I had really really high hopes from this restaurant and finally got a weeknight dinner reservation. Good things first - the ambience is classy and warm. Perfect for a date night or gathering of friends/family. Drinks are good - I ordered Blackberry slush something and it was good (very leas alcohol, mostly just juice) I am very sad to say this but the food was average and very pricey for what they serve quantity and quality wise. We ordered spider roll which had such a pungent smell and horrible taste that I did not eat after one bite. It smelled filthy! The other rolls were okish. I had high expectations from the tiger prawns dish. For a dish that costs $30, they serve 5 pieces of tiger prawns with a teeny tiny bit of mango chunks (which they call mango salsa) and a scoop of mashed potatoes. The prawns were kind of bland and not grilled to perfection. We paid around $120 for 2 people and still had to go home and eat. Did not want to try desserts and we were let down by the food and very pricey dinner (which was not worth it) I would not go back here again. Just wanted to see what all the hype is about Sushi den. There are way better sushi spots in Denver!

Let me tell you about my new sushi obsession – this place is the bees knees, which I've heard is a good thing. It's my all-time favorite sushi restaurant, and every visit feels like a culinary rollercoaster ride. First things first, the selection here is out of this world. I swear, they've got rolls I didn't even know existed, like sushi from another dimension. I mean, who knew you should put that kind of stuff on sushi and have it taste like heaven in a bite? But it's not just about the sushi – their beer and sake selections are top-notch too. It's like they have a drink menu that's been curated by the alcohol gods themselves. And let's not forget about the wait staff – they're the real MVPs. Always cheerful, quick with recommendations, and willing to join in on the quirky banter, they make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is a whole vibe, but here's the catch – you better snag a reservation, because this place is so popular, it's like trying to get a front-row seat at a sold-out concert. Trust me, though, it's worth every effort. If you're up for a sushi adventure like no other, this place is a must-visit!

The best sushi in Denver proper! Everything starting from daily specials, miso soup, sushi rolls were fresh and delicious. Get a seat at the Chef’s table! It’s a bit pricey but totally worth every penny!

A+++ dining experience. We got there right at 5 and sat at the bar. Very happy we made that choice! Our bartender/server was extraordinary - some of the best service I've ever experienced. The sushi was all delicious as well. And the blood orange cocktail was seriously top 3 for me!

Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. They fly sushi in from Japan daily and all of it was incredible and not run of the mill sushi you could get anywhere. We had a waitress who gave us recommendations we followed fully to great success. This is THE Denver sushi spot, don’t miss it.

I’ve been coming here for years on special occasions. They always have high quality sushi standard and it has been consistent throughout the year even post pandemic. Always ask your server for their favorite since reading 4-5 different menus can be overwhelming. The food quality and presentation are excellent. Highly recommend this place.

This place is fire, but you're gonna pay for it. The fish quality is as good as any place I've ever had in NYC, LA, Japan. I was going to give it 4 stars because the only thing I can say that could use a little work was the rice. It wasn't bad by any means, the texture was good but not the best I've ever had, and it could have been seasoned a little better. The rice can make or break a place but it was good, and the fish quality 5 stars plus.

This is an amazing place to get sushi in Denver, I'd recommend it to anyone traveling here. While unassuming from the outside, the inside has a great atmosphere and some of the best sushi I ever had. They have a great selection of fresh fish to choose from, and plenty of hot entrees as well. The neighborhood nearby is also great to walk around with several restaurants and bars.

Been coming to Sushi Den for many years and have always enjoyed the top quality of the sushi. I travel often all over the world and have tried so many sushi restaurants. Sushi Den is in my top 3. The service is consistently friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and fun. The food is what brings me back time and time again. Now that I live overseas anytime I’m back in Denver I make a visit here.

I have never seen a Japanese restaurant so busy in my life! They have about 100 tables in 2 levels full packed at 8:30pm. About 10-15 sushi chefs working nonstop. Yes you better make a reservation. We got a late reservation but the hosts got us in 40min earlier. The service and food was excellent! There is always a reason when the restaurant is so busy right? We would come back again next time in Denver 👍

My husband and I did the omakase at Sushi Den. Overall, I think their sushi and nigiri are the most worth it because the quality is phenomenal. Their oysters were very fresh and their cod and eggplants were cooked perfectly too (the eggplant was a very planar surprise, really loved the flavor). Now, where I’m deducting a star is for the hand rolls we got which we believe were extremely underwhelming and for the snow crab w/ caviar which primarily tasted of mayo… which I thought was insanely disappointing. These items also made up the biggest portion of our check so it was very unfortunate. I think if they took those out and gave us more sushi / nigiri instead, we would’ve been beyond happy. With that said, overall we had a good experience and again, the quality of the seafood was amazing. I would recommend, just be mindful of the hand rolls and snow crab (esp if you don’t like mayo!)

This place has it all. The best sushi I've ever had by far. Service has always been great. Suggestions on pairings of sake and sushi are always amazing. Servers definitely take their time with each table. Ambience is outstanding. Definitely a spot to keep coming back to and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great sushi experience.

This was our first time going here as we have been seeking an alternative sushi place to Bamboo that is closer to us in Glendale. We think we found it. Our first impression of the restaurant was good. The ceilings are high with warm yellow lighting and the walls house modern art. The sushi bar is the heart of this establishment, though. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed three rolls and some crispy rice. The fish was as fresh as you could hope for, and the presentation and creativity of each dish really wowed us. We loved the use of fresh green ingredients to give life to some of the rolls. We ate crispy spicy tuna, new style salmon roll, firecracker tuna, and crispy bincho rolls. Our chef was extremely kind and checked in with us to help us pick our dishes which he then artfully prepared. Spent $95 total including tip. Even the beer was crisp and cold. We will definitely be back here. 10/10 would recommend and will likely bring guests here in the future.

