This was the focal point of our trip, as we came to Denver to choose a barrel of Whiskey for our restaurant company to serve at our stores. First, we had a general tour of the facility and then had a private tasting where we chose our favorite barrel. It was an awesome experience learning about the process of whiskey being made and getting to taste their different products. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining everything. Stranahans is really fun and creative, such as aging whiskey in a tequila cask ( which is incredible).

My husband and I went on the tour on a whim while we were in Denver for our 7 year anniversary and it’s gotta be our favorite memory from the trip. Every time we go to Denver from now on, Stranahan’s will be a staple stop. The tour was awesome and the staff was even better and the whiskey was delicious. The vibe of the distillery was rustic, mountain-y (I made that word up 🙃) and industrial, all my favorite vibes. We went back the next day before a concert at red rocks to have a couple cocktails and exchange some merch. The bartender, Steve was awesome and down to earth. Kelsey was a great tour guide as well. Highly recommend!

Finally! It was one of my bucket list to do's... Absolutely off the chain Whiskey and ambiance! The tour was great and got me even more thrilled in knowing the process of making Whiskey ☺️ (you get 4 "shots" during the tour) they also have Elk & buffalo jerky which goes well with the tastings. This place was rated #1 in the U.S. now I know why and I absolutely agree 💯

There's not enough wonderful compliments I can say about this place. Their whiskey selection, signature cocktails, the atmosphere, and above all the great bartender working there - the Sunday afternoon we visited. Everything from the drinks to the amazing service made this a very worthwhile trip for us. We highly recommend Stranahan's for all you whiskey conisseurs and signature cocktail enthusiasts that are out there. Thank you!

This tour rocked. What a fun experience. We recently did a tour of the distillery which takes around and hour. Our tour was led be Zack and he did a phenomenal job. Had a lot of info while being easy to listen and kept us moving. The whisky is delicious and need to try for yourself (you get tasters along the tour!). Recommended+

We wanted to try this version of a whiskey after having been all over Ireland and Scotland. It did not disappoint and several versions were all very tasty. The setting was very nice and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. We did buy one bottle to take home and remember the trip!

Stranahan’s is an absolutely fun stop and great activity to add to your list of things to do. We came with a group of 6 and had a blast learning about the distillation process. During the tour, you receive about 4 tastes of the various whiskies that they produce. There’a a sizable gift shop with hats, shirts, bottles, and other things you can get to take home. The distillery also has a fairly large seating option inside and outside if you wish to have a cocktail or drink.

Great spot to visit if you appreciate whiskey. The place was packed with people taking a tour so be sure to call in advance to make sure they don’t have tons lined up. Was a little difficult to get drink orders and close our tab. Very kind staff! Interior design reminds you of quaint mountain cabin vibes.

This tour has been something I've wanted to do for a while. My friend called and asked if I wanted to go, so I said yes. Forrest was our guide and he was great. He was very knowledgeable and humorous and made it fun. We tried four different whiskeys, and he explained the differences. At the end of the tour, you get to keep the tasting glass and get ten dollars off anything you purchase. It's definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it if you get the chance

Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery in Denver is a must-visit for whiskey lovers. They produce some of the finest handcrafted whiskey in the area. The distillery tour is not only informative but also quite fascinating. You get to learn about the whiskey-making process and even sample some of their delicious spirits. The staff is passionate and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Don't forget to grab a bottle of their whiskey to take home as a souvenir! 🥃🥃

I was invited to be on the volunteer bottling crew. Michael and Derek were awesome as our tour guides and trainers and we bottled and tasted some of their whiskey. Sherry Finish!

