Great food. We always get the barbacoa tacos and steak fajitas. Every single time it's perfect. The staff is great, the food comes quickly, and most importantly I've never had to ask for a refill on my drink. I think this is the best Mexican food in Highlands Ranch.

All I have to say is WOW! Everything was absolutely fantastic. From the service, food, drinks...everything a 10/10! Mexican food is my absolute favorite and this was very authentic, flavorful and very large filling portions. We even got to meet the owners who were so kind! I highly recommend the carne asada fries and the margarita flight! YUM! We'll be back really soon 😎

It’s a solid Mexican restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite local establishments due to their aesthetic is amazing! Their food was enjoyable and filling but could have been better. Support local businesses!

The food and margaritas never disappoint. I highly recommend the queso, table side guacamole, and steak fajitas / quesadillas. The salsa is also delicious, although some find it too spicy. This place also has a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm - 6pm. If you are with a larger group, they offer a pitcher of margaritas and a variety of options. This specific location gets very busy during the evening dinner rush. I have been told the wait was an hour or more on a few occasions. This restaurant does utilize a text system for their wait list. It appears to work well and is fairly accurate when estimating table wait time. If you do not want to wait for a table, I recommend arriving before 5 for parking and a table. Bar is open seating, but it also goes extremely fast. There is an outdoor patio for you to sit with a drink while you wait for a table. The service is hit or miss. At times, the servers and support staff are not as attentive as I would like, but after a few visits I adjusted to their style. Overall, I would recommend this location of los dos potrillos!

It was okay. All of the neighbors and locals rave about this place. There was a wait, 20-35 mins at 5 pm on a Tuesday. It was loud and very busy. The guacamole was very chunky and thick. Barbacoca enchiladas were good but the beans were runny and it had frozen peas and lima beans in the rice. Coming from southern California this was okay but I don't think it was as amazing as everyone else had said. Parking was also difficult, had to circle to find a spot.

This place was phenomenal.. even though this time around Guellermo our waiter took forever to pass by and check in on us.. had to give my check to another waiter.. other than that this place was delicious and people were awesome!!!!

This place is amazing! Great service! Friendly people! Took our Mother there for Mother's Day! Had a lot of fun! We all had the shrimp burritos, and margaritas! I had the margaritas platter. They were all delicious! We will be coming back to this place for sure!

Great food! This is a regular place that we choose. Just be prepared, the wait is usually about an hour for dinner on the weekends, although that is very typical for most restaurants, but there is no option for a call ahead. Service can be a lilttle spotty, but if you like margs... you can sit back and enjoy.

3.5/5. I’ve been here quite a bit, just never reviewed. It’s a very social place and almost always busy. They’ve got a lot of beers on tap and serve up plenty of margaritas as you can imagine. Haven’t had a marg in awhile but they were decent from memory. Pictured is the #12. Beef taco, enchilada, and burrito.

It would have been a 5 star except for the house margarita. The food was delicious and Angelina, our server was attentive, accurate and friendly. The house margarita tasted like a nice lemonade without a hint of tequila in it.

Service was prompt and professional. Restaurant is always clean. Food was very good today. Had tortilla soup. My only complaint is that my soup was not hot enough and I think it is a bit pricey for Tex-Mex but I lived in Texas for a long time where Tex-mex is everywhere and something for every budget. it was lunch time and very busy! So overall a win. Definitely will be back!

This restaurant is clean, efficient, and is so service oriented. I had the stuffed soppapilla with chicken and it was delicious. You can't go wrong with the House Margheritas. Yum!

First time trying this place, and it was so good! I got the street tacos with pork and they were loaded up with meat! That alone deserves 5 stars, because most places give you the tiniest amount of meat on your tacos and leave you starving. Not the case with this place. Despite being so hungry I still had two tacos left to take home. My husband got the carne asada fries and those were also delicious and loaded. Will come back here again!

We waited about 30-40 min for the table, they were super busy. Service was decent but server seemed a bit grumpy, but I get it... Everyone has an off day. The food was pretty good, nice flavor and the sopapilla was huge, but it wasn't overly sweet which is good. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I'll visit them again. But next time I'll try calling ahead first.

Overall a great time every time we come. Just a heads up that there is usually a 30m-60m wait on the weekends for dinner so keep that in mind. The service is always very fast & the shrimp tacos were great.

I was really happy to find this restaurant. This is truly authentic good Mexican food. The sauces are all made here with a great balance of heat and flavor.

Excellent food with quick service at Los Dos Potrillos. We have been several time on our trips to Highlands Ranch. The place is always busy and after 5PM there will be a wait for a table but it is worth the wait. We are working our way through the menu and have not had a bad experience yet. I am partial to the seafood options but the meat and veggies options are solid as well. If you enjoy beer, there is a large selection to go with many other varieties of alcohol. If you are in the area, stop in and enjoy.

Came here for Valentin day. It was SENSATIONAL. The service was absolutely outstanding. The food was other worldly good. Great music, great seating, great waitresses. Simply a GREAT restaurant ALL AROUND. 100/100 recommended.

Los Dos Potrillos is a true gem in the Mexican dining scene of Colorado. This award-winning restaurant is renowned for serving some of the finest Mexican cuisine in the state, and for good reason. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a lively Mexican cantina, with bright colors, rustic decor, and the warm buzz of conversation and laughter. The menu is a celebration of the rich and diverse flavors of Mexican cuisine, featuring a wide range of dishes from different regions of the country. The tacos al pastor are a must-try, with tender, marinated pork shoulder grilled to perfection and topped with fresh pineapple and cilantro. The chile rellenos were also a standout dish, with poblano peppers stuffed with melted cheese and served with a rich tomato sauce. The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a range of classic margaritas, as well as a selection of Mexican beers and tequilas. But what really sets Los Dos Potrillos apart is the love and care that goes into each and every dish. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are bold, and the cooking is authentic. This is Mexican cuisine at its finest, served up in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for the best Mexican food in Colorado, look no further than Los Dos Potrillos. Trust me, it's worth the trip.

Saw this place on Tik Tok as a must visit while in Colorado. There are several locations but we went to the one in Littleton, Colorado. Food was overly great. Service was over the top. The Atmosphere felt like home. We went on a Monday around 5pm for dinner and it was no wait for a party of 10 people. All the dishes were very large amounts with plenty to take home if you didn't finish. We tried going to the other location the night before but the wait was 45 minutes. Trust me, it was worth the wait. Thank you for making this a great place to have dinner for my family. The servers are over the top great! We didn't have to ask or request for anything.

We come here on occasion to eat since it's close to our house. They have free chips and salsa which are warm and delicious. The fajitas are good but always seem greasy

Service is great. Very welcoming atmosphere and clean. We had a "White Christmas" special drink, which was delightful and festive. The food was authentic, hot, and fresh!

Love this place!! And apparently so does everyone else because during dinner time it can be a 30 to 45 minute wait for a table. The salsa is SO good! Some of the best I have ever had! Would totally recommend this place for the margaritas and Mexican food. Staff is very friendly and working extremely hard! We love this place. FYI, you can purchase the salsa to go, so take advantage!

Good drinks but the food definitely is below average. I’ve had a lot of mexican food my whole life and I’m very familiar. Not sure if it’s because I’m from California and hard to impress with the insanely good Mexican food they have there but this place sucked. The service was awful. Took forever to get our food and drinks. The server was definitely a dud and really didn’t have any knowledge of much. By the way this picture is a Chile rellano. I literally had one slice of the actual pepper and it was not worth it. The only reason I have the few stars I have is because the manager handled the situation well and gave a a margarita on the house. I recommend not going here.
