the Scottish Bangers for starters.. oh my!! So tender.. very lean.. honey mustard sauce perfect! We had Beef Wellington and Fish n chips. Very fresh cod.. chunks not filets..light tasty batter, not greasy at all.. Beef was very tender , great flavor.. gravies were flavorful! I like Rye Whiskey and has the Laws San Luis Valley Rye.. very smooth!! Also tried the Highlands Speyburn.. quite smooth!!

5 stars for the Scotch bar, 4.5 for the food, 5 for the service. English food with Scottish flair. The Beef Wellington was the special and quite nice. The pie of the day got switched in the kitchen after we ordered, the chicken was good enough but we were looking forward to the Highland beef. The bangers were not up to standard; not finely ground enough and not enough rusk, and they were grisly- we expected better. Spoke to one of the family that runs the place and she will look into their sourcing as the bangers are made locally for them. Great location! Got to sit in the courtyard on a lovely fall evening. Excellent selection of whisky!

Love music was a great addition to the ambience of the pub. A couple of the drinks were served in the wrong type of glass, but that’s easily overlooked with the delicious food that was brought out.

OMGoodness ... totally the BEST hidden gem in Broomfield, CO! If you are looking for some authentic British food, this is the place! Wonderful and genuinely friendly people, family owned, wonderful small British Pub/Restaurant (made me feel like I was back in London) and delicious food too!! I highly recommend visiting The Burns Pub & Restaurant!

Found this place on Google maps. I wanted pub style fish and chips and they delivered, was amazing. The bartender John suggested the Aviation drink and it was good I also ordered a long Island tea was amazing he knows how to make his drinks and he is very knowledgeable about his whiskeys and everything that they have in hand at the bar, that not every bar has. For desert I had bread pudding with a scoop of is ice cream that was so good.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and superior customer service. This was our second time here and it did not disappoint. We both got poutine and it was exceptional. We were going to share a bowl but thank goodness we didn't. I could have had a whole nother bowl if I wasn't already comfortably full. We'll be back. So many more things we want to try. Tequila cream cheese on a burger to name at least one. Yum!

160 types of whiskey. A whiskey sommelier who knows his stuff and is willing to take the time to share his knowledge. Fresh and crispy fish and chips. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. What is not to like? I'd give them another star if I could.

This is easily my favorite restaurant in the area. I've had almost every entry on their menu and many of their specials. In no particular order, my favorites are their ruben sandwiches (they corn their own beef), the Manhatten pie (venison with some Manhatten cocktail with a pie crust), the tikka masala, and any fish of the day they may have. I make a habit of exploring new restaurants as often as possible but haven't found anything better than this place after two years. The only ding is they're very busy on Friday and Saturday night so you will have to wait or come early or late if you want to dine on those days. They cook everything from scratch so may run out of certain items by the end of the night. And while they're open until 10 the kitchen closes at 9.

  • 4/5 Tony B. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent food. Bangers and mash, and the pastry sausages are incredible. Fish was hot and flaky on the outside, but cool and dense in the middle? Fish batter also came away from fish in whole piece. Honestly a bit disappointed in the technicals on fish and chips, but it all tasted great and was seasoned well. Vibes were pleasant.

If you are a lover of Reubens, visiting The Burns must be on your to-do list for the Denver/Boulder area. It's easily one of the best I've ever had. There's no ingredient that takes center stage -- it's a perfect montage. The fried fish is good but was bland to us. The fries are huge and still wear their skins. Solid flavors, friendly staff, and quick service despite a packed house earn this English pub a 5/5.

Great food. Try the Poutine, Fish and Chips and the Reuben Sandwich. Corned Beef is their specialty so order stuff with that. And get their home made Ginger Beer. The place is very cozy, the staff is very polite (🇬🇧), prices reasonable, large dishes, and quick service. Connected to a Hilton Hotel lobby....

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. After a really terrible Friday at work, decided to stop in and get a to go order. BOY am I glad I did. This place is FANTASTIC. I wish I had dined in. While I waited I sat at the bar, they have an IMPRESSIVE selection of whiskeys. I want to go back just for that some time. Alas, that’s not what this review is about. So my food was 10 minutes old by the time I ate it. It was still fantastic even then. Scotch Egg and a Reuben. Both were amazing but the scotch egg really hit the spot. They need to sell them in dozens, I’d eat just those. The Reuben was amazing as well but I feel it’d be better if I ate it there. Which means it’s one of the best Reuben’s in Denver, it was even lukewarm. I cannot WAIT to go back here and try something else. The nice woman I chatted with at the bar had something that looked like a traditional UK style dinner (meat and potatoes), it looked wonderful as well. I’d say this is on my top 5 restaurants in Denver; easily. Go her.

I went here for the first time the other night with my boyfriend, and we had a lovely time. I had never been to a “British Themed Pub” and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was! Overall I totally recommend this place for your next night out.

  • 5/5 Nick H. 5 months ago on Google
Best fish n chips in the US so far, and I'm British! A few tips tho to make it absolutely 10/10 perfect. 1) Double pour Guinness properly, it was bitter tasting with no domed head, classic symptoms of a sub standard pour, easily fixed 2) 30 seconds more on the fish fry and would be amazing, was very very good tho especially compared to other 'British' places in the area (and I've tried a few!) Plus was a normal sized fish unlike tiny pieces in other places, so Kudos on that score 3) More chips, little lacking on the qty 4) The Tartar sauce was very sweet, so didn't like it, needs less sweetness and more lemon 5) The sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING!!!! Custard was extremely runny, thicken it up more and would be perfect, but this didn't detract from an absolutely perfect pudding, so tasty and you could taste the proper golden syrup, I nearly ordered another one. Overall I would highly recommend this place, I'm just seeking absolute perfection, and this place is so so close! Hope you enjoy!!