I had the pleasure to have a tour with Robert. He was really passionate about his work and the whiskey at hand. He provided information that I have never heard before had my friends and I taste a special batch that blew my mind. I leave this tour with more experience in whiskey and a great hour to pass the time while having fun! 10/10 pit stop

Was looking for a place with distillery tours and found Stranahans. Never heard of them before being from California but decided to give it a try. I arrived early and got a flight of their old fashioned and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. Not too sweet at all like other places make but still very flavorful. When the tour started they gave us an etched glass with whiskey to start the tour. We got to try more types throughout the tour and even learned the proper way to smell and taste them. Chris our tour guide was very entertaining and very funny. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the whiskey and left with two of their 10yr bottles to take home. They also let you keep their really cool drunk proof shot glass. I had quite a bit to drink on the trip but felt totally fine the next morning. No headaches or hangover. Definitely top quality whiskey. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend you do the tour. For the same price as a tasting anywhere else you get a tour, tasting, and shotglass. Can't beat it.

Fantastic tour. Not only do they love their product but they are appreciative of other whiskey makers. I respect that. Great atmosphere. Definitely give the tour ago... Maybe consider a ride share.

Went here to try a flight to decide which bottle to buy :) The bartenders and person in the gift shop were all really friendly and our bartender took the time to explain the different whiskies and made some great recommendations. The bottle I purchased was wrapped up well for travel and was given some tips for best packing :) Pro tip - order a cocktail to sip between flight tastings ;) The cocktail with the French Melon in it was incredible not overly sweet at all.

Excellent distillery tour! It is well worth it. Our tour guide David was great! We received 4 samples on the tour, and you get to keep your glencairn glass. Plus, you received $10 off any purchase.

I stopped in to simply replace my favorite Stranahanns glass from my tour that just I just broke after 4 years. Max and Nicole made my night with a great Old Fashion at the bar and Jason took great care of me in the shop with a great bottle of Sherry Cask. Great place, great drinks, great service! Always coming back. Cheers!

Good tour. Includes 4 tastings of the Blue Peak, Original, Diamond Peak, and an Anejo whiskey. Be sure to stop by the bar afterwards. Great cocktails ($11-13), bartenders are cool, and they have shuffleboard

We did the American Single Malt Whiskey Tour and had a great time! It was super informative, our guide (Evan) had a fabulous personality and was super engaging. The 4 sample drinks were delicious and we bought a bottle to take home and used the $10 voucher they gave us towards the purchase. Plus we got to keep our sample glasses!

Denvers best worst kept secret! I have been frequenting Stranahans Distillery for a few years now and it's a new and enjoyable experience every time. Typically from my experiences when things get bigger they don't always get better. However the distillery does a great job maintaining the hometown fun identity that it has always had. Recently did a tour (my 3rd or 4th total) and I was again impressed. Their new distillery exclusive offerings were delicious and I like how they're not afraid to experiment with finishes. I highly recommend stopping by for a tour if you have a chance!

Did a whiskey tasting here. The bar was closed for a private event but I would definitely go back to experience it. The staff are extremely friendly. The decor is nice and comfortable.

Great distillery with lots of options. The cocktails are wonderful and you can't go wrong. The Whiskey is superb. Try the Anjeo cask if they have it! The sherry cask is a favorite! Service is spectacular and they are all willing to share their knowledge and talk whiskey!

Oh man they have gotten BIG since I was here 10 years ago. Their cocktails are fantastic and the staff is friendly and personable. The drinks are a bit light on the alcohol but they tasted good nonetheless. The outside area is a nice place to sit and enjoy your company. They have tours of varying variety and experiences. If you find yourself in the Denver area, you should stop here to experience everything they have to offer. Plenty of parking when we visited but I can see it being an issue if you visit on a weekend. Admittedly, it is in a peculiar part of Denver but what distillery isn't these days lol. Keep it up guys, you're awesome.

I’ll start this off by saying I’m not a huge whiskey fan, but do like trying out new experiences. Our guide was really informative and charismatic, the whiskey was great for sipping, and I appreciated the judgement free zone for pouring out glasses I couldn’t finish before the next tasting. Highly recommend for a casual activity to do around Denver.

I have loved Stranahans whiskeys for years, but had not been back to the distillery since 2012. While the food menu is lighter now (fewer options) I think that allows them to focus in on making REALLY good drinks, and of course on making whiskeys. So good and absolutely a place to visit and tour.
