Always the best for people watching! And great menu from everything American, Mexican and Asian! Union Station is such a beautiful place with the fountains. Increased security for everyone’s safety. Easy parking.

We were in Denver for a girls trip and this is where we decided to grab dinner. Food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was very friendly and their menu suggestions were great. If ever in the area, we will definitely come back.

This restaurant is officially my family’s and I favorite place to eat at. The food is delicious, the service was perfect. The waiter that served us has very good customer service (I wish I knew his name, he wears glasses) he is amazing and friendly. Friendly service like his makes customers have an amazing experience eating here. He made everything perfect for my family and me. Can’t wait to go back again. Great service and delicious food.

Thirsty Lion had been on our list for a while and always seemed to be busy, must be a great place right? Not so much. Four of us dined here for dinner for the first time on Friday, July 8th. We had a reservation, but decided upon arrival to sit at the bar (most would think service would be better at the bar, more efficient, ya know?) Our first unpleasant encounter was when another server dumped a beer in the sink near where we were sitting, which splashed into one of our beverages and all over the bar. The second, was when we noticed a cracked glass on one of our drinks. We brought this up to the bartender, who quickly poured it into another glass (which was our suggestion as we didn't want to wait for another drink to be made). Overall, the food we had this evening was great, however, the overall service experience for what we were expecting was lackluster. Lastly, the bartender who had been serving us most of the evening, must have reached the end of their shift, as they disappeared without notice. Thankfully, the bartender taking over this section was accommodating and attentive, which was appreciated towards the end of our dining experience here. Again, we were looking forward to checking out this place, but this overall experience was subpar.

The vibe of the restaurant is nice. I sat outside of the restaurant looking to the union station. The view at dusk is really great. The food is alright. I ordered the Blood orange ginger ice tea. It is nice for hot day. For the meal I ordered the IPA battered fish and chips. It was crispy and good.

My wife and I have eaten at the Thirsty Lion numerous times. It’s our go to place when we want something quick and easy in Denver. It’s typically easy to find parking nearby and most of the time there is no wait. The food is great and there is a wide variety of choices. In my opinion, they have the best poke in Denver. I love it! The atmosphere is fun and there are TVs around if you are interested in watching sports. During the warm months, there is outdoor seating as well. It’s fun to sit outside and people watch while enjoying your meal! They have a nice beer selection and the service is always great. We’ve never had a bad experience. If you are in the Union Station area, this is a great choice to have lunch or dinner, or just enjoy a beer. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Dined in on NYE without reservations. The place was packed. Greeter told us 45 min, we left our name & number and in 20 min we had a txt that our table was ready. Food, drinks, service and ambiance were all great ! Will definitely return next time we are in Denver.

The ambience is amazing. Food is pretty good but smh our burgers and fries were served cold. Amazing staff and very accommodating. Note to the manager: how come 5 people are not allowed to sit outside ? But 4 is ok? Will be back soon

Are here visiting Union station while in Denver and it was an excellent experience! Very neat environment and they play music with the music videos on TVs and the playlist was on point! The food was excellent and all four of us loved the food and drinks too! Not a single bad thing any of us can say here! Try it all, the fried cauliflower and calamari was a great start!

This was my first time visiting Denver and decided to stop by to grab a bite yesterday, and I just wanted to say that I LOVED it! Since I had never been to thirsty lion my kind waiter Mauricio recommend the chicken avocado sandwich and I have to say it was delicious! I would totally come back here again and ask for Mauricio. I think he truly made the experience at thirsty lion even better. He was kind, attentive, and welcoming to not just me but to all of the tables he was serving. I would love to go back and have him as my server. Sending love from Dallas, TX!

We went for brunch before the farmers market. Best thing about it was nobody was there. The drinks are way over priced for what you get. Not a great selection of brunch food and it’s super expensive. French toast was sooo good. They need a revamp on brunch as denver is a fierce brunch town. Great atmosphere for groups and probably for dinner.

