First of all we drove by on our way to McDonald's and I noticed a nice lady outside washing windows at 9 in the morning. ( clean restaurant equals happiness) and my daughter says from the back seat what's that AMAZING smell. Well shoot its got to be that restaurant right there yeppp we were right 😋. We decided this was going to be our breakfast place for the morning. We went in and it's a beautifully decorated ethnic Mexican restaurant and there is employees cleaning every where bonus. They sat us right away super nice people. Brenda came and brought us warm tortilla chips, took our order she was Amazing. I was soo excited when I see the delicious looking food that came out sooo fast. I had the smothered breakfast burrito yummy, my husband had the Mexican omelet also delicious, and my daughter got the colorful shrimp tacos. BTW they serve breakfast and lunch dinner all day. All Delicious meals. We highly recommend this AMAZING place! 10 🌟

It was worth the wait (nearly an hour) for a Saturday evening dinner! Hot chips were accompanied with flavorful salsa with just enough heat. We enjoyed the Veggie Burrito and Chile Relleno dinner plates. The Chile Relleno was delicious, the burrito veggies were lightly cooked to perfection, red and green Chile smothering the dishes were excellent. We’ll be back!

Visiting from Miami, we wanted some authentic Mexican food and we found the spot. The ambiance, the smell, the host, the waiter, all kind and quick service. The food was delicious and a big portion. All that food was reasonably priced. I ended up asking for a box to go. This is now added to our list when we visit Denver Co.

We had a very underwhelming experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely bad, with us having asked multiple times for a high chair and finally having to get one ourselves. Our order was mishandled, and we waited near an hour for a molcajete and street tacos order - while watching everyone else around us eat. When we finally asked, they rushed our order and gave us an uncooked meal. Look at the pictures. The staff literally put string cheese on top of a stone bowl and served it to us. After reading such glowing reviews of this place, I’m disappointed in the experience we had. I don’t recommend this restaurant, as the owners and staff clearly don’t care about good service and food. With an abundance of other choices, take your money elsewhere.

It seems I forgot to take a picture of my food, but I got combination #11 and it was good. I have to really commend the staff, the people that came to and from our table were really attentive and helped everyone have a great experience. The inside is decorated nicely, too.

The food portions are not only huge they are delicious. I had the Chile relleno, cheese enchilada and beef and bean burrito. My boyfriend had the Mexican hamburger and both delicious. I also had the flight of margaritas all four flavors were delicious but the cucumber was my favorite. Mexican Lager was also very good. The bonus all the staff were very friendly!! We will be back for sure!!

So good! This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I know it's a Colorado institution but a new discovery for me. The carnitas are unbelievable, the tacos are on point, chile relleno is crazy good, get the pitcher of margaritas, just a good value. Fresh, authentic and prices are low. Try the Flan, trust me.

This is the first time going to Los Dos Potrillos restaurant. I Loved this place !! We had 6 people in our party and were seated immediately. We had chips and salsa waiting for us when we were seated. All portions that everyone had were large. I had the Tacos al carbon 13.95- it came with 3 street taco size tacos. It was a large enough portion that I ordered 3 more tortillas and had plenty for 6 street tacos. Everyone’s dishes looked delicious. They make homemade guacamole table side. The other items ordered were seafood tacos ( fish and shrimp) 16.25 fish tacos ( 14.25 ) crispy chicken Chile rellenos- 14.25 and the traditional chili rellenos- 14.25 The service was great and the food was hot and delicious. I Would highly recommend Los Dos Potrillos to anyone looking for great Mexican food.

The menu is huge which is a plus. The food is just ok but I’ve had much better. Unfortunately, our service was subpar. Overall, I didn’t see the hype of this restaurant but maybe it was an off day for the restaurant?

not sure how this restaurant has this high of ratings. was not pleased with 2/3 of my combination plate. “cheese” enchilada was about 3 inches long in total and contained close to no cheese at all. green chili sauce is very watered down tasting and the ground beef quality was very poor.. I would NOT return to this restaurant at all. The atmosphere is nice, I will give it that.

Went here for some lunch a while back and it was amazing! Real authentic Mexican food, and very fast service. They had this “margarita tree” and it was the coolest thing ever. A variety of different flavors and just the right amount of tequila. It was a pretty busy place but the ambiance was great!! Loved everything about it.

Oh my God this is good food! My wife and I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for a while and came across this one by accident. We have visited two of them now and i guarantee we'll be going back. Service was great, the food was phenomenal! The smothered burritos are top of the line.

We had an early dinner here and the food was amazing!! Delicious, fresh, plentiful. Service was great and the chips and salsa crispy, fresh and crunchy. Three tacos plate with beans and rice was perfection!

WOW! I’ve been told to try this place forever and finally ended up close by so here we are! The food is INCREDIBLE! We ordered an appetizer no longer on the menu, but highly recommended by friends….. the green chili cheese dip, we’d come back just for that!! We also ordered the chicken chimichanga and the crispy chili Rellenos! Everything was to die for! This place is now my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Second time eating here. Visiting friends and from Phoenix. Plenty of on site parking. The menu is filled with generous selections of Mexican meals. Our waitress was Paty ; she was professional, courteous, and personable. The service was excellent and we received our order Chicken Burrito ( enough to share one order). The portions are quite large. Highly recommend the margaritas delicious. Highly recommend this particular location

I highly recommend this restaurant. The menu is large, everyone can find something they like, and it has choices you typically don't see in other Mexican restaurants. My choice was stuffed sopapilla and it was fantastic and the carne asada fries appetizer was great also. We enjoyed the atmosphere also. Next time I am in Denver and craving Mexican I will return.

Went here with my girlfriend in search of some good Mexican cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised. Our food and drinks (Margaritas) were fantastic with service to match! The ambience is great for a casual date night and the interior design really adds to the total experience. A must try in the area for sure!

Good ambience and friendly service. Strongly recommend table side guacamole where server prepares it fresh. Other food we tried - chicken chimichanga and Four Taquitos- was standard taste.

Excellent restaurant, food was absolutely amazing. The quality and taste of the food was out of this world. The service was great and we also had a live mariachi band. Flavors were on point, table side guacamole was cool too. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Great place with great service!! We decided to stop by for training camp after the broncos signed Hackett and went here for dinner. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. Everyone was super friendly! Will definitely return and suggest everyone stop by

If service would have been better than it would be 5 stars from me. We think our sever was having a bad night, but overall, the food was freaking delicious! We moved from Texas a couple months ago and have been worried we wouldn't get the same level of Mexican food but clearly Los Dos Potrillos proved us wrong.

Home sweet home! My family and I have been coming to Los Dos for 15+ years and every location hits the spot every single time! We have had almost everything on the menu and I can’t say a bad thing about any of it! Our family favorites are the #52 shredded beef enchiladas, the burrito, the carnitas, the Chile relleno, and tacos Al carbon! The margs are bright and refreshing. The guacamole and salsa are divine!!! Never miss a chance to eat at Los Dos! Their brunch is fantastic as well!!
