I enjoyed the three exhibits that were open. They were put together well and facilitated the artists’ concepts overall. The building and grounds are really gorgeous and nicely kept. Staff were lovely people as well, and everything was easy enough to locate. My only issue was that two or three major exhibitions were closed and the admission price was still the same. That seemed a little off to me. I understand museums close, change, and update exhibits, but to have so much of the museum closed off at once makes for a poorer visiting experience.

I went here yesterday and it was nice. I wish they had more painting or are pieces is all. But for the price I think it is worth it. I also went to the roof top bar and eating area. And I enjoyed it. I hope they are able to fill it with some plants for the summer cause it would make people stay up there longer. Like the rooftop is nice but it is also sad. The bartenders were very friendly and happy. I got the charcuterie board which was like $20 and it was good. I liked it.

Loved this museum! It was well spaced out and curated. I really like how they did the pull slides to show multiple artists’ work. They had a variety of things which was nice if you go with someone who likes different art.

First time here and loved the vibe, so many artists I've never seen, great selection and friendly staff. Wasn't too crowded either! 10/10 would visit again.

It was okay, honestly I was not very impressed. The cowboy theme is alright. Building and views are great, nice roof top.

We were stay at the Born and got two 'complimentary passes'. We both have a general interest in art and decided to check it out on a Friday an hour or so before they closed. There are lockers for larger bags, a gift shop, and a great rooftop space with a Cafe. The rooftop is really nice and I recommend checking it out

I came here for the first time and there was an opening for a new exhibition. I felt like my behavior was policed the entire time. While looking at one scultural piece, I barely went over the very hard to see line on the floor and was immediately told to be mindful. While looking at another sculptural piece, same situation and there was no line on the floor. I saw another person get super close but was not reprimanded. These pieces have so many details. I guess I'm supposed to appreciate the surface level from far away. It's a small museum. I was surprised there was no permanent collection.

The Museum is an absolute gem! I had a fantastic time spending a few hours walking around and immersing myself in the thought-provoking exhibits. The diverse range of contemporary art on display is truly impressive.

Love this museum! They hooked me with Dirty South and reeled me in for Cowboy. This museum gives airplay for divergent and diverse perspectives with Cowboy and similar exhibitions that feature work from queer, gay, minority and indigenous artists. Thanks for showing us new ideas and ways of seeing our shared world. The signage in the museum is great and the explanations of the art invaluable but maybe the following could be a touch larger? Can’t wait to see what comes next. :)

Great architecture! I really liked the Cowboy exhibition. I didn’t know a lot of the things about the genre and it was quite informative. I just wanted to see more Art/exhibitions. The roof top was super pretty and we spent a lot of time there, talking and sipping on lemonade. I might visit again when I’m in Denver to see what new exhibition they have. All in all, a good experience!

Very nice art museum. We took a little break on our trip and just enjoyed the cafe on the 3rd floor. Very relaxing environment.

I enjoyed spending a Sunday afternoon perusing the MCA…for free! I reserved my MCA entrance ticket through the Jeffco library cultural passes system. I believe it’s also available through the Denver library and Boulder library (anyone with a valid Colorado address can sign up for a library card at all Colorado public libraries). I’m not a big museum person so I wouldn’t have thought of spending time at the MCA if not for the library perk. I liked the current exhibit on the art and culture of the South. I might purchase a membership in the future because I liked the experience so much. The modern architecture is delightful; the building has a cute rooftop cafe with small appetizers and beverages. The location is ideal for downtown exploration. I like having the option to grab lunch at a nearby restaurant like Jinya, pop into the museum, get a coffee at Hello Darling, and enjoy a stroll through Commons Park. MCA is a fairly small museum but it has a big cultural footprint for downtown-living Denverites.

I went for Anna Tsoularakis and stayed for Tomashi Jackson. Loved this little museum! Just the right size to see it all. Cute roof deck. I really liked the teen art on the top floor too.

I love art and Never have been to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Just my luck They had an exhibit called The Dirty South which was wonderfully laid out throughout the museum. I can't wait to come back for more meaningful exhibits. An excellent space!

In Denver for a conference and saw the ads for the Cowboy exhibit. It did not disappoint. The museum is small but well laid out and the exhibit was very good. The staff was excellent and engaged us. It is clear they have a passion for being there and the gift shop featured unique items that showcased the art and Denver. Highly recommended!

A wonderful art museum with some exhibits showcasing Denver artists. The building is good. Some of the pieces were interesting. I found the installation by Derrick Adams very interesting and exciting. But many large exhibition halls are packed and the building is an amazing piece of architecture with large glass windows and entrance. They also run a wonderful program that allows locals to rent pieces of art and put them in your own home for free. Rooftop bar/cafe to enjoy the sunny weather and view the city

‘Cowboy’ was a fascinating exhibition. Unexpected and striking. Definitely recommend for tourists or residents alike. The cafe on the roof was fabulous, too! A cute selection of snacks and delightful happy hour.

Went to see the Dirty South exhibit, wanted to go again but didn't make it back before it ended. There's a cafe on the tip floor with plenty of adult and non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Wow!! What a place! And I went for the Dirty South exhibition, and it was incredible! The set up at this place is really amazing. They have multiple floors and spaces (including a basement, 4 floors & even a café with a rooftop space & a kids space upstairs!) it’s stunning. 2 unique things to check out: their a lending library and a borrow art program. Very unique!!

Doesn’t have a super large collection when I was there. Rooftop view is gorgeous though. Parking is convenient on Sundays. Staff are super nice 😊

The art here was amazing and really thought provoking I had an awesome time and I highly recommended for any one who is an art lover even for people who don't typically go out of their way to go see.

Great, human-scaled museum with an excellently curated contemporary exhibition.

Nice museum, but kind of small. There isn't that much to see. You can do all in hour tops. Its, ok. Not the best.

The cafe on the roof is a nice place to get a cocktail. The cowboy exhibit, however, was truly terrible. The curator seemed more interested in pushing a political agenda than finding works with actual artistic value. A good portion of the "art" was just haphazardly captured photos from the 1970s. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. Very little of what was on display required any creativity or skill to create.

I love this museum— the times I have gone it has housed different displays, each filled with stunning art, but also deep significance. It’s a small enough building to flow like one big exhibit, but large enough to spend an hour+ looking around. There is also a rooftop bar/cafe which is a beautiful location with a great selection of drinks (alcoholic & non). I consider this to be of Denver’s (somewhat) hidden gems.