Poke salad was very filling and good. We were there towards when you opened. The drink also tasted good but there was close to no alcohol at all. I’d bet there was none. Also, beware of the 3% extra charge they slap on your bill. I just subtracted 3% from the tip. I can’t stand those additional charges and will probably go somewhere else next time.

The food was amazing! We sat out on the patio and really enjoyed the large serving sizes. It was a tad long wait for our food. Almost 45 minutes for a 15% full restaurant, but we were taken care of and had fun.

Great food, very consistent. Good spot to go before a game. The ahi salad is a go to for me and the fish and chips are really good too.

Recently visited Thirsty Lion Gastropub in Denver and was blown away by their menu. The gojijang pork was perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of spicy and sweet flavors, while the kimchi fried rice added a zesty, flavorful kick. The Scotch egg was another highlight, with its crispy exterior and savory, soft center. To top it off, their Moscow Mules were exceptionally refreshing, making for a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend for a fusion of great flavors and a cozy atmosphere.

It's right next to union station. We got a table on Sunday lunch time really quickly. The food was okay. I had fish and chips. The beer batter was super thick and I got full eating half of the plate. My husband had a burger. It was pretty good. Great selection of beer. Good service. I can't complain.

Lively atmosphere and good food. We stopped here for dinner before a show at the Ball Arena. Restaurant is an 8 minute walk away from the venue. We made a reservation for 4:30 and were seated on time however the place was starting to fill up by the time we were leaving for the show about an hour later. Staff here were friendly and attentive with no issues. Menu is decent but not large so I would check it out before settling on this as your spot for the night. We opted for starters as dinner and were very happy with the quality of the food. Everything came out as ordered and on time. The Scotch Eggs were delicious! The beer/wine selction is ample and the full bar looked to be able to mix-up pretty much any cocktail you could desire. The seating area seemed large to me and had a mixture of booths and tables as well as bar seating. We had a good time here and would definitely come back.

My salad was good, they tossed it in dressing, well mixed, and the flavors were just right! We also got the queso with chips, it’s was cheesy and satisfying. They have a great drink menu and atmosphere.

This place has perfect atmosphere and the food is delicious and good portioned. I order the spicy chicken with salad and my husband got the gastropub burger. The cocktail I’m not sure 😅 but hour server is so good and always smelling I forgot his name but he wears glasses.

Came to get a scotch egg, it was phenomenal! First one that I've had and I'm a big fan. Great service and a nice space in a nice part of downtown.

I ordered calamari and it’s a lot of breading and i don’t like it. I am eating a breading not the calamari made me nauseous. The gay/guy in the front door and the girl , they don’t know how to say hi to the costumer, when we said Hi! , seems they are not happy and not even smiling. So let you know your business is must be approachable and hospitable. The servant are pretty nice and very attentive. The gay in the front helped other people let them beside us were my stuff is in the chair, he didn’t even say excuse me he just grab the chair and never sorry. If i know he will move it i will definitely move my stuff but it’s a lot of chair and not a lot people inside im surprised he grab where my stuff were in since we’re traveling and expect people are coming they have a lot stuff. It’s a beautiful place but treating you like that is something..

Good food, typical bar atmosphere. Normal wait. We came here while waiting for our train, and were pleasantly surprised at the location at the recommendation of a friend.

Been to a few venues in Denver, but this was our first time at the Thirsty Lion (Union Station). Brother-In-Law was in town on business and this was the pick for the evening. Nice close parking. Really good vibe, but we did feel a little older than the crowd that was there. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well and an Upslope Craft Lager to wash it down. Great smooth taste on the lager, without a lot of of an after taste that I sometimes get with a lager.

The music was really good, our waitress was super nice and the food was delicious. The fried calamari was not our favorite and we will not order it again, but the fried rice it's delicious (the pork it's spicy) and the burger was magnificent.
