This was a great find! We were very impressed with their authentic Italian dishes. We loved their Bolognese and Carbonara! Their fried chicken and meatballs were too die for!!

Any argument about the best Italian dining experience in Denver must include Odyssey Italian. This place is unforgivingly cozy, charming, and quirky. Set in an historic Victorian home, it's like the owners went to their favorite 5 star restaurant in Italy, stripped it of all pretentious elements, and brought the basics to Odyssey. Now this was our first visit, and it happened to be our 11th wedding anniversary, so we had certain expectations. I'm happy to report they were all met! Starting with the Hostess, who greeted us by name, offered us a choice of tables (of course we chose the cozy corner), to be followed by an excellent Server whose name is "Z." Yes, I guess his family could not top the best letter of the alphabet. It happens that Z is himself a culinary student and when he explained that this is the only Italian restaurant that he, his family and friends dine in, well that said a mouthful! So, we bypassed the usual Cesar salad starter and opted for the Arancini. We found them a little crispy on the outside but the interior mixture of rice, cheese, peas and seasoning indicated this was going to be a wow level dining experience. My wife opted for the Eggplant parmigiana and I have to say, this was the most tender and fork friendly eggplant ever! I chose the penne rustica, and was met with a perfectly al dente pasta, with chicken and a sausage that would justify any vegetarian to question whether be they made the right decision. And be ready because the food is plentiful! Yes, this restaurant serves up some really high end dishes, and some very basic ones. But judging by the wide variety of guests that filled the dining room this evening (aged 2-80), there is something on the menu for everyone. I did find it odd that their online and website photos do not represent their menu accurately. As a food photographer, a restaurant's images weigh heavily in my decision to choose one place over another. If you are like me in this regard, I urge you to suspend your judgment and give Odyssey a try. Your taste buds will thank you! In closing, I thank you Odyssey and your staff for a super delightful experience and know that we will be back, special occasion or not. #LiveRemarkably

This was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it! Awesome food, great atmosphere, and service was fantastic! They have a great selection of very good wines also, and I had our server recommended one, and it turned out very well! Parking can be tricky, though, so be prepared to circle the block a few times to find a spot. Overall, we had a great time, and I highly recommend checking this place out if you love authentic Italian food!

First timer and I will definitely be back! Exquisite service. Everyone was super courteous from the time we hit the door, until the time we exited. I recommend setting a reservation, because this place gets busy... Now! The food was AMAZING! Even the bread and the sauce they serve with it was like nothing I've ever tasted. Portions were good as well as pricing was not too bad, as I took home leftovers. The atmosphere was unique! I loved it. The cute restaurant is basically a 3 story house and I've never seen anything like it! It's great! It is a bit cramped but honestly they make it work and you really don't even notice because your so busy concentrating on the food, and just the overall environment. Definitely a go to for a night out on the town/date night. I feel like they have something for everyone on the menu as far as Italian goes. I had the Chicken Alfredo with grilled chicken and some kind of marinera gnocchi with crispy parmesan chicken which was absolutely the best! Not too mention their extensive wine listing. It was pretty packed for a Thursday night, the only thing was parking was a bit of a hassle but it is to be expected in that particular area. We found parking not too far from the restaurant, just had to cross the street. Lovely experience!

We made reservations for 830 to the best romantic Italian restaurant I have been thus far!! The food was beyond great and delicious. The bottle of wine we drank was so sweet and went perfectly with what we ordered. We ordered Lobster stuffed mushrooms & Sausage, pepper, and onions to start off then finished up with Shrimp Palermo and a Clam bake. The only thing I did not like is they have no parking near the restaurant so be sure to get there early to find good parking.

Incredible food and atmosphere! Our waitress was super knowledgeable about Sicilian foods and wines and gave us great recommendations. The osso bucco was a standout, as was the cheesecake. Best Italian food I’ve ever had, will definitely be back!

They recently changed management, and unfortunately the food reflects that. The bread is dry and crumbles. Their pasta is soggy and mediocre at best. Their Cesar salad came without any dressing. We tried the special of the day, a crab bisque which tasted like generic seafood flavored heavy cream. It’s a shame because this used to be one of my favorite Italian spots in Denver.

First dining experience at Odyssey Italian was nothing short of amazing! A perfect and cozy atmosphere for a delicious Italian meal with my family. Mom was in town and she absolutely loved it! Our server Jannah was incredible - we had so much fun laughing and chatting with her at our upstairs table. This place feels like home. 10/10 all around, I will definitely be back!

We had the best time at this restaurant. The service was the best I've experienced in Denver. I ordered the manicotti with the parm crusted chicken, and I was blown away. I highly recommend this place. Especially on Mondays when it's $10 pasta night.

Great place on 6th that serves some seriously fresh pasta. Sat on the patio which is right on 6th Ave so not the quietest place, but inside looks much more cozy and intimate. This wasn't a romantic dinner for 2 on this visit so not quite as big a deal. Service was slow, but the food was worth the wait. A plate of bread with evoo, balsamic, fresh garlic and spices was the first thing to be enjoyed. Stuffed mushrooms were not overly spiced and the saffron shrimp pasta was slightly spicy, slightly sweet which was a nice change. Lobster stuffed ravioli was just right and the portions were very large. If you're like me, and just a small amount of pasta fills you up; one entree split between two diners will be more than enough. Definitely plan on dining here again.

It was my daughter's birthday and we wanted to celebrate with her. She loves Italian food and finding a place that could sit 11 people was really difficult, but I called Odyssey and they said that they would seat us. That was so great. When we arrived, they had the table ready for us on the patio. The space was tight, but the place was really cool. It just has a neat atmosphere with being in the avenues and seeing so many people walking around. The server couldn't have been better. The food was excellent. I loved the bread. So good! They brought plenty and it was served with an olive oil mixture that included garlic and vinegar. So good. I ordered the chicken parm and couldn't have been happier with it. I highly recommend Odyssey.