I mean, at this point isn't this place a Denver institution? The best sushi in town. Highly recommend reservations, and if you do, highly recommend the Chef's Table. You can chat with the sushi chef and learn about what you're eating. So cool! Everything is absolutely delicious. The chefs are very knowledgeable. I got a piece of chocolate cake and lychee sorbet for my birthday. Thankfully no singing. All in all, a must visit if sushi is your thing. No parking lot, and it's a busy street, so cab or Lyft would be your best bet. No REAL dress code, but I'd probably say smart casual would be enough.

Coming from New England to visit Denver, I wasn't expecting this place to be as fresh and high quality as it is. I was definitely wrong. We were greeted at the door with amazing dry aging blue fin and yellow tail. The staff was informative, patient, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Overall I was very happy with the many creative options we tried but will remember the crispy spicy tuna roll forever 👌🏼

Feels super bougie, sushi is fenomenal, and the atmosphere is great! Grocery store sushi can’t compare! The servers were welcoming and super helpful with recommendations! If you’re looking for a good sushi place in this landlocked state GO TO SUSHI DEN!

Sushi Den is just as amazing as it was 4 years ago. The service was great and I love how the sushi comes out as it's made. The prices are on point. It's always fun because there are a variety of people there.

This wasn’t our first time at Sushi Den, but we’re always blown away by how delicious everything is. As luck would have it, our server is always Joe, who is incredibly attentive. The combo of amazingly fresh food and Joe’s attention is always a good time. Make reservations in advance, they fill up quickly. Can’t wait for our next stop at Sushi Den! P.s do yourself a favor and get the miso soup

It was a great experience, sushi is very fresh and tasty!!! I was surprised by how fresh the sushi was. Price is very reasonable, but service was okay. Would definitely be back for the yummy food!

Atmosphere and service was great. Sushi was fine. My wife and I recently visted here for her birthday and tried most of the specialty rolls on the menu. We both felt like the food was not worth the price and have had superior fish for much less. The atmosphere and service is fantastic, but if you’re coming here for a dining experience in regards to food, your money is better spent at elsewhere.

We went here for my birthday and sat at the sushi bar. Cruz was our sushi chef, he did an amazing job. The food was great, sake was great as well (we ordered the sake flight). The sushi is very reasonably priced considering the high level of quality. We will definitely be back!

If you like sushi you have to go here. Best in Denver! Our server was awesome, cocktails were great, and the sushi was absolutely amazing. Very fresh and well balanced. Highly recommend you give them a try.

The service is really good! The service knew the menu really well and explained a lot to us. The atmosphere was good. And it provides a lot of options for the drinks and foods. The tempura was nice but there were not as many as we expected when ordering ordered large. The sushi were delicious! It came with the salad and soup. The salad is...well... interesting. But the soup was pretty nice. Overall, I recommend having sushi here!

This place has a very distinct reputation, and a reputation well deserved. Definitely the best sushi I've ever had, and in Colorado no less! How silly is that? Anyway, I tried sea urchin and octopus for the first time, and both were very unique experiences! Highly recommend a visit, everything I tried was an absolute home run, though. You should make sure to save up for the trip, it can get pretty pricey.

The best sushi me and my wife have ever had. Our server Zachery (hopefully spelling that right) was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and helped us choose what we might like or what to experience. Major props to him. Cannot sing the praises of this place high enough.

I’ve been to many sushi restaurants in town. Many are not worth writing a review. I finally can say I’ve found my favorite sushi spot in Denver. A reservation is highly recommended. There could be a long line waiting to get in even if you go there before 5 pm. My first bite was the Toro from Croatia. It was love in first bite. It was buttery, rich and just melted in your mouth. I don’t remember how many re-orders I put in after that. All of the others were fantastic too. The price is reasonable. The portion size is decent. What a great meal!

Sushi Den was recommended to us by our Airbnb host and it lived up to its hype. We split the Osaka style Aburi Sockeye Salmon, which was perfectly seared and delicious. Next we ordered a kitchen special; the crispy spicy tuna. It was very flavorful with a light spice to it. Lastly our server said her favorite dessert was the Belgian Chocolate Mousse cake, so we gave it a try and it did not disappoint! We personally enjoyed sitting on the second level as it had a much more enjoyable ambience and during the warm months has a section of the roof that opens. Enjoy!

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Denver. Period. I highly recommend this place for date night. The food was good but the aesthetic was incredible. Get yourself a table on the second floor and feel transported to a world of lights and nature. Will definitely come again 👍

One of the best and my go to restaurants for sushi in Denver. From the binchotan charcoal to the fish they use, the quality speaks for itself. One of my favorites is the scallop nigiri that’s been grilled with their special charcoal. Pair it with a cold sake and you have bliss. It’s always busy here so make sure you left in line before the restaurant opens, or place a reservation.

Best sushi of my life. Tastes, textures, ambiance, all perfect in every way. One of my favorite parts was the shocked exuberanceof the guy sitting next to us. Helped remind me that it was really special. I'd definitely go as far as 7 stars on this one.

Sushi Den is the best sushi I have ever experienced within the contiguous US. The service is fast and the staff is friendly and helpful. The sashimi is incredibly flavorful. The tuna and whitefish are my favorites. The spider rolls are always my favorite on any menu. The Den’s eel sauce is incredibly delicious. I’d recommend trying anything that has the sauce. And they have Sapporo on tap. This place is one of my top 10 favorite restaurants. Well done!

Hands-down next sushi I have ever experienced. I would fly back to Denver just to have this meal again. I highly recommend this place if you like quality sushi. A bit pricey but totally with every penny. Our server was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about each dish. No reservations at this time due to staffing, but walk in wait at prime time was only about 10 minutes.
