We absolutely love it here! The food is delicious. We recently got married in December. We had a small wedding and we held our reception here. The owner/chef was amazing! He really went out of his way to make sure that we all had a wonderful experience! There was tons of food and drinks and they were amazing! They helped decorate the restaurant and we provided the decor. They did such an amazing job! We really can’t thank everything there enough for helping us out on such a busy wedding day. Everything went smoothly! We really could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding! Thanks for going above and beyond and making our day special! Truly exceeded our expectations! We shall return here again for some more yummy food! :)

Absolutely phenomenal tapas, top-notch service, and a great atmosphere. My wife and I stopped by for a date night and everything we ordered was incredible. We ordered some tapas that we had in Spain, like pan con tomate and jamon serrano, along with some unique tapas we haven't tried before, like a special flatbread with quail eggs, and it was all incredible. The portion sizes are solid for the price and our server was incredibly attentive, swapping out our dishes and refilling our water regularly. We highly recommend stopping by and we can't wait to be back to try more tapas!

What a wonderful find! I loved this place. We had a Spanish Tonic, the Gatlic potato Croquettes, and the lamb meatballs. All of it was divine, so enjoyable we had to order a second round of Croquettes. Great location, too!

Edit - upping to a 4/5 because I tried their main tapas menu - they are amazing! True score is 3.5/5 though - got undercooked pork for one tapas which is pretty bad. Everything slapped, all dishes AT LEAST 4/5 (other than the undercooked pork). Drinks still feel average, and prices are expensive for the tapas, even though they were fun. Pretty slick place that I’d like to try again. Average tasting cocktails for pretty expensive price. Got dessert with drinks here and the desert was beautifully dressed, but a bit to eclectic for my taste. It had thyme and cilantro on ice cream, straight up yuck. I’d like to visit for the actual food and re-rate in the future.

Get a reservation before coming. On Tapas Tuesday they have 9 options of Tapas for $8. You must get their muscles (Mejillones con Tomate) and order an extra plate of bread to dip. The bread is phenomenal. The Setas Salteadas (mushrooms) are great. Everyone I go with tends to agree that some of their plates could use a bit more seasoning. Their croquettes are decent. They have a great wine selection. Very small beautiful restaurant. Their service is incredible and I appreciate that. They explain every dish they bring out to you.

I’ve been here many times and it’s always delicious and great atmosphere. It is a pretty small restaurant so I would strongly recommend reservations on the weekends.

We are foodies and we have been going to this wonderful place for several years. The owner cooks up some of the best staples, especially the seafood paella. What stands out is all of the food is authentic and consistently great. The service is great, sincere and not pretentious. This is why we always take our out of town clients and family members here when they are visiting Denver. Q

Wonderful charcuterie board with several gourmet meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, fruit and a delightful basket of mini baguettes. Thank you 9th Door for making this for my party. It was completely gone by the end of the night.

This is a pretty good place. The food was great especially the paella, it felt very fresh too even though I usually have my doubts of ordering sea food in a landlocked state. We generally had a good time from appetizers to dessert. The atmosphere was busy but we had a nice little booth area and felt like a private dining experience. We would totally go back here again. In my opinion, the reviews on something unrelated to the quality of their food and complaints of price make the ratings down for this place. I thought the place, the food and experience were all great. I would say it's arguably pricy? But I felt like it was good for the value. It's near downtown, a short walk from Capital Hill so you can stop by here after hanging around the area or have dinner and then walk around. In general, if you're in the area, exploring Denver and have a nice meal of Spanish tapas this is a great place for it. Pretty busy on the weekends so you should probably book first.

I haven't been this excited about a spot in Denver in a long long time. I loved every single thing I ordered. The food was high quality and fancy for the price and I'm really excited to go back so I can try everything! The service was great. Gary is the best! They can recommend several different wine and cocktail options to compliment your meal. I don't drink so Gary hooked me up with a fruity mocktail and it was FABULOUS! They also have an amazing Tuesday Tapas Special that offers several menu items just $8 each Vegan & Vegetarian options that are 🔥 too..... but honestly you don't even need a reason to eat here. It's that good! One of my top favorites! ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️

It’s hard for me to give 5 star to any place:) but this Tapas/Spanish/ Basque pintxos restaurant is just cherry on the top! The food is delicious, presentation and freshness 10/10! You can compare this restaurant to San Sebastián which has many Michelin stars under their belt. The food is explosion of flavors and authentic!!! The owner/ Chef Brian Murphy is truly a delightful soul to talk. He is knowledgeable and very attentive. The average cost per person will be around $50 but worth every dollar. Hard for me to remember the dishes I tried so the bill is attached and I tell you, every dish was worth every Penny. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner tonight and thank you staff for the passion and love you serve the customers! Will surely be a frequent flyer here💕