Amazing!!! AUTHENTIC! All of the reviews saying this is like an Olive Garden must have not slept well the night before. Our pasta was recommended by the waiter and it was to die for. The waiters spoke Italian, the kitchen was lively, and our food came out in the perfect amount of time. My husband and I were very happy with our meals here.

We went here on a Monday night, the deal with Monday is all of their pastas(only) come for $11.99 instead of regular $20. Food was really good, Lamb shank is a must try. Sangria was good, Negroni was just Gin, we should have tried Martini! Besides food being great, place was packed with waitress stomping around. One of the reviews said they took away salad plates without asking, the same happened to me, they took away all my utensils along with salad plate:( Be prepared to raise your voice when you are still working on your Caesar salad(comes with any entree) and it was really good! It’s not a fine dining, expect chipped off utensils, very thin paper napkins, delays in service etc. May be it’s because of Monday, no matter what the deal is, they can’t treat customers as if they are giving away free stuff. People aren’t arrogant but they looks tired and impatient. You feel like you are in a race to order the food with people rushing around. No complains about place being compact but not a pleasant environment. I would go back just for the food with minimum to no expectations on service like any fast food place or just order a take out!

My experience here was honestly not that great. From the reservation not being honored at the right time , the staff was very dismissive towards my family. We would be talking to the server and he would walk away to help another table mid sentence. This happened multiple times and it was very rude. We got an appetizer and he came out mid us eating to and was about to tell us that he didn’t know what happened to our food lol . I got fettuccine Alfredo and it wasn’t anything special. Very ok . Anyone could make what I had at home 🤷🏽‍♀️ my table had the calamari for our appetizer and it was just ok . The food looked good but the taste wasn’t there . My guests also felt the same way with their dish

I really believe my daughter and I died and gone to food heaven. I ordered the lamb shank with pappardelle and my ordered the spaghetti bolognese. For appetizer Sicilian arancini balls. Everything extremely fresh, flavored extremely well and delicious. We were seated promptly with our reservation. Mitch S. our server was attentive and worked very hard even though front of house inundated him with tables all at once. He didn't skip a beat. Whenever in town or looking for a beautiful and delicious Italian restaurant this a must try!

Went for the 1st time tonight for our 21st anniversary. They sat us in the violin room…..perfecto!! I’m a violinist and my husband a luthier. Clam bake and carbonara with a crispy chicken cutlet to eat. And the 3 layer chocolate cake. So delicious!

I am a self professed Italian food aficionado. I moved to denver a few months back and when I found odyssey I knew it would be my permanent fav for Italian food. What you wouldn’t expect is that the hospitality is unmatched. The staff here truly made us feel at home, took our music requests and even let my fiancé play dj. Honestly the food is great but the experience is what will keep me coming back more than anything else. 12/10. If you like cozy homey places you will love. Also .. The meat balls are incredible.

The pastas were absolutely fantastic! We went here on Monday so the pastas were $11.99 instead of $20+. If you are coming here for Monday pasta night, I would call ahead and make a reservation! They do have a warm patio for walk-in customers but it did get filled up pretty quickly so I would definitely make a reservation. Other people recommended lobster stuffed mushrooms, but I found them to have too much fish smell as if they weren’t necessarily fresh. But we are in Colorado, in a landlocked state so I guess that’s okay. The olive oil dressing that came with bread was amazing as well! Loved the atmosphere and food here! If I’m ever coming back to Denver on Monday I would absolutely come back!

Monday nights are pasta nights for $10. MAKE A RESERVATION. Very small unique restaurant. ALL of their food is phenomenal. Their fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken is fantastic. I recommend their manicotti. The lobster mushrooms are great, but not worth the price. A lovely place for a date night. Everyone in Denver must visit.

TL:DR - excellent food, excellent service, dont be afraid to ask for recommendations, wonderful atmosphere. Let me start off with the food. As someone who is not nearly as familiar with the Sicillian cuisine, I came in with an open mind and an empty stomach. The menu was a bit long, but not overwhelming. I asked for a recommendation from the staff and they recommended ossobuco. This dish will not be found on the menu apparently, but this place did a PHENOMENAL job. Dont fill up on the bread - the spread is delicious, but you want to save room for your entres. As someone who ate it for the first time, I found that the knife was merely a suggestion for stabilizing the food on the fork instead of actually cutting the food. The meat was incredibly tender and literally melted in my mouth like butter. The potatoes and vegetables paired beautifully - someone who grew up with vegetables being picked out with disdain, I couldn't help but reach for more and ate them faster than the meat. The dish looks simple, but the flavor profile is complex and creates a wonderful balance of taste and texture. Presentation was wonderful. The dessert - turamisu - sadly is outsourced, but do not be fooled. The mascarpone was well pronounced and it was a light and lovely way to end the meal. The strawberries on top were a great way to cleanse the palate mid desert and paired well with the mint and whipped cream. The service - marvelous. Z was patient, attentive, and never let my water run dry. He was able to also attend to a lot of other tables on a very busy night, but not feel rushed or impersonal with any guests. Very friendly and was able to explain and recommend options on the menu at a professional standard. The atmosphere is very intimate - excellent 0lace to take your date or family to. Of you have an old friend who is coming to town and you are interested in Sicillian cuisine, I have no hesitation in recommending this fine establishment. I will be back and bring my family here. Thank you very much for the outstanding evening!

Great service, and food was great too! Our waiter was extremely nice and funny, service was also fast and it was in the middle of rush hour. I really liked their chicken marsala, but wasn’t a big fan of lobster stuffed mushrooms. Overall great experience with good food and great service!
