Work and Class has maintained its spots on list of Denver's top spots for years because its simple, delicious and fun. You order your proteins by the 1/4 pound and piece together your meal from other small ala carte items. Drinks are reasonably priced, there's always a good combo deal and the place is usually packed. It's fun to eat there and you get a great variety with the way the menu is set up. Be prepared for it to busy, to be seated close to your neighbor and to get your hands a little dirty tearing up a lemon chicken or braised goat.

Really incredible meal - everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. We had the Colorado lamb, which was ever so slightly tough but a quality lamb. We also ordered the goat cheese mac and cheese (an incredible idea), the massive attack salad, the blue corn empanadas and the spicy garlic braised greens, which surprisingly was probably my favorite. I’ve never liked sautéed greens as much as these. Everything was great, will definitely be back.

Unfortunately the food is hit or miss. We liked their blackened trout although it was a really small fish with almost no meat, would order two next time. The smoked mac & cheese is definitely their best side. We also ordered the rotisserie chicken that was flavorless and the braised pork that was really dry. The restaurant is small and the tables are so close to each other that our chairs were hit multiple times by rushing waitresses. I added a star for their tasty cocktails!

This place is really cool! Loved the vibe. It has a fun, industrial aesthetic. The staff were attentive and vibrant. The food itself was really great. The empanadas, salad, mac-n-cheese, and chicken were all delightful. It was all really savory and flavorful — I hope to come back and try some brisket! They have a good beer selection and nice bars as well. This is a perfect spot for after work or a casual dinner with friends.

Ah man just an all around great American food spot. Food was delishious, service fast and attentive, and the price was great for what you got. I got out spending probably 20%ess than I thought I was going to spend. This should be on any locals short list to visit - and should definitely be up there if you have family or friends in town you are looking to share a solid meal with. All food comes family style which is a great move. Small portions are good for 2 people, with large portions serving about 4 people. Get as many things on the menu as you can stomache. All great and quality fresh food. Hard to say much more. It's a quintessential American restaurant in Denver to try out. I'm looking forward to making it back.

I’ve visited twice within 8 months on 2 separate trips to Denver. On this second trip we were seated right away, it was around 9pm. It looked a little busier after we were seated, but no wait for us this time. We each ordered our own small plates. The blue corn empanadas are a staple, and I’m so glad I got them again. Chefs kiss!! I also tried the plantains and they were absolutely delicious!! We each ordered a 1/4 pound of meat. I got the short rib, and my bff got the lamb. She also ordered the goat cheese mash potatoes. We left satisfied and very content. Must try in my books if you want a variety of options!!

This is an awesome, tiny restaurant with interesting food. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish we had. Most of the options are gluten free, although some are fried in a shared fryer. The server guided us to the safe options. The restaurant was VERY loud to the point where my ears hurt.

Wow just incredible. Got some brisket and lamb and fries. All of which were so good. I think the Cajun fries might have been the best though, especially with the dip. Also got a happy hour special of rib tips and coleslaw which was a great deal. Warm, lively space. Service was ok. Street parking in the back.

Great food without all the fufu and reasonable fare. Highly recommend, casual fun atmosphere and good service. A modest but accommodating menue selection of superbly prepared portions. Wonderful unique concept for a satisfying and enjoyable experience. Recommend lamb, trout and sweet potato fries.

Served family style, the offerings at Work and Class are full on flavor fireworks for your mouth. I had the coriander roasted lamb with blackened sweet plantains. It was one of the best meals I've had all year. I would love to come back.

One of my favorite spots to visit when I'm in Denver, this is a legit tapas place where you are never done exploring the excellent menu. The blue corn empanadas are fried deliciousness, delicious and cheesy. But, my new favorite is the lamb meatballs. They are incredible, bathed in melted cheese and a sauce that wouldn't be out of place at an expensive Italian restaurant. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's unique, worthwhile experience.

Snagged the only seat open at the bar. The bartender was so good and so knowledgeable. I enjoyed the conversational vibe here too. Everyone was in their own group but would still be willing and open to talk to me. Always prefer that over the many-pods at other bars. Highly recommend starting traditionally (think Manhattan) and then exploring. Their mixer-based drinks are fun but it's the riffs on traditionals that were more enjoyable.

Food was amazing! Had Lamb and Chicken, Plantains, Sweet Potato Fries, everything was delicious! Will absolutely be back and bring back friends to enjoy! Ate the food too fast to get proper pictures 😅

Great BBQ palce! Friendly staff, communal seating, lively place. We got lucky, got a seating next to the kitchen, and we were offered some amazing samples from the chef (lamb and croquettes). I normally hate lamb, but I want to order it next time! We decided to get brisket and chicken, with sides of mashed potatoes with bacon and goat cheese and seasonal veggies. Everything was absolutely great. The potatoes surprised us with strong smokiness. We finished with a blueberry cobbler, and it was amazing, too. There are no reservations, so it makes sense to come earlier, get your name on the list, and grab a drink on the opposite side of the street, depending on the time you have. Most of the menu if gluten free.

We couldn't have enjoyed our experience more here, for drink, food, and service. I had the green peppercorn brisket, and although you should be aware the portion is not very large, it was magical in taste. I had the Gouda mac and cheese side with it, and after adding the habenero hot sauce to it, it was some of the best I have ever had. Wife had the Cajun trout and the braised greens and they both were solid also. Spencer was our bartender, and although he was busy, he handled everything like we were the only people at the bar. I would highly recommend, and try and get bar seats.

Pretty good food but small portions. Waiter also sort of led a friend into ordering a side of tiny tortillas that cost five bucks without mentioning the extra charge. 1.25 each, like what? Overall a bit too expensive for what you get but a nice variety of shareable food.

My all time favorite place to eat in Denver — a hidden gem! The menu changes seasonally I believe but everything I’ve ever ordered was delicious.

Delicious BBQ and sides. I'd recommend about 1/4 pound of whatever you order and 1 side per person. Definitely a place to share plates.

The ambiance is cute! It’s a little busy nook in RiNo. Our server was cool and informative. And very laid back! We loved him. We ordered the trout, rice & beans, and seasoned veggies. The trout is a full body fish, head attached. Charred. Maybe 2 measly oz of actual meat after you get through the bones and skin. Rice & beans were flavorful! A small was perfect size for 2 of us. The seasoned veggies were mainly potato and very oily. Drinks- Meh. But overall I probably wouldn’t come back or recommend to a friend.

The lamb is a must try! Food was good and the service was fantastic. Sitting on the heated patio was comfortable, not cold at all even at night.

Delish family-style food!! Order the trout and ask your waiter the right way to eat it! Sounds/looks odd, but it is INSANELY good! Don’t miss this gem.

We sat at he chefs table overlooking the kitchen. The kitchen team was like a well oiled machine and they produced outstanding food. Service was great, friendly, engaging. By far our best meal of our weekend in Denver.. would definitely come back.
