It's been a few years, since I last visited. I decided to go again today because I was in the area. Service and food was great the last time I visited and I had the same great service and food today. It's a very welcoming atmosphere and even the customers are very friendly too. The servers are very attentive. This place has a "homey" feel to it, sort of like when I lived in the South. They had a good selection to choose from although, they are famous for their chicken. The prices were good and they serve huge portions. I had to get a box before I was halfway into the meal. I love chicken gizzards but never cook them so I only eat them here. Even if you don't like gizzards, I think my pictures did it justice. The batter is very light and the gizzards were tender. I had a side salad with ranch dressing and the dressing was light and flavorful. There is plenty of seating on the inside and plenty of parking on the outside with lots of handicap parking right out in front. I highly recommend it, great experience.

Old school restaurant with the best customer service. Always super friendly. Get the fried chicken. Very well priced. Soup or salad and a meal and Texas toast for 13.00 bucks is the average. Everything is home made taste and feel. Very family friendly. This is a Yes from me every time.

Wishbone is a family themed restaurant of comfort food big time! Great fried chicken, perfectly cooked and nice and has a nice and crunchy coating. I got the Chicken and Shrimp. Didn’t like the shrimp at all. It reminded me of Supermarket frozen fried shrimp - big no to that. But the Chicken and sides more than made up for it. Server Paula was a true gem!! Best server I’ve come across in a good while.

Had a group of 10 of us. Sarah did a great job serving us. We had ordered a variety of dishes, including chicken, dark chicken, grilled salmon, vegetables, steak, fish and chips, and a cheeseburger. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They also listened to the list of food allergies and they were able to cook as ordered. Please take a moment to like videos and phots you look at on this review. In the long run it will help others who are searching for places on Google.

My wife and I moved here from Charleston, SC a couple of years ago and one of the few things I haven't been able to find is great fried chicken. Somebody recommended The Wishbone to me and I tried it today. The best fried chicken I've had in the Denver area. Period. And super friendly service and atmosphere. Get there early and hungry. Can't want to be back!

So I'm not usually gonna pick fried anything but, because today was national fried chicken day, I decided to try this place, known for it's chicken. I stared with an appetizer sampler, with my choice of fried, green beans, zucchini, and mushrooms, with cheese sticks. DELICIOUS. Then I ordered a #1 and #7, oh my goodness the chicken was delicious, so moist and the skin good flavor and crunch. I of course couldn't eat all my chicken however, so I will make a classic chicken and waffle breakfast sandwich. I would recommend this restaurant. Yummy!

Fried chicken was good, owner proud his chicken as the world best. But what really impressed me was chicken gizzards. It has a very crispy out shall, pretty much like KFC. Gizzard handle properly, not smelly. ill recommend having a half set of chicken gizzards if you want to try out.

Some of the blandest, flavorless, unspiced, unsalted, uncared for food I've ever had in the Denver Metro Area. Everyone who is raving about the fried chicken has no idea what fried chicken should taste like, and likely don't own spice racks in their homes. The only thing I could say is the food was at least edible, just entirely unremarkable. Would've loved to see this place on a Gordon Ramsay show. What's crazy is the complete disparity between the food quality and the reviews. It's like these people burned off all their taste buds! I definitely agree with others that it resembles retirement home/hospital food. Maybe that's appealing for a certain audience? All I know is I kept staring at the place mat (pictured) and wondering how God had forsaken this food. The cooks/owners clearly lack both the courage to change things and the wisdom to know what to change. Absolute yikes.

We were welcomed in like old friends. Service was friendly and helpful. I brought my 5 kids here and EVERYONE loved their food. We are from MN so this felt like home cooking. This food has no ego it is delicious without bells and whistles. This place is like coming home.. just go!

The fried green bean appetizer is maybe the best I've had. The chicken is 100% legit. The soup is, too. Attentive service and very fair prices for what they bring. Huge dining area; I expect it fills up during peak mealtimes and there may often be a wait (the entrance had plenty of benches suggesting the possibility). Very good place. The food they bring is exactly the food you're hoping it will be when you order.

I was disappointed in the food quality but the cleanliness and service were great. No one I was with liked the food either. Similar to day old KFC is the best way to explain it.

This Family owned Restaurant has been around since 1963. We always go there for the Fried Chicken and mashed potatoes w/ gravy. Wishbone is extremely consistent and amazing every time! Lots of seating, almost never have to wait! Staff is always sweet and attentive! Every table has honey if you like that with your Fried chicken, we do!! They also have a takeout side if you would like to grab it to go.