‘closest thing I’ve had since moving back to the USA’ is a quote from both our kids. My only complaint would be it’s too American when it comes to the atmosphere. We love the quaintness of the pubs in England which this doesn’t miss the mark that much and would never discourage us from returning. Slightly disappointed because they didn’t have Old Speckled Hen or Belhaven Scottish Ale in stock. Now to the AWESOME points. The food! Beef Wellington easily the best I’ve had, fish and chips even better than what you would get in the England. Chips have a small difference from those typical in England too but for the better!! Don’t forget the Shepard’s Pie Service was excellent and we will be back! New favorite in the area for sure

Great food, great atmosphere! We had the shepherds pie and the reuben, and I would definitely recommend both of them. They had live music when we were there and it was so much fun! Excellent selection of drinks, especially if you're fond of whiskey. We will definitely back!

Our cozy, unassuming neighborhood favorite. I had never met a British pub in the US I’d liked (they tend toward flavorless and fusty), so I was shocked to come to the Burns for the first time and find such a lovely, scratch-made meal. I’m generally on the hunt for trendy restaurants; the Burns is anything but, yet I love it. That kitchen is clearly full of people who love food. My boyfriend and I come regularly and have tried nearly all of the menu. Everything is wonderful. You can do no wrong. He loves the pie of the day. I love the scotch egg and lemon shallot wings. Prices are kind enough to our wallets that I never feel bad suggesting a dinner at the Burns… even if we had just been there just last week.

A hidden gem. Was craving seafood and found this little spot. The seafood wenberg is incredible and extremely savory and rich; delicious. Boyfriend got the special which was equally delicious and fragrant. The seafood was all around perfectly cooked, flaky and soft, and not overdone , rubbery, or dry. Nice scotch selection as well.

Directed here by a client for a quick business lunch and was not disappointed. Food is hot, hearty and generous - pretty much what you'd expect for a Scottish pub. A very creditable sticky toffee pudding and huge selection of whiskys that we will be back to sample another time.

Great traditional pub and menu and scotch selection. Guinness draft. I had the fish and chips and banger from the happy hour menu. Plenty of food. Very tasty. The tartar sauce was the best, slight hint of garlic! Plenty of seating in various rooms or at the bar or outside deck when weather is favorable. Plenty of parking near the front and along the side too. Check it out. You will be glad you did.

If you like whiskey and pub grub, then you will find this place to be amazing! The fish and chips are cut and fried seemingly by a god, and the whiskey scotch bourbon selection is one of the best anywhere hands down. Also really good food items are the shepherds pie and reuben.

amazing and authentic British pub food. I took a colleague who was visiting from England the burns pub and he said it was really really good... I think that gets the local stamp of approval for legitimate British pub fare!

Great Irish food. The savory pie of the day was chicken and mushroom. Delicious, flavorful filling with a light, flaky crust. The bangers in blankets come in increments of 2 and while the pickles onions sound like they'd be potent, they were mild and went great with the sausage. Service was fast and very courteous!

The Reuben is terrific. Thick-cut corned beef that they brine themselves and a good mix of sauerkraut and dressing. I had this for lunch along with the 6 layer chocolate cake which was also very tasty.

So I forgot to take pictures, but this place is excellent. Had the fish and chips this time, but I'm looking forward to going back and trying many more things! The fish was flakey and the batter was light and crisp and delicious. The fish came through in each bite, but not on that kind of unpleasant fishy way that can sometimes happen. Next time I'm getting a scotch egg and a Rubin!

AMAZING FOOD! Serving up traditional Irish-British dishes with great flavor and quality ingredients. Their weekly specials are always described when seated. The Veggie Curry (can add chicken) has the right amount of spice, citrus and is loaded with fresh veggies served over perfectly cooked rice. The Shepard's Pie is made with lamb, traditional style; it is a comfort food dish with steaming homemade gravy layered between braised lamb, creamy mash and is topped colorful green peas. This place has grown in popularity, expect to wait for a table (but its worth it). Dished are priced are the higher side, however this is fair per the quality and portion you receive. Great, knowledgable, tentative staff.

Such tasty food! We had the fish and chips (the best I've ever had!), the reuben, and the irish poutine. The corned beef they serve is insanely good. We had it delivered due to COVID and it was quick and piping hot when it arrived. We have lived in Broomfield for the last 3 years and cannot believe we have been missing out on the Burns Pub. I can't say enough about this friendly, awesome restaurant in Broomfield. Since it's a British/Scottish pub there were dishes I've always wanted to try. I've had fish and chips before, but wanted to try the cod. Yum! Since we had eaten Poutine as an appetizer, I chose to have a salad with my fish, which also came with a small helping of Bacon Peas. If you like peas, you'll love this! My friend ordered fish and chips, but with coleslaw (I'm having that next time!). My other friend had Vegetarian Tikka Masala with chicken, which he loved. Both friends had hard cider and I started with an old favorite, Moscow Mule. Delish! But I HAD to try a Pimm's Cup, and now I have another fave drink! We couldn't resist trying the Sticky Toffee Pudding because I'd heard so much about it in the reviews. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Will we go back? We all agreed it's a keeper on our list of favorite restaurants! I was so busy enjoying, I forgot to take pictures! And Broomfield is so pretty we thoroughly enjoyed the drive. You'll be glad you tried this restaurant/pub.