I'm in the service industry and never really take the time to leave reviews, like ever. This place deserves more than a review, maybe it's the aroma of flavor still dancing around in my mouth, but it deserves an ovation!! We came here tonight for our first time and have never experienced anything like this place. From the very beginning, Tony was our server and was absolutely outstanding!! For being new he was warm, knowledgeable, genuine and welcoming. We did not know what "tapas" was he offered perfect suggestions. Now let's get to the food, everything was like a surprise to my pallet. You can taste every ingredient. This was truly a unique, wonderful experience and we will be back for life. A MUST check out in Denver!!

Popped in on a Tuesday for a date night. The atmosphere was excellent, the dining room looked very clean. Our server, Gary was really knowledgeable about wine and helped us pick good pairings for the food we tried. And yes, all the food was delicious and unique things I haven’t had at other restaurants. We had a great time here and were really impressed!

We were here on a slow weeknight. Waiter greeted us and was friendly and helpful with the menu. Unfortunately, after we ordered the service level dropped significantly. We ordered olives, a cheese/meat combo, three tapas and dessert. Every single dish was brought out separately with 10-20 minutes between servings. We had ordered the olives to go with the cheese/meat plate (and mentioned this to the waiter), but they were brought out ten minutes prior to the plate. I get that the cheese plate is a course on its own and I get the different pace of eating in Southern European countries. But I’ve been to plenty of tapas restaurants (including in Spain) and I know you’re meant to eat various tapas together, not one at a time. Patatas Bravas are not meant to be eaten as a solo dish, they are meant as a companion dish to other tapas, for example. We asked a couple of times if things were coming out and were told they were on their way. Very frustrating. In addition, the waiter got one of our orders wrong. As to food quality we found the omelet and Bravas dishes to be underwhelming. Bravas needed more sauce. The chicken croquettes were delicious as was the specialty peach dessert.

Top Happy Hour: This Tapas Spanish oriented restaurant has a creative, extended and affordable Happy Hour (typically weekdays 4-6pm). The generously portioned “Platos” Tapas included “3 Croquetas de Pollo” for $9; A Queso Cheese and Hamon plate for $9. The “Pollo con Chorizo” was an almost-entre-size treat, with sauce and spices, $12. The House Spanish Red wine was ($6); Sangria is $5 glass or $20 pitcher. Our server Lauren was very knowledgeable, with suggestions about portions and wines. COVID-safe seating was well done throughout.

First time here. Sat at the bar for an early 5:30pm dinner. The “Cabriola” red wine absolutely divine. Medium/full bodied with a smoky yet fruitful finish. Albóndigas (lamb) hot tapa delicious. Very nice service. I will most certainly be back. Menu looks amazing.

My boyfriend and I came here for a reservation at 5:45pm. Didn't have many options for people who don't drink alcohol or wine. But the food tasted absolutly amazing! Reminded us of when we were in Spain 3 years ago.

Wonderful food! I would definitely just go with the flow the day's special. The pork chop and chicken plates I ordered were beautiful and richly flavored. Friendly service with a quiet atmosphere.

Dang I toggled between four and five stars for some time because it’s just a hair below five stars but they are definitely doing lots of things correct here. Service is warm and inviting with a natural flow, they seem to always be there when you need them but never annoyingly there. Now I feel I need to explain why I think they are a hair below 5 stars because it’s an extremely personally reason that may have no consequence for your enjoyment. Basically there were some dishes ordered that had copious amounts of well layered powerfully delicious sauce. I wanted to enjoy every last drop! This required more than the two pieces of bread provided with the dish. So we order more bread, 2 pieces came out… personally I wanted a loaf but 4-6 would have propelled them to clear 5 star status. As I said, this is a small detail for many but boarders on sinful for me. Happy hr ends an hr before what is listed on the website at the time of writing this and is only at the bar or at the high tops in front of the bar. While the look of this restaurant may be more on the bar end my child was welcomed and catered to with the same warm hospitality mentioned at the beginning of my review. Cocktails are extrema well crafted and have many hard to find Spanish liquors utilized that pair wonderfully with the dishes.

As always, the 9th Door was excellent starting at the reception, the customer service, the waiters, the chef, the food and most importantly, the establishment itself. I had brought my brother, niece and father here for their first time and they all left highly impressed, truly satisfied, and fully stuffed from the excellent food choices they made off of the menu. I highly recommend this 5-star restaurant to others.