This place has been around forever for good reason. Old fashioned cooking, chicken is what they're known for. Chicken fried chicken (its boneless) Used to have to ask for it old fashioned , now it comes that way. Dont let the green gravy fool you, its good. Gizzards are great too.

This is a great place for lunch or dinner they don't open until 11:00 but it is good. They specialize in hospitality and chicken but they have a great variety of awesome food on their menu it's very popular with the senior adults and it's great for everyone else as well family friendly restaurant with great food the decor is pretty awesome as well and the owners love every one of their customers they're always willing to make you happy and the wait staff really knows how to do their job and kudos to the kitchen staff as well. This is another one of those hidden gems you hear about you wouldn't even know it was there because it's hidden so wonderfully by pine trees and all of a sudden you see a big sign that says wishbone once you see that sign you just can't stop to wonder what it is so you turn around and pull in and realize my goodness this is an actual restaurant. Ask me how I know.

One of the best fried chicken I’ve had, ever. Might be the best fried chicken in Colorado. Piping hot, completely juicy, and so flavorful. It’s like if the chicken from Popeyes (chicken that I like) was consistently good. I also highly recommend the equally juicy and delicious breaded mushroom. The restaurant itself is ok and very old-time-y (think Elvis pictures) and the service was…ok. They didn’t seem to have a lot of the sides on the menu so that was a bit of a bummer. BUT doesn’t matter because of the AMAZING chicken. Wish it wasn’t so far from Denver!

I have been eating here for many years and they constantly provide quality. This is a great place to get chicken. Friendly great service every visit. Try #25 or chicken fried chicken. Desert, soup or even a ham sandwich all will be care and worth the money.

I have been coming to Wishbone for almost 50 yrs! It has Never disappointed. I even come here for my Bday every year. Their chicken IS the best. But my favorites are the Chicken fried steak, dinner, & chopped Sirloin steak dinner! It's a huge meal at a great price! And Wishbone has Always been the Cleanest restaurant I've Ever seen!! The owners are so nice too. There's a good reason Wishbone has been around almost 60 Years!! It's just Perfection!! Even their dressings are homemade & are SO good!! I can't wait to go there again. Don't forget to try their Deep Fried Mushrooms!! Yum yum yum!! 😋 You've just got to Love this place!! 💜👍

This isn’t your typical family restaurant because it’s really a family run Fried Chicken restaurant largely. You come here for the fried chicken and will be convinced of that decision the moment you enter. The fried chickens were crispy without a layer of fat sitting between the meat and skin. The gravy provided was the icing on the cake. BTW the coleslaw was very good. Our server Margaret was courteous and attentive at all times. This meal would count as one of the highlights of our trip.

Fried Chicken! Need I say more? It's the best I've had in a really long time. (I'm from the south) My husband's family has been going there since the 60's. I finally made it to have the chicken and we have been back for ribs also. Can't wait till the next time. Yum!

This place has been in business for 60 years and there is no doubt why. They have great fried chicken..and all the other stuff too!! Food I'd very good reasonably priced and portions are good. If you crave chicken..or the other stuff like chicken gizzard or livers, and great gravy..then get there. Every meal comes with TX toast and honey. The atmosphere is like any place that has been around 60 years, older decor, families with lots of older folks, but worth it for the food.

The food is awesome. Best chicken fried steak I’ve had in a long time! The yellow gravy is wonderful 💛 The atmosphere is very family friendly, they play old jukebox songs they have gorgeous clocks all over and they even give free lollipops to the kids after your meal. The service was wonderful the waitress was attentive and got 100% of our order correct for our party of 5 which is rare for nothing to be forgotten.

We've been missing out! I can't believe we lived near here on and off throughout the years, and we never tried it! Dishes are like what Mom used to make. A hearty meal at a reasonable price! Hot and fresh meals. Chicken, of course, is their specialty. Ya gotta try it if you haven't been here before. Great service, too. Our waitress did an amazing job on a busy Mother's Day!

Finally had an opportunity to have some fried chicken here. The restaurant has a homey feel and the staff treats you like a guest. The fried chicken was fantastic! The mashed potatoes and gravy were really good! The prices are reasonable and very competitive and the food is served fast and piping hot. There were so many items on the menu I will definitely be back to try more of them.
